ਆਪੇ ਸੂਰਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਚਲਾਇਆ ॥
aapay sooraa amar chalaa-i-aa.
Being extremely brave, God Himself is exercising His command.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਹੁਕਮ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਸਿਵ ਵਰਤਾਈਅਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਠਾਰੁ ਗੜਾ ॥੧੩॥
aapay siv vartaa-ee-an antar aapay seetal thaar garhaa. ||13||
God Himself infuses peace and tranquility within the beings, because He Himself is cool and calm. ||13||
(ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ) ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵਰਤਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੜੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀਤਲ ਠੰਢਾ-ਠਾਰ ਹੈ ॥੧੩॥
ਜਿਸਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਜੇ ॥
jisahi nivaajay gurmukh saajay.
One upon whom God bestows mercy, He embellishes him through the Guru.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਜ-ਸਵਾਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ॥
naam vasai tis anhad vaajay.
Naam comes to abide within him and he feels as if a non-stop melody of divine music starts playing within him.
ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਠਕੁਰਾਈ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਾ ॥੧੪॥
tis hee sukh tis hee thakuraa-ee tiseh na aavai jam nayrhaa. ||14||
This person alone enjoys inner peace, he alone becomes honorable and the fear of death does not come near him.||14||
ਉਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਰਦਾਰੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਮਰਾਜ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦਾ ॥੧੪॥
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਾਗਦ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
keemat kaagad kahee na jaa-ee.
The worth of God’s virtues cannot be described by writing on papers.
ਕਾਗ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਉਤੇ (ਲਿਖ ਕੇ) ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥
kaho naanak bay-ant gusaa-ee.
O’ Nanak! say that the Master-God of the universe is infinite.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖ-ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ।
ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ਹਾਥਿ ਤਿਸੈ ਕੈ ਨੇਬੇੜਾ ॥੧੫॥
aad maDh ant parabh so-ee haath tisai kai naybayrhaa. ||15||
God existed in the beginning, is present now and will be there in the end; the judgement about the deeds of all the beings lies with God. ||15||
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਸੀ, ਹੁਣ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਹੀ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
ਤਿਸਹਿ ਸਰੀਕੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਰੇ ਕੋਈ ॥
tiseh sareek naahee ray ko-ee.
O’ brother, there is no one who is rival (equal) to God,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ,
ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਬੁਤੈ ਜਬਾਬੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
kis hee butai jabaab na ho-ee.
no one can disobey Him in any way.
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਚੋਜ ਖੜਾ ॥੧੬॥੧॥੧੦॥
naanak kaa parabh aapay aapay kar kar vaykhai choj kharhaa. ||16||1||10||
Nanak’s God is all by Himself; standing aloof, He Himself is watching the wondrous plays created by Him. ||16||1||10||

O’ God! You are indestructible, transcendent, supreme and omniscient.
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਤੂੰ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਹੈਂ।
ਮਧੁਸੂਦਨ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥

O’ the Master-God, You are also known as Madhusudhan, Dhamodhar,
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮਧੁਸੂਦਨ ਤੇ ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ।
ਰਿਖੀਕੇਸ ਗੋਵਰਧਨ ਧਾਰੀ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਾ ॥੧॥
rikheekays govarDhan Dhaaree murlee manohar har rangaa. ||1||
O’ God! You are also called Rikhikesh, Govardhan and Murlee Manohar, the fascinating player of the flute and performer of numerous worldly plays.||1||
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਰਿਖੀਕੇਸ਼ ਗੋਵਰਧਨਧਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਮੁਰਲੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰੰਗ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥
ਮੋਹਨ ਮਾਧਵ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ੍ਨ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥
mohan maaDhav krisan muraaray.
O’ God, You are also known as Mohan (captivator of hearts), Madhav (husband of goddess Lakshmi), Lord Krishna and Murari.
(ਹੇ ਹਰੀ!) ਮੋਹਨ, ਮਾਧਵ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ, ਮੁਰਾਰੀ,
ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਅਸੁਰ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥
jagdeesur har jee-o asur sanghaaray.
O’ God! You are the Master of the universe, and slayer of demons.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਦੈਂਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ।
ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਵਾਸੀ ਹੈ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੨॥
jagjeevan abhinaasee thaakur ghat ghat vaasee hai sangaa. ||2||
O’ God, the life of the world and the eternal Master! You are pervading each and every heart and are always with all of them.||2||
ਹੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ! ਹੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੨॥
ਧਰਣੀਧਰ ਈਸ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ॥
DharneeDhar ees narsingh naaraa-in.
O’ God, the support of earth, You are mythical Narsingh (half man and half lion), and You Yourself are lord Vishnu.
ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ! ਹੇ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਨਰਸਿੰਘ ਅਵਤਾਰ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ ।
ਦਾੜਾ ਅਗ੍ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮਿ ਧਰਾਇਣ ॥
daarhaa agray paritham Dharaa-in.
You are the mythical incarnation who assumed the role of boar and lifted the earth on Your front teeth to save it from demons.
(ਵਰਾਹ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦਾੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ।
ਬਾਵਨ ਰੂਪੁ ਕੀਆ ਤੁਧੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਸੇਤੀ ਹੈ ਚੰਗਾ ॥੩॥
baavan roop kee-aa tuDh kartay sabh hee saytee hai changa. ||3||
O’ the Creator-God, it is You who assumed the form of a pygmy (to trick the king Ball); You abide with all, yet You are the most sublime.||3||
ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! (ਰਾਜਾ ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਛਲਣ ਲਈ) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵਾਮਨ-ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਚੰਦ ਜਿਸੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰੇਖਿਆ ॥
saree raamchand jis roop na raykh-i-aa.
O’ God, You have no form and feature, but Siri Ram Chandra was Your incarnation.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਚੰਦਰ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਰੇਖ।
ਬਨਵਾਲੀ ਚਕ੍ਰਪਾਣਿ ਦਰਸਿ ਅਨੂਪਿਆ ॥
banvaalee chakarpaan daras anoopi-aa.
You are the Master of this garden-like universe, and You are lord Krishna of unparalleled beauty who had the Sudarshan Chakra in his hand.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਰੂਪੀ ਬਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ-ਚੱਕ੍ਰ-ਧਾਰੀ। ਤੂੰ ਬੇ-ਮਿਸਾਲ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਸਹਸ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੈ ਸਹਸਾ ਇਕੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭ ਹੈ ਮੰਗਾ ॥੪॥
sahas naytar moorat hai sahsaa ik daataa sabh hai mangaa. ||4||
(Being pervading in all), You have thousands of eyes, and thousands of forms, You alone are the benefactor and all others are beggars before You.||4||
ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਨੇਤਰ ਹਨ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਮੰਗਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਅਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥੇ ॥
bhagat vachhal anaathah naathay.
O’ the Supporter of the supportless, You are the lover of the devotional worship.
ਹੇ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਤੂੰ ਭਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਗੋਪੀ ਨਾਥੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਸਾਥੇ ॥
gopee naath sagal hai saathay.
O’ the Master of Gopis (the milk maids), You abide with all the beings.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਗੋਪੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਥ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਬਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦਾਤੇ ਬਰਨਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਉ ਗੁਣ ਅੰਗਾ ॥੫॥
baasudayv niranjan daatay baran na saaka-o gun angaa. ||5||
O’ the all pervading God! O’ the immaculate benefactor! I cannot describe even a little bit of Your countless virtues.||5||
ਹੇ ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ! ਹੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਭੋਰਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੫॥
ਮੁਕੰਦ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਲਖਮੀ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ॥
mukand manohar lakhmee naaraa-in.
O’ Mukand (emancipator), O’ Manohar (captivator), and Narayan (husband of Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth),
ਹੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾਤੇ! ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ!
ਦ੍ਰੋਪਤੀ ਲਜਾ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਉਧਾਰਣ ॥
daropatee lajaa nivaar uDhaaran.
O’ the Savior of the honor of Daropti,
ਹੇ ਦ੍ਰੋਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ!
ਕਮਲਾਕੰਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਕੰਤੂਹਲ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦੀ ਨਿਹਸੰਗਾ ॥੬॥
kamlaakant karahi kantoohal anad binodee nihsangaa. ||6||
O’ the husband of Kamala (the goddess of wealth), You perform many wondrous deeds; You rejoice all pleasures, but remain detached from everything.||6||
ਹੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ! ਤੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕੌਤਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਭੀ ਹੈਂ ॥੬॥
ਅਮੋਘ ਦਰਸਨ ਆਜੂਨੀ ਸੰਭਉ ॥
amogh darsan aajoonee sambha-o.
O’ God, Your blessed vision is fruitful, You do not go through reincarnation, You are self revealed.
ਹੇ ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹ ਉੱਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਜੂਨਾਂ-ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਖਉ ॥
akaal moorat jis kaday naahee kha-o.
You are independent of time (death), and You never get destroyed,
ਹੇ ਮੌਤ-ਰਹਿਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ (ਅਜਿਹੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ!
ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਬਿਗਤ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਲਗਾ ॥੭॥
abhinaasee abigat agochar sabh kichh tujh hee hai lagaa. ||7||
O’ the imperishable, invisible, and incomprehensible God, everything in the world survives on Your support.||7||
ਹੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ! ਹੇ ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ! ਹੇ ਅਗੋਚਰ! (ਜਗਤ ਦੀ) ਹਰੇਕ ਸ਼ੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਆਸਰੇ ਹੈ ॥੭॥
ਸ੍ਰੀਰੰਗ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਕੇ ਵਾਸੀ ॥
sareerang baikunth kay vaasee.
O’ Siri Ranga (Vishnu, the husband of Lakshmi), the resident of paradise,
ਹੇ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ! ਹੇ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ!
ਮਛੁ ਕਛੁ ਕੂਰਮੁ ਆਗਿਆ ਅਉਤਰਾਸੀ ॥
machh kachh kooram aagi-aa a-utraasee.
The fish and the tortoise were incarnated by Your command.
ਮੱਛ ਤੇ ਕੱਛੂਕੁੰਮਾ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਕੇਸਵ ਚਲਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਲੋੜਹਿ ਸੋ ਹੋਇਗਾ ॥੮॥
kaysav chalat karahi niraalay keetaa lorheh so ho-igaa. ||8||
O’ God of beautifull hair, You always do wondrous deeds; whatever You wish to do, that comes to pass for sure. ||8||
ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ! ਤੂੰ (ਸਦਾ) ਅਨੋਖੇ ਕੌਤਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਉਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥
ਨਿਰਾਹਾਰੀ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥
niraahaaree nirvair samaa-i-aa.
O’ God, You need no food for Your survival, You are without enmity, and You are all-pervading.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਅੰਨ ਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ।
ਧਾਰਿ ਖੇਲੁ ਚਤੁਰਭੁਜੁ ਕਹਾਇਆ ॥
Dhaar khayl chaturbhuj kahaa-i-aa.
By establishing the play of creation of the world, You have been called Brahma, the god with four arms.
ਇਹ ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਡ ਰਚ ਕੇ (ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਅਖਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਾਵਲ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੂਪ ਬਣਾਵਹਿ ਬੇਣੁ ਸੁਨਤ ਸਭ ਮੋਹੈਗਾ ॥੯॥
saaval sundar roop banaaveh bayn sunat sabh mohaigaa. ||9||
You keep assuming dark handsome figures like lord Krishna, listening to whose flute, the entire world gets fascinated.||9||
(ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਰਗੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਾਂਵਲੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਰੂਪ ਤੂੰ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰੀ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਮੋਹੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੯॥
ਬਨਮਾਲਾ ਬਿਭੂਖਨ ਕਮਲ ਨੈਨ ॥

O’ God, all the vegetation is like Your ornaments; Your eyes are like lotus,
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਕੌਲ-ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ!,
ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੁੰਡਲ ਮੁਕਟ ਬੈਨ ॥
sundar kundal mukat bain.
You wear a crown over Your beautiful curly hair and hold a flute.
ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਹਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਲ, ਤਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਰਲੀ।
ਸੰਖ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਧਾਰੀ ਮਹਾ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਸਤਸੰਗਾ ॥੧੦॥
sankh chakar gadaa hai Dhaaree mahaa saarthee satsangaa. ||10||
You carry a conch, a Chakra (steel disc), and Gada (heavy club); You have been a great charioteer and companion of Arjuna (hero of epic Mahabharata). ||10||
ਤੂੰ ਸੰਖ, ਚਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਜ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਤੂੰ ਭਾਰਾ ਰਥਬਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹੈ।॥੧੦॥
ਪੀਤ ਪੀਤੰਬਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਧਣੀ ॥
peet peetambar taribhavan Dhanee.
O’ the yellow robed Master of all the three worlds,
ਹੇ ਪੀਲੇ ਬਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ!
ਜਗੰਨਾਥੁ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਭਣੀ ॥
jagannaath gopaal mukh bhanee.
O’ Master and sustainer of the universe, I recite Your Name with my mouth.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਥ ਹੈਂ, ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ (ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ) ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਸਾਰਿੰਗਧਰ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਬੀਠੁਲਾ ਮੈ ਗਣਤ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਸਰਬੰਗਾ ॥੧੧॥
saaringDhar bhagvaan beethulaa mai ganat na aavai sarbangaa. ||11||
O’ God, O’ Beethal (unaffected by Maya), I cannot count all Your virtues. ||11||
ਹੇ ਧਨੁਖ-ਧਾਰੀ! ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਹੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਮੈਥੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੧੧॥
ਨਿਹਕੰਟਕੁ ਨਿਹਕੇਵਲੁ ਕਹੀਐ ॥
nihkantak nihkayval kahee-ai.
God is said to be free from anguish and desires.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਸਨਾ-ਰਹਿਤ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ|
ਧਨੰਜੈ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਹੈ ਮਹੀਐ ॥
Dhananjai jal thal hai mahee-ai.
He is the conqueror of riches of the entire world, and is pervading in water, land and everywhere.
ਉਹੀ (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਧਨੰਜੈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਜਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ਥਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਹੈ।
