ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸਾ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੩੮॥
kaho naanak daras paykh sukh paa-i-aa sabh pooran ho-ee aasaa. ||2||15||38||
O’ Nanak! say, I have received inner peace by experiencing the blessed vision of God and all my hopes have been fulfilled. ||2||15||38||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ,- ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੩੮॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਚਰਨਹ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ॥
charnah gobind maarag suhaavaa.
The most beautiful path for the feet to walk is that which leads to God.
ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਨਿਰਾ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ (ਹੀ ਤੁਰਨਾ) ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਨ ਮਾਰਗ ਜੇਤਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਧਾਈਐ ਤੇਤੋ ਹੀ ਦੁਖੁ ਹਾਵਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
aan maarag jaytaa kichh Dhaa-ee-ai tayto hee dukh haavaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The more one treads upon other paths, the more one suffers and repents. ||1||Pause||
ਹੋਰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜ ਕਰੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਤਨਾ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਤਨਾ ਹੀ ਹਾਹੁਕਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਏ ਦਰਸੁ ਪੇਖੇ ਹਸਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਟਹਲਾਵਾ ॥
naytar puneet bha-ay daras paykhay hasat puneet tehlaavaa.
The eyes become immaculate by gazing upon the blessed vision of God and the hands become immaculate by serving God’s saints.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਟਹਲ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਹੱਥ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਰਿਦਾ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਸਿਓ ਮਸਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਸੰਤ ਧੂਰਾਵਾ ॥੧॥
ridaa puneet ridai har basi-o masat puneet sant Dhooraavaa. ||1||
Immaculate is that heart in which is enshrined God and immaculate is that forehead which bows to saints in humility. ||1||
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਿਰਦਾ,ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੱਥਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾਮਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਾਵਾ ॥
sarab niDhaan naam har har kai jis karam likhi-aa tin paavaa.
All treasures are in lovingly remembering God’s Name, but only the one who is preordained, receives it.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ (ਹੀ) ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਨ,ਪ੍ਰੰਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹੂੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਇਹ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਹਜੇ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਹਾਵਾ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੩੯॥
jan naanak ka-o gur pooraa bhayti-o sukh sehjay anad bihaavaa. ||2||16||39||
O’ Nanak, the one who has met the perfect Guru, he is passing his life in peace, spiritual poise, and bliss. ||2||16||39||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸੁਖ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਹੈ॥੨॥੧੬॥੩੯॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਧਿਆਇਓ ਅੰਤਿ ਬਾਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾ ॥
Dhi-aa-i-o ant baar naam sakhaa.
One who lovingly remembered God’s Name, it remained his companion till the very end.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਜਹ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਭਾਈ ਨ ਪਹੁਚੈ ਤਹਾ ਤਹਾ ਤੂ ਰਖਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jah maat pitaa sut bhaa-ee na pahuchai tahaa tahaa too rakhaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, where neither the mother, father, son, or brother can reach, there You become one’s savior. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਾਂ, ਪਿਉ, ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਭਰਾ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉੱਥੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਮਹਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਿਮਰਿਓ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾ ॥
anDh koop garih meh tin simri-o jis mastak laykh likhaa.
He alone has lovingly remembered God in the deep dark pit of one’s heart, who had such preordained destiny;
ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਧੁਰੋਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਖੂਲ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਸਭ ਤੂਹੈ ਤੁਹੀ ਦਿਖਾ ॥੧॥
khoolHay banDhan mukat gur keenee sabh toohai tuhee dikhaa. ||1||
the Guru emancipated him and all his worldly bonds are released: O’ God! he sees You everywhere. ||1||
(ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਾਹੀਆਂ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਈਆਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਦਿਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਿਆ (ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਪੀਆ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿਆ ਆਘਾਏ ਰਸਨ ਚਖਾ ॥
amrit naam pee-aa man taripti-aa aaghaa-ay rasan chakhaa.
One who partook the ambrosial nectar of Naam, his mind got satisfied and tongue became satiated by tasting it.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਚੱਖ ਕੇ ਰੱਜ ਗਈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜੁ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਲਾਹੀ ਸਗਲ ਤਿਖਾ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੪੦॥
kaho naanak sukh sahj mai paa-i-aa gur laahee sagal tikhaa. ||2||17||40||
O’ Nanak, say, the Guru has quenched my yearning for the worldly desires, I have attained inner peace and spiritual stability. ||2||17||40||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਸੁਖ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੭॥੪੦॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਐਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
gur mil aisay parabhoo Dhi-aa-i-aa.
Meeting the Guru, I remembered God in such a loving way,
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਉਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ,
ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਤਾਤੀ ਬਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bha-i-o kirpaal da-i-aal dukh bhanjan lagai na taatee baa-i-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
the merciful God, the destroyer of sorrows, became so kind to me that now no pain or suffering affects me. ||1||Pause||
ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਂਹਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੇਤੇ ਸਾਸ ਸਾਸ ਹਮ ਲੇਤੇ ਤੇਤੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
jaytay saas saas ham laytay taytay hee gun gaa-i-aa.
As many breaths as I take, that many times I sing God’s praises.
ਜਿੰਨੇ ਸਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਨਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫਤਾ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਬਿਛੁਰੈ ਘਰੀ ਨ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਸਦ ਸੰਗੇ ਜਤ ਜਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
nimakh na bichhurai gharee na bisrai sad sangay jat jaa-i-aa. ||1||
He is not separated from me even for an instant and I never forget Him; He is always with me, wherever I go. ||1||
ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋ ਇਕ ਛਿਨ ਭਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੀ ਵਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ। ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ॥
ha-o bal bal bal bal charan kamal ka-o bal bal gur darsaa-i-aa.
I am totally dedicated to God’s immaculate Name and the Guru’s blessed vision.
ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਹੂ ਪਰਵਾਹਾ ਜਉ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੧੮॥੪੧॥
kaho naanak kaahoo parvaahaa ja-o sukh saagar mai paa-i-aa. ||2||18||41||
O’ Nanak! say, I am not dependent on anyone now, because I have realized God, the ocean of inner peace. ||2||18||41||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਹੈ , ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਮੈ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ, ॥੨॥੧੮॥੪੧॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਲਗੋ ਗੁਰ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
mayrai man sabad lago gur meethaa.
The Guru’s word seems sweet to my mind.
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਖੁਲ੍ਹ੍ਹਿਓ ਕਰਮੁ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
khuliHa-o karam bha-i-o pargaasaa ghat ghat har har deethaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
My destiny has awakened, my mind has been enlightened with divine light and I have visualized God in each and every heart. ||1||Pause||
ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਗ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਆਜੋਨੀ ਸੰਭਉ ਸਰਬ ਥਾਨ ਘਟ ਬੀਠਾ ॥
paarbarahm aajonee sambha-o sarab thaan ghat beethaa.
I have realized that the all-pervading God, who is beyond reincarnations and is self revealed, is present in all places and all hearts.
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਦਿੱਸ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੁਤੇ-ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹਰੇਕ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮਾ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਣੀਠਾ ॥੧॥
bha-i-o paraapat amrit naamaa bal bal parabh charneethaa. ||1||
I have been blessed with ambrosial Naam and I am dedicated to God’s immaculate Name. ||1||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਰੇਣੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਕੀਏ ਸਗਲ ਤੀਰਥ ਮਜਨੀਠਾ ॥
satsangat kee rayn mukh laagee kee-ay sagal tirath majneethaa.
I have been blessed with the humble service of the holy congregation, and I feel as if I have bathed at all the places of pilgrimage.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਹੈ ਮਜੀਠਾ ॥੨॥੧੯॥੪੨॥
kaho naanak rang chalool bha-ay hai har rang na lahai majeethaa. ||2||19||42||
O’ Nanak! say, I have been imbued with intense love of God, which is so deep that it never fades. ||2||19||42||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ, ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਗੂੜ੍ਹਾ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮਜੀਠ ਦੇ ਪੱਕੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਉਤਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੯॥੪੨॥

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਥੇ ॥
har har naam dee-o gur saathay.
The Guru has blessed me with God’s Name as my companion.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਥੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਮਖ ਬਚਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਬਸਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਭੂਖ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
nimakh bachan parabh hee-arai basi-o sagal bhookh mayree laathay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
By enshrining in my heart the word of God’s praises even for a moment, all my hunger for worldly things has been removed. ||1||Pause||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲਹਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਇਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਭ ਨਾਥੇ ॥
kirpaa niDhaan gun naa-ik thaakur sukh samooh sabh naathay.
O’ God, the master of all, the treasure of mercy, the master of all virtues and the provider of inner peace,
ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ! ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!
ਏਕ ਆਸ ਮੋਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਉਰ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਆਸ ਬਿਰਾਥੇ ॥੧॥
ayk aas mohi tayree su-aamee a-or dutee-aa aas biraathay. ||1||
I depend only on Your support and any other support seems useless to me. ||1||
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ (ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ) ਆਸ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਆਸ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਪਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਨੈਣ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਾਵਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਰ ਧਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਾਥੇ ॥
nain tariptaasay daykh darsaavaa gur kar Dhaaray mayrai maathay.
Since the Guru has bestowed grace on me, my eyes have been satiated by having the blessed vision of God.
ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਰੱਜ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
