ਧਨ ਅੰਧੀ ਪਿਰੁ ਚਪਲੁ ਸਿਆਨਾ ॥
Dhan anDhee pir chapal si-aanaa.
The bride (the body) is blinded by the love for materialism, the husband (soul) is wise and clever,
ਕਾਇਆਂ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪਤੀ ਚੰਚਲ ਤੇ ਅਕਲਮੰਦ ਹੈ,
ਪੰਚ ਤਤੁ ਕਾ ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਨਾ ॥
panch tat kaa rachan rachaanaa.
but the soul is fully involved with the worldly play created from the five elements.
ਪਰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਹੀ ਖੇਡ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸੁ ਵਖਰ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਆਏ ਹਹੁ ਸੋ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੬॥
Jis vakhar kau tum aaye hh so paayeo satguru pasa hey
O’ brother, the merchandise (wealth of Naam) for which you have come into this world, is received only from the true Guru. ||6||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ, ਜਿਸ (ਨਾਮ-) ਪਦਾਰਥ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹੋ, ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਧਨ ਕਹੈ ਤੂ ਵਸੁ ਮੈ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
Dhan kahai too vas mai naalay.
The bride (body) says to the husband (soul): please stay with me.
ਕਾਇਆਂ (ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ) ਆਖਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ- ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਸੁਖਵਾਸੀ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲੇ ॥
pari-a sukhvaasee baal gupaalay.
O my beloved bliss-giving youthful husband,
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ-ਰਹਿਣੇ ਲਾਡੁਲੇ ਪਤੀ!
ਤੁਝੈ ਬਿਨਾ ਹਉ ਕਿਤ ਹੀ ਨ ਲੇਖੈ ਵਚਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਜਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੭॥
tujhai binaa ha-o kit hee na laykhai vachan deh chhod na jaasaa hay. ||7||
Without you, I have no status, promise me that you will not leave me. ||7||
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। (ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ) ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੭॥
ਪਿਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਹਉ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਬੰਦਾ ॥
pir kahi-aa ha-o hukmee bandaa.
The husband (soul) replied that I am under obligation to obey my Master-God.
ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ-ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ-ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ) ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹਾਂ ।
ਓਹੁ ਭਾਰੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਾਣਿ ਨ ਛੰਦਾ ॥
oh bhaaro thaakur jis kaan na chhandaa.
He is a great Master and is fearless and independent.
ਉਹ ਬੜਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਜਿਚਰੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਤਿਚਰੁ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹਣਾ ਜਾ ਸਦੇ ਤ ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੮॥
jichar raakhai tichar tum sang rahnaa jaa saday ta ooth siDhaasaa hay. ||8||
I can only stay with you as long as God keeps me here; I will leave when He summons me. ||8||
ਜਿਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਜਦੋਂ ਸੱਦੇਗਾ, ਤਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੮॥
ਜਉ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ ਧਨ ਸਾਚੇ ॥
ja-o pari-a bachan kahay Dhan saachay.
When the beloved (soul) speaks the words of truth to the bride, (body)
ਜਦੋਂ ਭੀ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਇਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਬਚਨ ਕਾਇਆਂ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਧਨ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਸਮਝੈ ਚੰਚਲਿ ਕਾਚੇ ॥
Dhan kachhoo na samjhai chanchal kaachay.
The shallow minded and restless bride (body), does not understand them.
ਉਹ ਚੰਚਲ ਤੇ ਅਕਲ ਦੀ ਕੱਚੀ ਕੁਝ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੀ।
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਿਰ ਹੀ ਸੰਗੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਓਹੁ ਬਾਤ ਜਾਨੈ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੯॥
bahur bahur pir hee sang maagai oh baat jaanai kar haasaa hay. ||9||
The body repeatedily asks soul to stay, but the soul takes it like a joke.||9||
ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਸਮਝ ਛੱਡਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
ਆਈ ਆਗਿਆ ਪਿਰਹੁ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥
aa-ee aagi-aa pirahu bulaa-i-aa.
God’s order arrives for the husband (soul) to come.
ਜਦੋਂ ਪਤੀ-ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸੱਦਾ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾ ਧਨ ਪੁਛੀ ਨ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ ॥
naa Dhan puchhee na mataa pakaa-i-aa.
The soul does not ask the body nor does he consult with her.
ਜੀਵਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਕਾਇਆਂ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਇਓ ਛੂਟਰਿ ਮਾਟੀ ਦੇਖੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਥਨ ਮੋਹਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੦॥
ooth siDhaa-i-o chhootar maatee daykh naanak mithan mohaasaa hay. ||10||
The soul departs leaving the bride (body) to mingle with the dust. O Nanak, this is the illusion of worldly attachments. ||10||
ਉਹ ਕਾਇਆਂ-ਮਿੱਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੁੱਟੜ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਵੇਖ, ਇਹ ਹੈ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥੧੦॥
ਰੇ ਮਨ ਲੋਭੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
ray man lobhee sun man mayray.
O my greedy mind, listen to me!
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਭੀ ਮਨ! (ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ) ਸੁਣ!
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਸਦੇਰੇ ॥
satgur sayv din raat sadayray.
Always follow the teachings of the true Guru.
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਚਿ ਮੂਏ ਸਾਕਤ ਨਿਗੁਰੇ ਗਲਿ ਜਮ ਫਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੧॥
bin satgur pach moo-ay saakat niguray gal jam faasaa hay. ||11||
Without the Guru’s teachings, the faithless cynics suffer spiritual demise; those who have no Guru, always live in the fear of death.||11||
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਕਤ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ) ਸੜ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਿਗੁਰੇ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਮਰਾਜ ਦਾ (ਇਹ) ਫਾਹਾ ਪਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧॥
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਆਵੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
manmukh aavai manmukh jaavai.
A self-willed person remains in the cycle of birth and death.
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਵੈ ॥
manmukh fir fir chotaa khaavai.
A self willed person endures the pain of birth and death again and again.
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਗੇੜ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਟਾਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਤਨੇ ਨਰਕ ਸੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਭੋਗੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲੇਪੁ ਨ ਮਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੨॥
jitnay narak say manmukh bhogai gurmukh layp na maasaa hay. ||12||
The self-willed person endures the all pains like going through hell, but the Guru’s follower is not even touched by an iota of such suffering.||12||
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਨਰਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਤਾ ਭੀ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ॥੧੨॥
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੋਇ ਜਿ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਇਆ ॥
gurmukh so-ay je har jee-o bhaa-i-aa.
That person alone is the Guru’s follower, who is pleasing to God.
ਉਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਜਾਣੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਕਉਣੁ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪਹਿਰਾਇਆ ॥
tis ka-un mitaavai je parabh pehraa-i-aa.
Who can erase that one’s glory, upon whom God has bestowed honor?
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਸੋਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਕਰੇ ਆਨੰਦੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਪਾਉ ਪਇਆ ਗਲਿ ਖਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥
sadaa anand karay aanandee jis sirpaa-o pa-i-aa gal khaasaa hay. ||13||
One whom God has blessed with special honor, always enjoys spiritual bliss by remaining absorbed in the blissful God’s immaculate Name. ||13||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਸਿਰੋਪਾਉ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਆਨੰਦ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੩॥
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
ha-o balihaaree satgur pooray.
I dedicate myself to the perfect true Guru,
ਮੈਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਸਰਣਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਬਚਨ ਕੇ ਸੂਰੇ ॥
saran kay daatay bachan kay sooray.
who is the giver of refuge and brave to keep his word.
ਜੋ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਚਨ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਨ ਕਤ ਹੀ ਜਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੪॥
aisaa parabh mili-aa sukh-daata vichhurh na kat hee jaasaa hay. ||14||
(Through the Guru’s grace), I have realized God, the giver of inner peace, forsaking Him, I will not go anywhere. ||14||
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ॥੧੪॥
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥
gun niDhaan kichh keem na paa-ee.
O’ God! the treasure of virtues, I cannot estimate your worth.
ਹੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ॥
ghat ghat poor rahi-o sabh thaa-ee.
You are perfect and present in every heart and every place.
ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਹਉ ਰੇਣ ਤੇਰੇ ਜੋ ਦਾਸਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥੧॥੨॥
naanak saran deen dukh bhanjan ha-o rayn tayray jo daasaa hay. ||15||1||2||
O’ Nanak! say, O’ God, the destroyer of the pain of the meek, bestow mercy that I may remain humble like the dust of the feet of your devotees. ||15||1||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ) ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਹਨ ॥੧੫॥੧॥੨॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰੈ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਅਨੰਦੀ ਮੇਰਾ ॥
karai anand anandee mayraa.
My bliss giving God is forever in bliss.
ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਪੂਰਨੁ ਸਿਰ ਸਿਰਹਿ ਨਿਬੇਰਾ ॥
ghat ghat pooran sir sireh nibayraa.
God is pervading in each and every heart and decides each one’s destiny according to his deeds.
ਹਰੇਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ। ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਕੈ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋ ਦੂਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
sir saahaa kai sachaa saahib avar naahee ko doojaa hay. ||1||
The eternal God is above all the kings of the kings, there is no one else equal to Him. ||1||
(ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ) ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਖਵੰਤ ਆਨੰਤ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
harakhvant aanant da-i-aalaa.
The infinite-God is the Master of all pleasures and is merciful
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਰਬ ਉਜਾਲਾ ॥
pargat rahi-o parabh sarab ujaalaa.
God is manifest everywhere, and He is spiritually enlightening everyone.
ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸਭਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਦਾ) ਚਾਨਣ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਰੂਪ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
roop karay kar vaykhai vigsai aapay hee aap poojaa hay. ||2||
Creating different forms of life, He Himself takes care of all and feels delighted; He is worshipping Himself by pervading in all. ||2||
ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਬਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ (ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, (ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ) ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਆਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥
aapay kudrat karay veechaaraa.
God Himself creates His creation and Himself thinks about and takes care of it.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਕਰੇ ਪਸਾਰਾ ॥
aapay hee sach karay pasaaraa.
On His own, the eternal God is creating the expanse of this world.
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ-ਖਿਲਾਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਖੇਲ ਖਿਲਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਭੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੩॥
aapay khayl khilaavai din raatee aapay sun sun bheejaa hay. ||3||
He Himself makes the beings always play (the game of life), and Himself feels delighted listening to them. ||3||
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖਿਡਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈਆਂ) ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਸਾਚਾ ਤਖਤੁ ਸਚੀ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ॥
saachaa takhat sachee paatisaahee.
Eternal is the throne and eternal is the kingdom of the eternal God.
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਚੁ ਖਜੀਨਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹੀ ॥
sach khajeenaa saachaa saahee.
Everlasting is God’s treasure of Naam and He Himself is its eternal Master.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਹਨਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ,ਉਸ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
