ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਤ ॥
har kay sant sadaa thir poojahu jo har naam japaat.
O’ mortals, humbly serve God’s saints who are spiritually immortal, because they lovingly remember God’s Name and inspire others to do the same.
ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ (ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ) ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ)
ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਤ ਹੈ ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਤੇ ਸਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਤ ॥੩॥
jin ka-o kirpaa karat hai gobid tay satsang milaat. ||3||
Those upon whom God bestows mercy, He unites them with the company of such saintly persons. ||3||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਐਸੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਨਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਸੰਪਤਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਨ ਚਲਤ ਸੰਗਾਤ ॥
maat pitaa banitaa sut sampat ant na chalat sangaat.
The mother, father, spouse, children and wealth, None out of them accompanies one in the end.
ਮਾਂ, ਪਿਉ, ਵਹੁਟੀ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਧਨ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ।
ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਰਾਮ ਭਜੁ ਬਉਰੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਕਾਰਥ ਜਾਤ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahat kabeer raam bhaj ba-uray janam akaarath jaat. ||4||1||
Kabir says, O’ fool, lovingly remember God, because without remembering Him, your life is passing in vain. ||4||1||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ, (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
ਰਾਜਾਸ੍ਰਮ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
raajaasaram mit nahee jaanee tayree.
O’ God, the king of the magnificent palaces, I can not understand the limit of your creation,
ਹੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਮਹੱਲ ਵਾਲੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਥੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ (ਰਚਨਾ) ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ,
ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਹਉ ਚੇਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tayray santan kee ha-o chayree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I am a mere servant of Your saints. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਹਸਤੋ ਜਾਇ ਸੁ ਰੋਵਤੁ ਆਵੈ ਰੋਵਤੁ ਜਾਇ ਸੁ ਹਸੈ ॥
hasto jaa-ay so rovat aavai rovat jaa-ay so hasai.
(O’ God’ it is within Your power that) one who goes laughing comes back crying, and the one who goes crying, comes back laughing,
ਜੋ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਰੋਂਦਾ (ਵਾਪਸ) ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਰੋਂਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹੱਸਦਾ ਮੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਸਤੋ ਹੋਇ ਹੋਇ ਸੋੁ ਊਜਰੁ ਊਜਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਬਸੈ ॥੧॥
basto ho-ay ho-ay so oojar oojar ho-ay so basai. ||1||
and an inhabited city becomes deserted and the one which is deserted becomes populated. ||1||
ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਵੱਸਦਾ (ਨਗਰ) ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉੱਜੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉੱਜੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਸ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਜਲ ਤੇ ਥਲ ਕਰਿ ਥਲ ਤੇ ਕੂਆ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥
jal tay thal kar thal tay koo-aa koop tay mayr karaavai.
God can turn the places filled with water into land, land into a well, and well into a mountain.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪਾਣੀ (ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਰੇਤਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਰੇਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੂਹ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਖੂਹ (ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਤੋਂ ਪਹਾੜ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਕਾਸਿ ਚਢਾਵੈ ਚਢੇ ਅਕਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਵੈ ॥੨॥
Dhartee tay aakaas chadhaavai chadhay akaas giraavai. ||2||
God can raise one from earth to the sky and from sky He can make one fall to the ground (He can make a unknown person very famous and vice versa). ||2||
ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉਤੇ ਪਏ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਚਾੜ੍ਹ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸਮਾਨ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡੇਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਰਾਜੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੇ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ॥
bhaykhaaree tay raaj karaavai raajaa tay bhaykhaaree.
He can transforms a beggar into a king of an empire, and He can turn a king into a beggar;
ਮੰਗਤੇ (ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ) ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਖਲ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੇ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਕਰਿਬੋ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਤੇ ਮੁਗਧਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
khal moorakh tay pandit karibo pandit tay mugDhaaree. ||3||
He can turn a wicked fool into a pandit and can turn a pandit into a fool. ||3||
ਮਹਾਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਤੋਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਨਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਕਰਾਵੈ ਪੁਰਖਨ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
naaree tay jo purakh karaavai purkhan tay jo naaree.
It is God’s doing that a man is born of a woman, and a woman comes into existence through a man.
(ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਰਦਾਂ (ਦੀ ਬਿੰਦ) ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਜ਼ਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੪॥੨॥
kaho kabeer saaDhoo ko pareetam tis moorat balihaaree. ||4||2||
O’ Kabir say, I am dedicated to that image of God who is beloved of the saintly persons. ||4||2||
ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖ,- ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੨॥
ਸਾਰੰਗ ਬਾਣੀ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਜੀ ਕੀ ॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਏਂ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
kaa-ayN ray man bikhi-aa ban jaa-ay.
O’ mind, why are you stuck into the forest of materialism?
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਜਾ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੈਂ?
ਭੂਲੌ ਰੇ ਠਗਮੂਰੀ ਖਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bhoolou ray thagmooree khaa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You have been misled into eating the toxic herb of Maya. ||1||Pause||
ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਠਗ-ਬੂਟੀ ਖਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੈਸੇ ਮੀਨੁ ਪਾਨੀ ਮਹਿ ਰਹੈ ॥
jaisay meen paanee meh rahai.
Just as a fish lives in water carefree,
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ (ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਰਹਿੰਦੀ,
ਕਾਲ ਜਾਲ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਨਹੀ ਲਹੈ ॥
kaal jaal kee suDh nahee lahai.
but doesn’t remain aware of deadly net cast over it,
ਮੌਤ-ਜਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੋਝੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦੀ,
ਜਿਹਬਾ ਸੁਆਦੀ ਲੀਲਿਤ ਲੋਹ ॥
jihbaa su-aadee leelit loh.
and lured by the taste of tongue, it bites on the iron hook, and gets caught;
ਜੀਭ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀ ਕੁੰਡੀ ਨਿਗਲ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਪਕੜੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ);
ਐਸੇ ਕਨਿਕ ਕਾਮਨੀ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਮੋਹ ॥੧॥
aisay kanik kaamnee baaDhi-o moh. ||1||
similarly, you remain bound in the attachment for gold (worldly wealth) and beautiful women (lust). ||1||
ਤਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੱਝਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈਂ (ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ) ॥੧॥
ਜਿਉ ਮਧੁ ਮਾਖੀ ਸੰਚੈ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
ji-o maDh maakhee sanchai apaar.
Just as a honeybee amasses lots of honey,
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਖੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਮਧੁ ਲੀਨੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਛਾਰੁ ॥
maDh leeno mukh deenee chhaar.
but some person comes and takes away all the honey, and leaves nothing for the bee, as if he puts dust in the bee’s mouth;
ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਆ ਕੇ) ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਲੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਮੱਖੀ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਹ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਸ ਮੱਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ);
ਗਊ ਬਾਛ ਕਉ ਸੰਚੈ ਖੀਰੁ ॥
ga-oo baachh ka-o sanchai kheer.
and just as a cow produces milk for its calf,
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਊ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਛੇ ਲਈ ਦੁੱਧ (ਥਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਗਲਾ ਬਾਂਧਿ ਦੁਹਿ ਲੇਇ ਅਹੀਰੁ ॥੨॥
galaa baaNDh duhi lay-ay aheer. ||2||
but the milkman ties the calf by its neck and milks the cow (similarly one amasses worldly wealth for himself and someone else takes it away). ||2||
ਪਰ ਗੁੱਜਰ ਗਲਾਵਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੋ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਨਿ ਸ੍ਰਮੁ ਅਤਿ ਕਰੈ ॥
maa-i-aa kaaran saram at karai.
A person toils hard for the sake of worldly wealth,
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਬੜੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਲੈ ਗਾਡੈ ਧਰੈ ॥
so maa-i-aa lai gaadai Dharai.
after earning it, he buries it in the ground,
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਾ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਨੱਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਤਿ ਸੰਚੈ ਸਮਝੈ ਨਹੀ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ੍ ॥
at sanchai samjhai nahee moorhH.
the fool keeps hoarding it, but doesn’t understand,
ਮੂਰਖ ਬੜੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ,
ਧਨੁ ਧਰਤੀ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਗਇਓ ਧੂੜਿ ॥੩॥
Dhan Dhartee tan ho-ay ga-i-o Dhoorh. ||3||
that when one dies, the wealth remains buried in the ground, while his body also turns to dust. ||3||
ਕਿ (ਮੌਤ ਆਇਆਂ) ਧਨ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਤਿ ਜਰੈ ॥
kaam kroDh tarisnaa at jarai.
The mortal keeps burning in the fire of lust, anger, and worldly desires,
(ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਿੱਝਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨਹੀ ਕਰੈ ॥
saaDhsangat kabhoo nahee karai.
but never joins the holy congregation.
ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੈਠਦਾ।
ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਤਾ ਚੀ ਆਣਿ ॥ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਹੋਇ ਭਜੀਐ ਭਗਵਾਨ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahat naamday-o taa chee aan. nirbhai ho-ay bhajee-ai bhagvaan. ||4||1||
Namdev says, we should seek the refuge of God and fearlessly remember Him with adoration. ||4||1||
ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥
ਬਦਹੁ ਕੀ ਨ ਹੋਡ ਮਾਧਉ ਮੋ ਸਿਉ ॥
badahu kee na hod maaDha-o mo si-o.
O’ dear God, why don’t You bet with me?
ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ?
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਤੇ ਜਨੁ ਜਨ ਤੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਖੇਲੁ ਪਰਿਓ ਹੈ ਤੋ ਸਿਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
thaakur tay jan jan tay thaakur khayl pari-o hai to si-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The devotee is known from the Master, and the Master from the devotee, this game is in partnership between You and us, the human beings. ||1||Pause||
ਨੌਕਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਤੋਂ। ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਤੇਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਹੈ।॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਆਪਨ ਦੇਉ ਦੇਹੁਰਾ ਆਪਨ ਆਪ ਲਗਾਵੈ ਪੂਜਾ ॥
aapan day-o dayhuraa aapan aap lagaavai poojaa.
O’ God, You Yourself are the deity, Yourself the temple and You Yourself engage the mortals into Your devotional worship.
ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜਲ ਤੇ ਤਰੰਗ ਤਰੰਗ ਤੇ ਹੈ ਜਲੁ ਕਹਨ ਸੁਨਨ ਕਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥
jal tay tarang tarang tay hai jal kahan sunan ka-o doojaa. ||1||
From the water rise the waves and from the waves the water, but both have different Names in conversation. ||1||
ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਉਠਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਖਣ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖ ਹਨ| ॥੧॥
ਆਪਹਿ ਗਾਵੈ ਆਪਹਿ ਨਾਚੈ ਆਪਿ ਬਜਾਵੈ ਤੂਰਾ ॥
aapeh gaavai aapeh naachai aap bajaavai tooraa.
O’ God, You Yourself sing, You Yourself dance, and You Yourself blow the trumpet (You Yourself are in everything).
(ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ!) ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨੱਚਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਕਹਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਨੁ ਊਰਾ ਤੂ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੨॥੨॥
kahat naamday-o tooN mayro thaakur jan ooraa too pooraa. ||2||2||
Namdev says: O’ God, You are my Master and I am Your humble devotee, I am deficient but You are perfect. ||2||2||
ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ! ਹੇ ਮਾਧੋ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ) ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ (ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ) ਛੋਟਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੈਂ|॥੨॥੨॥
ਦਾਸ ਅਨਿੰਨ ਮੇਰੋ ਨਿਜ ਰੂਪ ॥
daas aninn mayro nij roop.
God says, O’ Namdev! the devotees who adore me and none else, are my own embodiments;
ਜੋ ਦਾਸ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੂਪ ਹਨ। ;
ਦਰਸਨ ਨਿਮਖ ਤਾਪ ਤ੍ਰਈ ਮੋਚਨ ਪਰਸਤ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਕੂਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
darsan nimakh taap tar-ee mochan parsat mukat karat garih koop. ||1|| rahaa-o.
just seeing them for an instant dispels all the three kinds of afflictions (mental, physical and social), and their touch pulls one out of the pit of the household entanglements. ||1||Pause||
ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਪਲ ਭਰ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਤਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਛੋਹ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਦੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ-ਰੂਪ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੇਰੀ ਬਾਂਧੀ ਭਗਤੁ ਛਡਾਵੈ ਬਾਂਧੈ ਭਗਤੁ ਨ ਛੂਟੈ ਮੋਹਿ ॥
mayree baaNDhee bhagat chhadaavai baaNDhai bhagat na chhootai mohi.
My devotee can loosen the knot of worldly attachment tied by me (God), but if the devotee binds Me in his love, it cannot be loosened by Me.
ਮੇਰੀ ਬੱਧੀ ਹੋਈ (ਮੋਹ ਦੀ) ਗੰਢ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ (ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦੀ ਗੰਢ) ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ।
