ਕੋਟਿ ਮੁਨੀਸਰ ਮੋੁਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਤੇ ॥੭॥
kot muneesar mon meh rahtay. ||7||
and millions of great sages keep observing silence. ||7||
ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਮੁਨੀ ਮੋਨ ਧਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੭॥
ਅਵਿਗਤ ਨਾਥੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥
avigat naath agochar su-aamee.
Our Master-God is invisible and incomprehensible,
ਸਾਡਾ ਉਹ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡਾ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ,
ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥
poor rahi-aa ghat antarjaamee.
He is omniscient and is pervading in all.
ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਭ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈ।
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਦੇਖਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਾਸਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਓ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਾ ॥੮॥੨॥੫॥
jat kat daykh-a-u tayraa vaasaa. naanak ka-o gur kee-o pargaasaa. ||8||2||5||
O’ God, the Guru has blessed Nanak (me) with such an enlightenment that wherever I look now, I visualize Your abode. ||8||2||5||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਚਾਨਣ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਧਰ ਕਿਧਰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੨॥੫॥

Raag Bhairao, Fifth Guru:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
satgur mo ka-o keeno daan.
The true Guru has blessed me with a gift.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਇਹ) ਦਾਤ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ,
ਅਮੋਲ ਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
amol ratan har deeno naam.
He has given me the priceless jewel of God’s Name.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ) ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਸਹਜ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਚੋਜ ਆਨੰਤਾ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ॥੧॥
sahj binod choj aanantaa. naanak ka-o parabh mili-o achintaa. ||1||
God, the destroyer of anxiety, has united Nanak with Him, and now He enjoys bliss and countless wondrous plays in a state of spiritual poise. ||1||
(ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਆਨੰਦ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਚੀ ॥
kaho naanak keerat har saachee.
O’ Nanak! say, (O’ brother!) eternal are the praises of God,
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ, ਆਖ, (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ,
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਚੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
bahur bahur tis sang man raachee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
therefore always keep your mind focused on the praises of God. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਉਸ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਭੋਜਨ ਭਾਉ ॥
achint hamaarai bhojan bhaa-o.
The love of the carefree God is the nourishment for my spiritual life.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ) ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਹੈ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਲੀਚੈ ਨਾਉ ॥
achint hamaarai leechai naa-o.
I am always lovingly remembering the Name of God who has no worries.
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਉਧਾਰ ॥
achint hamaarai sabad uDhaar.
I am being saved from vices through the divine word of carefree God’s praises.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਚਾਉ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥੨॥
achint hamaarai bharay bhandaar. ||2||
My mind is filled with the treasures of the carefree God’s Name. ||2||
ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਕਾਰਜ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
achint hamaarai kaaraj pooray.
All my tasks are being accomplished by the grace of the carefree God.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਲਥੇ ਵਿਸੂਰੇ ॥
achint hamaarai lathay visooray.
All my sorrows and worries have vanished by the grace of the carefree God
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ) ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਝੋਰੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਬੈਰੀ ਮੀਤਾ ॥
achint hamaarai bairee meetaa.
Because of the carefree God’s blessings, all my enemies have turned into friends.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਭੀ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਅਚਿੰਤੋ ਹੀ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਵਸਿ ਕੀਤਾ ॥੩॥
achinto hee ih man vas keetaa. ||3||
I have brought my mind under control by lovingly remembering the Name of God who is the destroyer of all worries. ||3||
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਹ ਮਨ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਮ ਕੀਆ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ॥
achint parabhoo ham kee-aa dilaasaa.
God, the destroyer of all worries, has consoled me,
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ॥
achint hamaaree pooran aasaa.
and by His grace all my desires have been fulfilled.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ) ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਕਉ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਧਾਂਤੁ ॥
achint hamHaa ka-o sagal siDhaaNt.
For me, remembering the carefree God’s Name with adoration is the essence of all faiths.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਚੋੜ ਹੈ।
ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਹਮ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਮੰਤੁ ॥੪॥
achint ham ka-o gur deeno mant. ||4||
The Guru who has given me the mantra for meditating on the Name of God who is the destroyer of worries. ||4||
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਬੈਰ ॥
achint hamaaray binsay bair.
All my animosities have vanished by meditating on carefree God’s Name,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ) ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਮਿਟੇ ਅੰਧੇਰ ॥
achint hamaaray mitay anDhayr.
The darkness of my spiritual ignorance has vanished by lovingly remembering the Name of God, the destroyer of worries.
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਅਚਿੰਤੋ ਹੀ ਮਨਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
achinto hee man keertan meethaa.
Singing God’s praises intuitively, appears sweet to my mind,
ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ,
ਅਚਿੰਤੋ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੫॥
achinto hee parabh ghat ghat deethaa. ||5||
and intuitively, I have visualized God’s presence in each and every heart. ||5||
ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਟਿਓ ਹੈ ਸਗਲੋ ਭਰਮਾ ॥
achint miti-o hai saglo bharmaa.
All my doubts have vanished by the grace of the carefree God.
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਵਸਿਓ ਮਨਿ ਸੁਖ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮਾ ॥
achint vasi-o man sukh bisraamaa.
Ever since the carefree God has manifested in my mind, it has become a permanent abode of spiritual bliss.
(ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ) ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਦਾ (ਪੱਕਾ) ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਅਨਹਤ ਵਾਜੈ ॥
achint hamaarai anhat vaajai.
A nonstop melody of carefree God’s Name is playing within me,
ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜਾ ਵੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਗਾਜੈ ॥੬॥
achint hamaarai gobind gaajai. ||6||
and the carefree God’s Name is resounding in my heart. ||6||
ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਗੱਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਮਨੁ ਪਤੀਆਨਾ ॥
achint hamaarai man patee-aanaa.
By the grace of the carefree God, my mind has been appeased and has stopped wandering around,
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਭਟਕਣੋਂ ਹਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਨਿਹਚਲ ਧਨੀ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥
nihchal Dhanee achint pachhaanaa.
and intuitively, I have realized the eternal Master-God.
ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਅਚਿੰਤੋ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਬੇਕਾ ॥
achinto upji-o sagal bibaykaa.
Discerning intellect about everything has welled up within me intuitively,
ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੰਗੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਚਰੀ ਹਥਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕਾ ॥੭॥
achint charee hath har har taykaa. ||7||
and I have received the everlasting support of the carefree God. ||7||
ਅਤੇ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਟੇਕ ਮਿਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਲੇਖੁ ॥
achint parabhoo Dhur likhi-aa laykh.
It was the result of my preordained destiny recorded by the carefree God,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਧੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕੋਇਆ ਸੀ,
ਅਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਏਕੁ ॥
achint mili-o parabh thaakur ayk.
because of which, I have realized the Master-God.
ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ l
ਚਿੰਤ ਅਚਿੰਤਾ ਸਗਲੀ ਗਈ ॥
chint achintaa saglee ga-ee.
All my worries have vanished by remembering God, the destroyer of worries.
ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਈ ॥੮॥੩॥੬॥
parabh naanak naanak naanak ma-ee. ||8||3||6||
O’ Nanak! I have merged with God forever. ||8||3||6||
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੮॥੩॥੬॥

ਰਾਗ ਭੈਰਉ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ। (ਰਾਗ ਭੈਰਉ) ਘਰ ੧ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹੁ ਧਨੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਉ ॥
ih Dhan mayray har ko naa-o.
God’s Name is my true wealth,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਧਨ ਹੈ,
ਗਾਂਠਿ ਨ ਬਾਧਉ ਬੇਚਿ ਨ ਖਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gaaNth na baaDha-o baych na khaa-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
(unlike ordinary wealth) I neither hide it, nor I spend it to show off. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਨਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੀ ॥
naa-o mayray khaytee naa-o mayray baaree.
God’s Name is my farming and God’s Name is my orchard.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਗ਼ੀਚੀ ਹੈ।
ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਜਨੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
bhagat kara-o jan saran tumHaaree. ||1||
O’ God! I am Your devotee, I remain in Your refuge and perform Your devotional worship. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂੰਜੀ ॥
naa-o mayray maa-i-aa naa-o mayray poonjee.
O’ God, for me Your Name is my wealth, and Your Name is my capital.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਰਾਸ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ l
ਤੁਮਹਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਨਉ ਨਹੀ ਦੂਜੀ ॥੨॥
tumeh chhod jaan-o nahee doojee. ||2||
Forsaking You I do not know any other wealth or capital. ||2||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਸ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ॥੨॥
ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਧਿਪ ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
naa-o mayray banDhip naa-o mayray bhaa-ee.
For me God’s Name is my relative, and my brothers as well,
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ;
ਨਾਉ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੩॥
naa-o mayray sang ant ho-ay sakhaa-ee. ||3||
and God’s Name is going to be my supporter in the end. ||3||
ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਮਹਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਖੈ ਉਦਾਸੁ ॥
maa-i-aa meh jis rakhai udaas.
One whom God keeps detached from the love for Maya, while living in the world,
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਹਉ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਦਾਸੁ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahi kabeer ha-o taa ko daas. ||4||1||
Kabeer says, I am a servant of that person. ||4||1||
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ ॥੪॥੧॥
ਨਾਂਗੇ ਆਵਨੁ ਨਾਂਗੇ ਜਾਨਾ ॥
naaNgay aavan naaNgay jaanaa.
O’ my friends, we neither bring anything with us when we are born, nor we take anything when we die, as if we come naked and depart likewise.
(ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਨੰਗੇ ਆਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਨੰਗੇ ਹੀ (ਇੱਥੋਂ) ਤੁਰ ਪਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੋਇ ਨ ਰਹਿਹੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
ko-ay na rahihai raajaa raanaa. ||1||
Nobody, whether a king or a chief, will stay in this world forever. ||1||
ਕੋਈ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਮੀਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣਾ ॥੧॥
