ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਧਨ ਟਿਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੰਤਾਏ ॥
maa-i-aa banDhan tikai naahee khin khin dukh santaa-ay.
Because of the bonds of Maya, the mind does not remain stable and suffers the mental torture at every moment.
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ (ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ) ਟਿਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਤਦੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਜਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥੩॥
naanak maa-i-aa kaa dukh taday chookai jaa gur sabdee chit laa-ay. ||3||
O’ Nanak, the distress of worldly attachments is dispelled only when one fixes the mind on Guru’s word.||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਦੁੱਖ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਮੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਗਾਵਾਰੁ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਨਿ ਨ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
manmukh mugaDh gaavaar piraa jee-o sabad man na vasaa-ay.
O’ my dear, the self-willed person is foolish and crazy, he does not enshrine the Guru’s word in his mind.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੂਰਖ ਤੇ ਉਜੱਡ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ।
ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਪਿਰਾ ਜੀਉ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਏ ॥
maa-i-aa kaa bharam anDh piraa jee-o har maarag ki-o paa-ay.
O my dear, the love of Maya makes him spiritually blind, how can he find the way to unite with God?
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਦਾ ਚੱਕਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ ਵਲੋਂ) ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਕਿਉ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪਾਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਏ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਏ ॥
ki-o maarag paa-ay bin satgur bhaa-ay manmukh aap ganaa-ay.
Yes, without following the teachings of the True Guru, this self-willed person cannot find the way to unite with God as he always displays himself as better than others?
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਚਾਕਰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
har kay chaakar sadaa suhaylay gur charnee chit laa-ay.
By focusing their consciousness on Guru’s teachings, the humble devotees of God are forever in peace.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ-ਭਗਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
jis no har jee-o karay kirpaa sadaa har kay gun gaa-ay.
The one on whom God bestows his mercy always sings praises of God.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਦਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਜਗਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ॥੪॥੫॥੭॥
naanak naam ratan jag laahaa gurmukh aap bujhaa-ay. ||4||5||7||
O’ Nanak, in this world the invaluable Naam is the real wealth and God Himself imparts this understanding through the Guru . ||4||5||7||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਅਸਲ) ਖੱਟੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਬੈਰਾਗੁ ਭਇਆ ਜੀਉ ਕਿਉ ਦੇਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ॥
mayrai man bairaag bha-i-aa jee-o ki-o daykhaa parabh daatay.
O’ my benefactor God, my mind is yearning to see Your sight. Please tell me, how can I behold You?
ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ! ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਹਲੀ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, (ਦੱਸ) ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵੇਖਾਂ?
ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ਸਖਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ॥
mayray meet sakhaa har jee-o gur purakh biDhaatay.
O’ my friend, mate, all-pervading God,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਥੀ! ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ! ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ! ਹੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਜੀਉ!
ਪੁਰਖੋ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਸ੍ਰੀਧਰੁ ਕਿਉ ਮਿਲਹ ਤੁਝੈ ਉਡੀਣੀਆ ॥
purkho biDhaataa ayk sareeDhar ki-o milah tujhai udeenee-aa.
O’ the supreme Creator and Master of wealth, being separated from You, we are feeling desperate; how can we meet You?
ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਲੱਛਮੀ-ਪਤੀ ਹੈਂ (ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਕੇ) ਅਸੀਂ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਾਂ, (ਦੱਸ,) ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲੀਏ?
ਕਰ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੀਸੁ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ਦਰਸ ਨਿਮਾਣੀਆ ॥
kar karahi sayvaa sees charnee man aas daras nimaanee-aa.
Those humble soul-brides who perform the selfless service, follow the Guru’s teachings and yearn for the blessed vision of God.
ਜੇਹੜੀਆਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਮਾਣ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਧਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ,
ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨ ਘੜੀ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਪਲੁ ਮੂਰਤੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੇ ॥
saas saas na gharhee visrai pal moorat din raatay.
Day or night, they never forget You even for a single breath, instant, or moment.
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ (ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਵੇਲੇ) ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਭਰ, ਇਕ ਪਲ ਭਰ, ਇਕ ਮੁਹੂਰਤ ਭਰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਰਿੰਗ ਜਿਉ ਪਿਆਸੇ ਕਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥
naanak saaring ji-o pi-aasay ki-o milee-ai parabh daatay. ||1||
O’ Nanak, without God we are thirsty like the rainbird; how can we realize God, the Great Giver? ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਤਿਹਾਏ ਪਪੀਹੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੜਪ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, (ਦੱਸ) ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲੀਏ?
ਇਕ ਬਿਨਉ ਕਰਉ ਜੀਉ ਸੁਣਿ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
ik bin-o kara-o jee-o sun kant pi-aaray.
O’ my beloved Husband-God, I offer this one prayer, please listen to it.
ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਕੰਤ ਜੀਉ! ਸੁਣ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਲੀਆ ਜੀਉ ਦੇਖਿ ਚਲਤ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ॥
mayraa man tan mohi lee-aa jee-o daykh chalat tumaaray.
My mind and body has been enticed beholding Your wondrous play.
ਤੇਰੇ ਕੌਤਕ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਠੱਗੀ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ।
ਚਲਤਾ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਦੇਖਿ ਮੋਹੀ ਉਦਾਸ ਧਨ ਕਿਉ ਧੀਰਏ ॥
chaltaa tumaaray daykh mohee udaas Dhan ki-o Dheer-ay.
Yes, beholding Your wondrous play I am enticed; but how can such a soul-bride be content without union with You?
ਤੇਰੇ ਕੌਤਕ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਠੱਗੀ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਤਕ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਧੀਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
ਗੁਣਵੰਤ ਨਾਹ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਬਾਲਾ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣ ਭਰਪੂਰਏ ॥
gunvant naah da-i-aal baalaa sarab gun bharpoor-ay.
O’ my merciful, youthful Groom, You are overflowing with all the virtues.
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਖਸਮ! ਤੂੰ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ-ਜਵਾਨ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈਂ।
ਪਿਰ ਦੋਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਖਹ ਦਾਤੇ ਹਉ ਵਿਛੁੜੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਰੇ ॥
pir dos naahee sukhah daatay ha-o vichhurhee buri-aaray.
O’ my Husband-God, the Giver of all comforts, the fault is not with You; I have been separated from You because of my own evil deeds.
ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਪਤੀ! (ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ) ਦੋਸ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਮੰਦ-ਕਰਮਣ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਾਂ।
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਘਰਿ ਆਵਹੁ ਨਾਹ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੨॥
binvant naanak da-i-aa Dhaarahu ghar aavhu naah pi-aaray. ||2||
O’ Nanak, the soul-bride prays, O’ my beloved husband-God, please bestow mercy and come to dwell in my heart. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪਤੀ! ਇਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸ l
ਹਉ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਸਭੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਅਰਪੀ ਸਭਿ ਦੇਸਾ ॥
ha-o man arpee sabh tan arpee arpee sabh daysaa.
I will surrender my mind, I will surrender my entire body and I will surrender all my sensory organs.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ, ਸਰੀਰ (ਹਿਰਦਾ) ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ, (ਇਹ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ) ਵਾਰਨੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ,
ਹਉ ਸਿਰੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਇ ਸਦੇਸਾ ॥
ha-o sir arpee tis meet pi-aaray jo parabh day-ay sadaysaa.
Yes, I will offer my head (ego) to that dear friend who will give me the message of my Groom-God.
ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂ, ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਦੇਵੇ।
ਅਰਪਿਆ ਤ ਸੀਸੁ ਸੁਥਾਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥
arpi-aa ta sees suthaan gur peh sang parabhoo dikhaa-i-aa.
I totally surrendered myself to the Guru in the holy congregation and he made me realize God dwelling in my heart.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ;
ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੂਖੁ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਮਨਹੁ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
khin maahi saglaa dookh miti-aa manhu chindi-aa paa-i-aa.
In an instant all my sorrow was erased and my heart’s desire was fulfilled.
ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਕਰੈ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ॥
din rain ralee-aa karai kaaman mitay sagal andaysaa.
All the worries and anxieties of the soul-bride are erased and she is always enjoying the bliss.
ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕੰਤੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਲੋੜਤੇ ਹਮ ਜੈਸਾ ॥੩॥
binvant naanak kant mili-aa lorh-tay ham jaisaa. ||3||
Nanak prays that I have found the groom-God whom I was searching for.||3||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਨਸ਼ਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਜੀਉ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥
mayrai man anad bha-i-aa jee-o vajee vaaDhaa-ee.
My mind is filled with bliss and congratulations are pouring in.
ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦਾ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਘਰਿ ਲਾਲੁ ਆਇਆ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਭ ਤਿਖਾ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥
ghar laal aa-i-aa pi-aaraa sabh tikhaa bujhaa-ee.
I have realized beloved-God in my heart and all my desires ha been satisfied.
ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਤੀ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ,ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮਿਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤ ਲਾਲੁ ਗੁਪਾਲੁ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਖੀ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
mili-aa ta laal gupaal thaakur sakhee mangal gaa-i-aa.
Since I have met my dear God and Master of the Universe, my companions sing the songs of Joy
ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ) ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਭ ਮੀਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਹਰਖੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਦੂਤ ਥਾਉ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
sabh meet banDhap harakh upji-aa doot thaa-o gavaa-i-aa.
All my friends and relatives are delighted and all traces of my enemies (vices) have been eradicated.
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਕ-ਸੈਨ (ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ) ਅਨੰਦ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਤਕ ਮਿਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਹਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਹਿ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਪਿਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੇਜ ਵਿਛਾਈ ॥
anhat vaajay vajeh ghar meh pir sang sayj vichhaa-ee.
Non stop divine melodies are playing in my heart and I am enjoying the intimate company of my husband-God.
ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਜਾਏ ਵਾਜੇ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਜ ਵਿਛਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ,l
ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਰਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਕੰਤੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥
binvant naanak sahj rahai har mili-aa kant sukh-daa-ee. ||4||1||
Nanak humbly submits that the soul bride who has realized peace giving God as her groom remains in equipoise. ||4||1||
ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ l
