ਆਦੇਸੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥
aadays tisai aadays.
Humbly bow to Divine,
ਉਸ (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰੋ,
ਆਦਿ ਅਨੀਲੁ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਹਤਿ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਏਕੋ ਵੇਸੁ ॥੨੯॥
aad aneel anaad anaahat jug jug ayko vays. ||29||
who is the primal, immaculate, without beginning, indestructible and unchanging through the ages.
ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੁੱਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਢ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜੋ ਨਾਸ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਏਕਾ ਮਾਈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਿਆਈ ਤਿਨਿ ਚੇਲੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
aykaa maa-ee jugat vi-aa-ee tin chaylay parvaan.
According to mythological Hindu beliefs, Maya mysteriously conceived and gave birth to three sons (deities).
ਇਕੱਲੀ ਮਾਇਆ (ਕਿਸੇ) ਜੁਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੂਤ ਹੋਈ ਤੇ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੰਮ ਪਏ।.
ਇਕੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਇਕੁ ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ਇਕੁ ਲਾਏ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥
ik sansaaree ik bhandaaree ik laa-ay deebaan.
One is believed to be the creator of the world, one the sustainer and another one the destroyer.
ਇਕ ਜੀਵ-ਜੰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਇਕ ਭੰਡਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਘਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ l
ਜਿਵ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਚਲਾਵੈ ਜਿਵ ਹੋਵੈ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥
jiv tis bhaavai tivai chalaavai jiv hovai furmaan.
Divine directs our path as He wills; everything that happens is according to His divine command.
ਪਰ ਅਸਲ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਚਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ l
ਓਹੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਓਨਾ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਏਹੁ ਵਿਡਾਣੁ ॥
oh vaykhai onaa nadar na aavai bahutaa ayhu vidaan.
Divine is everywhere and is constantly observing everything, yet most people are unable to perceive Him
ਇਹ ਬੜਾ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਕੌਤਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ।
ਆਦੇਸੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥
aadays tisai aadays.

ਆਸਣੁ ਲੋਇ ਲੋਇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥
aasan lo-ay lo-ay bhandaar.
Divine is present in the entire universe and the universe is full of His bounties.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ,ਹਰੇਕ ਭਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭੰਡਾਰੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੁ ਏਕਾ ਵਾਰ ॥
jo kichh paa-i-aa so aykaa vaar.
Whatever bounties He has put in the universe, He has put these once for all.
ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਭੰਡਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਇਕੋ ਵਾਰੀ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
kar kar vaykhai sirjanhaar.
Having created the universe, Divine is looking after His creation.
ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਕਾਰ ॥
naanak sachay kee saachee kaar.
O’ Nanak, Divine’s system of sustaining His creation is perfect and flawless.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਂਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਇਹ ਕਾਰ ਸਦਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈ, ਉਕਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਆਦੇਸੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥
aadays tisai aadays.

ਕੇਵਲ ਉਸ (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰੋ,

who is the source of everything, immaculate, without beginning, indestructible and unchanging through the ages.
ਜੋ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਢ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੁੱਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਢ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜੋ ਨਾਸ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਇਕ ਦੂ ਜੀਭੌ ਲਖ ਹੋਹਿ ਲਖ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਲਖ ਵੀਸ ॥
ik doo jeebhou lakh hohi lakh hoveh lakh vees.
If instead of one tongue, one had hundred thousand tongues and even twenty times more,
ਜੇ ਇੱਕ ਜੀਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੱਖ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਅਤੇ ਲੱਖ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀਹ ਲੱਖ ਬਣ ਜਾਣ,
ਲਖੁ ਲਖੁ ਗੇੜਾ ਆਖੀਅਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥
lakh lakh gayrhaa aakhee-ahi ayk naam jagdees.
and if Divine’s Name is recited millions of times with each tongue.
ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵੀਹ ਲੱਖ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੇ) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਲੱਖ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਖੀਏ
ਏਤੁ ਰਾਹਿ ਪਤਿ ਪਵੜੀਆ ਚੜੀਐ ਹੋਇ ਇਕੀਸ ॥
ayt raahi pat pavrhee-aa charhee-ai ho-ay ikees.
On this path, one climbs the steps to honor, becoming one with the Divine, achieving true union and spiritual elevation.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਿਆਂ ਜੋ ਪਉੜੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਮਿਕ ਹੋ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੁਣਿ ਗਲਾ ਆਕਾਸ ਕੀ ਕੀਟਾ ਆਈ ਰੀਸ ॥
sun galaa aakaas kee keetaa aa-ee rees.
After listening about the spiritually awakened people, the lowly persons wish to emulate them as if the worms wish to fly like birds.
ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੀੜੇ (ਨੀਚ) ਭੀ ਨਕਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਕੂੜੀ ਕੂੜੈ ਠੀਸ ॥੩੨॥
naanak nadree paa-ee-ai koorhee koorhai thees. ||32||
O’ Nanak, Divine is realized only by His grace, all false boasts and worldly pretensions are ultimately worthless.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਝੂਠੀ ਹੀ ਗੱਪ ਹੈ।
ਆਖਣਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਚੁਪੈ ਨਹ ਜੋਰੁ ॥
aakhan jor chupai nah jor.
We do not have any power by ourselves to speak or to remain silent
ਬੋਲਣ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਖ਼ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਮੰਗਣਿ ਦੇਣਿ ਨ ਜੋਰੁ ॥
jor na mangan dayn na jor.
We have neither the power to ask nor to give, we get what is destined for us and the spirit of giving comes by Divine’s blessings.
ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੰਗਣ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਡੀ ਮਨ-ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਿਚ।
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਜੀਵਣਿ ਮਰਣਿ ਨਹ ਜੋਰੁ ॥
jor na jeevan maran nah jor.
Life and death too are not in our control.
ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਮਰਥਾ (ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦੀ)।
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਰਾਜਿ ਮਾਲਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਰੁ ॥
jor na raaj maal man sor.
Acquiring power and worldly wealth, which cause ego in our mind, is beyond our control.
ਜਿਸ ਰਾਜ ਤੇ ਮਾਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਫੂੰ-ਫਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ.
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਗਿਆਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥
jor na surtee gi-aan veechaar.
We have no power to achieve spiritual awakening, knowledge or thinking.
ਆਤਮਾਕ ਜਾਗ ਵਿਚ, ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਜੋਰੁ ਨ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਛੁਟੈ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥
jor na jugtee chhutai sansaar.
We have no power to escape from worldly temptations.
ਉਸ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਇਖ਼ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸੁ ਹਥਿ ਜੋਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
jis hath jor kar vaykhai so-ay.
Divine alone who has the Power to create and take care of creation.
ਉਹੀ ਅਕਾਲ-ਪੁਰਖ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤਮੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੩੩॥
naanak utam neech na ko-ay. ||33||
O’ Nanak, no one is high or low. All are created equal in the eyes of Divine.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਨੀਚ l
ਰਾਤੀ ਰੁਤੀ ਥਿਤੀ ਵਾਰ ॥
raatee rutee thitee vaar.
The nights, seasons, lunar days, week days,
ਰਾਤਾਂ, ਰੁੱਤਾਂ, ਥਿਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਰ,
ਪਵਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਗਨੀ ਪਾਤਾਲ ॥
pavan paanee agnee paataal.
wind, water, fire and the nether regions,
ਹਵਾ, ਪਾਣੀ, ਅੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਾਲ-
ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਥਾਪਿ ਰਖੀ ਧਰਮ ਸਾਲ ॥
tis vich Dhartee thaap rakhee Dharam saal.
In the midst of all these, Divine established the earth as a stage for humans to perform righteous deeds for their spiritual growth.
(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਵਿਚ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੇ) ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਣ ਦਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਟਿਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਰੰਗ ॥
tis vich jee-a jugat kay rang.
On this stage reside beings of various species and forms.
ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਈ ਜੁਗਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵ (ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ),
ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਨੰਤ ॥
tin kay naam anayk anant.
whose names are countless and endless.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਨਗਿਣਤ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਹਨ।
ਕਰਮੀ ਕਰਮੀ ਹੋਇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
karmee karmee ho-ay veechaar.
Human beings are judged based on their deeds.
ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ) ਨਿਬੇੜਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਸਚਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰੁ ॥
sachaa aap sachaa darbaar.
Divine Himself is true, and true is His justice.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਆਪ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸਦਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਭੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਥੈ ਸੋਹਨਿ ਪੰਚ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
tithai sohan panch parvaan.
In that realm, the accepted and spiritually awakened souls shine brightly, radiant with divine grace.
ਉਸ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸੋਭਦੇ ਹਨl
ਨਦਰੀ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਵੈ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥
nadree karam pavai neesaan.
By Divine's grace and glance, one receives the divine mark of acceptance and honor, leading to liberation.
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਚਮਕ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਚ ਪਕਾਈ ਓਥੈ ਪਾਇ ॥
kach pakaa-ee othai paa-ay.
Success or failure in terms of spiritual growth is judged in Divine’s presence.
ਕਚਿਆਈ ਪਕਿਆਈ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮਲੂਮ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਗਇਆ ਜਾਪੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੩੪॥
naanak ga-i-aa jaapai jaa-ay. ||34||
O’ Nanak, it is only upon reaching Divine’s Presence that one discovers if one succeeded or failed.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਦਰ ‘ਤੇ ਗਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਅਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਕੌਣ ਪੱਕਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਕੱਚਾ)
ਧਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕਾ ਏਹੋ ਧਰਮੁ ॥
Dharam khand kaa ayho Dharam.
This is the spiritual law of the Realm of Righteousness, where beings are judged on their actions.
ਧਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਾ ਇਹੀ ਕਰਤੱਬ ਹੈ।
ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਕਾ ਆਖਹੁ ਕਰਮੁ ॥
gi-aan khand kaa aakhhu karam.
Nanak says in Realm of Knowledge, the stage of acquiring divine knowledge
ਹੁਣ ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਦਾ ਕਰਤੱਬ (ਭੀ) ਸਮਝ ਲਵੋ
ਕੇਤੇ ਪਵਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੈਸੰਤਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕਾਨ ਮਹੇਸ ॥
kaytay pavan paanee vaisantar kaytay kaan mahays.
The Divine’s creation is so vast that there are so many forms of winds, waters and fires; so many Divine forms as Krishnas and Shivas.
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਉਣ, ਪਾਣੀ ਤੇ ਅਗਨੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਕਈ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਹਨ l
ਕੇਤੇ ਬਰਮੇ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਅਹਿ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਕੇ ਵੇਸ ॥
kaytay barmay ghaarhat gharhee-ahi roop rang kay vays.
Countless are the Brahmas created in diverse forms, shapes, and appearances, all made by the Divine.
ਕਈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਰੂਪ, ਕਈ ਰੰਗ ਤੇ ਕਈ ਵੇਸ ਹਨ।
ਕੇਤੀਆ ਕਰਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਮੇਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਧੂ ਉਪਦੇਸ ॥
kaytee-aa karam bhoomee mayr kaytay kaytay Dhoo updays.
Countless are the Earths and cosmic mountains; countless are the Dhruvas (devotees) and their spiritual teachings.
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਮੇਰੂ ਪਰਬਤ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਧ੍ਰੂਅ ਭਗਤ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹਨ।
ਕੇਤੇ ਇੰਦ ਚੰਦ ਸੂਰ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਮੰਡਲ ਦੇਸ ॥
kaytay ind chand soor kaytay kaytay mandal days.
Countless are the Indras, moons, suns, and endless are the worlds and universes Divine created.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੂਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਭਵਨ-ਚੱਕਰ ਹਨ।
ਕੇਤੇ ਸਿਧ ਬੁਧ ਨਾਥ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਵੇਸ ॥
kaytay siDh buDh naath kaytay kaytay dayvee vays.
Countless are the spiritually perfected, the enlightened, the yogis, and the divine goddesses, all manifestations of the One.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਿੱਧ ਹਨ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬੁਧ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹਨ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਨਾਥ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਦੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਹਨ।
ਕੇਤੇ ਦੇਵ ਦਾਨਵ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਰਤਨ ਸਮੁੰਦ ॥
kaytay dayv daanav mun kaytay kaytay ratan samund.
Countless are the gods, demons, sages, and countless are the jewels and oceans of those jewels.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ ਹਨ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਮੁਨੀ ਹਨ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਰਤਨ ਤੇ ਰਤਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹਨ।
ਕੇਤੀਆ ਖਾਣੀ ਕੇਤੀਆ ਬਾਣੀ ਕੇਤੇ ਪਾਤ ਨਰਿੰਦ ॥
kaytee-aa khaanee kaytee-aa banee kaytay paat narind.
Countless are the life forms, languages, and countless are the kings and rulers, all created by Divine.
ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਭੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਬਾਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਨ,
ਕੇਤੀਆ ਸੁਰਤੀ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੇਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਅੰਤੁ ॥੩੫॥
kaytee-aa surtee sayvak kaytay naanak ant na ant. ||35||
There are so many people who meditate, so many selfless servants: O’ Nanak, there is no end to the creation of Divine.
ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਜੀਵ ਜੋ ਧਿਆਨ ਲਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕੋਈ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ l
ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਮਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਰਚੰਡੁ ॥
gi-aan khand meh gi-aan parchand.
In the Realm of Knowledge, divine wisdom becomes supreme, overpowering all other worldly thoughts and attachments.
ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਵਿਚ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ) ਗਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਥੈ ਨਾਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਕੋਡ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥
tithai naad binod kod anand.
In that state of divine knowledge, there is pure spiritual music, joy, and the bliss of Divine presence.
ਇਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਭ ਰਾਗਾਂ, ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
