Fifth Guru:
ਘਟਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਚਰਣਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਰਸਨਾ ਜਪੈ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥
ghat vaseh charnaarbind rasnaa japai gupaal.
In whose heart is enshrined the immaculate Name of God, and whose tongue meditates on the Master of the earth.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਜੀਭ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਪਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ਤਿਸੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਕਉ ਪਾਲਿ ॥੨॥
naanak so parabh simree-ai tis dayhee ka-o paal. ||2||
O’ Nanak, nurture that body because of which God is remembered.||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Pauree:
ਆਪੇ ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ॥
aapay athsath tirath kartaa aap karay isnaan.
God Himself is the creator of the sixty-eight places of pilgrimage, and He Himself bathes in them.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਅਠਾਹਠ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਤੇ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਸੰਜਮਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਆਪਿ ਜਪਾਇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
aapay sanjam vartai savaamee aap japaa-ihi naam.
The Master Himself practices self-discipline and He himself makes us meditate on Naam.
ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਭਉ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
aap da-i-aal ho-ay bha-o khandan aap karai sabh daan.
When the destroyer of fear Himself becomes merciful, He Himself bestows gifts on all.
ਭਉ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਸੋ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਪਾਏ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
jis no gurmukh aap bujhaa-ay so sad hee dargahi paa-ay maan.
Through the Guru, whom God Himself blesses with divine knowledge, he always receives honor in His presence.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਸਚਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨੁ ॥੧੪॥
jis dee paij rakhai har su-aamee so sachaa har jaan. ||14||
One whose honor God, the Master, protects is the true devotee of God. ||14||
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਪ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਸਚਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ ॥੧੪॥

Shalok, Third Guru:
ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਜਗੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਹੈ ਅੰਧੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
naanak bin satgur bhaytay jag anDh hai anDhay karam kamaa-ay.
O’ Nanak, without meeting the true Guru and following his teachings, the entire world is spiritually blind and does foolish deeds.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਬਦੈ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਨ ਲਾਵਈ ਜਿਤੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
sabdai si-o chit na laav-ee jit sukh vasai man aa-ay.
It does not focus its consciousness on the Guru’s word, which would bring peace to abide in the mind.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ ਆ ਵੱਸੇ।
ਤਾਮਸਿ ਲਗਾ ਸਦਾ ਫਿਰੈ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਜਲਤੁ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥
taamas lagaa sadaa firai ahinis jalat bihaa-ay.
Always afflicted with the vices (lust, anger,greed, emotional attachment and ego) it wanders around, passing its days and nights burning in agony.
ਤਮੋ ਗੁਣ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਦਾ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਤਮੋ ਗੁਣ ਵਿਚ ਸੜਦਿਆਂ ਲੰਘਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਥੀਐ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
jo tis bhaavai so thee-ai kahnaa kichhoo na jaa-ay. ||1||
Whatever pleases God, comes to pass; no one has any say in this. ||1||
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋਈ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ) ਕੁਝ ਆਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ॥੧॥

Third Guru:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰੀ ਏਹ ਕਰੇਹੁ ॥
satguroo furmaa-i-aa kaaree ayh karayhu.
The true Guru has commanded that to break the illusion do this deed,
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ (ਭਰਮ ਦਾ ਛਉੜ ਕੱਟਣ ਲਈ) ਇਹ ਕਾਰ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਲਾਜ) ਕਰੋ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸੰਮਾਲੇਹੁ ॥
guroo du-aarai ho-ay kai saahib sammaalayhu.
follow the Guru’s teachings and remember God in adoration.
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ), ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ।
ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਹੈ ਭਰਮੈ ਕੇ ਛਉੜ ਕਟਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਧਰੇਹੁ ॥
saahib sadaa hajoor hai bharmai kay chha-urh kat kai antar jot Dharayhu.
Master-God is always with us, removing the veil of doubt between us and God, realize the presence of divine light in the heart.
ਮਾਲਕ ਸਦਾ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਹੈ, (ਅੱਖਾਂ ਅਗੋਂ) ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਜਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਹ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਟਿਕਾਉ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹੈ ਦਾਰੂ ਏਹੁ ਲਾਏਹੁ ॥
har kaa naam amrit hai daaroo ayhu laa-ayhu.
God’s Name is the ambrosial nectar; use it as remedy for all afflictions.
ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਮਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਦਾਰੂ ਵਰਤੋ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਚਿਤਿ ਰਖਹੁ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਸਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ॥
satgur kaa bhaanaa chit rakhahu sanjam sachaa nayhu.
Enshrine the will of the true Guru in your consciousness, and make God’s love your self-discipline.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਭਾਣਾ (ਮੰਨਣਾ) ਚਿਤ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖੋ ਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਵੈ-ਪ੍ਰਹੇਜ਼ ਬਣਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਐਥੈ ਸੁਖੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਰਖਸੀ ਅਗੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੇਹੁ ॥੨॥
naanak aithai sukhai andar rakhsee agai har si-o kayl karayhu. ||2||
O’ Nanak, this medicine of Naam would keep you in peace here and in the next world, you would enjoy spiritual happiness in God’s company ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹ ਦਾਰੂ) ਏਥੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਖੀ ਰਖੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ (ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਹਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਣੋਗੇ ॥੨॥
ਪਉੜੀ ॥

Pauree:
ਆਪੇ ਭਾਰ ਅਠਾਰਹ ਬਣਸਪਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਫਲ ਲਾਏ ॥
aapay bhaar athaarah banaspat aapay hee fal laa-ay.
God Himself is all the eighteen loads of vegetation, and He Himself makes it bear fruit.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਦੇ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਭਾਰ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈ), ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਲ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਮਾਲੀ ਆਪਿ ਸਭੁ ਸਿੰਚੈ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਮੁਹਿ ਪਾਏ ॥
aapay maalee aap sabh sinchai aapay hee muhi paa-ay.
He Himself is the gardener, He Himself irrigates it and He Himself eats the fruits.
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਫਲ) ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਭੁਗਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਦਿਵਾਏ ॥
aapay kartaa aapay bhugtaa aapay day-ay divaa-ay.
He Himself is the Creator, and He Himself is the enjoyer; He Himself gives, and causes others to give.
ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਭੋਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪੇ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਆਪੇ ਹੈ ਰਾਖਾ ਆਪੇ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
aapay saahib aapay hai raakhaa aapay rahi-aa samaa-ay.
He Himself is the Master, Himself the watchman, and He Himself is pervading everywhere.
ਮਾਲਕ ਭੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਰਾਖਾ ਭੀ ਆਪ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਥਾਈਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ।
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਆਖੈ ਹਰਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤਿਲੁ ਨ ਤਮਾਏ ॥੧੫॥
jan naanak vadi-aa-ee aakhai har kartay kee jis no til na tamaa-ay. ||15||
Devotee Nanak describes the glory of that God, the Creator of the universe, who doesn’t have even an iota of greed. ||15||
ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਤਾ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਕੋਈ ਤਮ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧੫॥

Shalok, Third Guru:
ਮਾਣਸੁ ਭਰਿਆ ਆਣਿਆ ਮਾਣਸੁ ਭਰਿਆ ਆਇ ॥
maanas bhari-aa aani-aa maanas bhari-aa aa-ay.
One person brings a full bottle of alcohol, and another comes and fills his cup from this bottle.
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਭਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ ਮਤਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਬਰਲੁ ਪਵੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਇ ॥
jit peetai mat door ho-ay baral pavai vich aa-ay.
By drinking which, the intelligence departs and madness enters the mind;
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਅਕਲ ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਝੱਲਪੁਣਾ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਵੜਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਨ ਪਛਾਣਈ ਖਸਮਹੁ ਧਕੇ ਖਾਇ ॥
aapnaa paraa-i-aa na pachhaan-ee khasmahu Dhakay khaa-ay.
and one cannot distinguish between one’s own and a stranger and is rebuked by the Master-God.
ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਾਏ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ, ਮਾਲਕ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਧੱਕੇ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ ਖਸਮੁ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥
jit peetai khasam visrai dargeh milai sajaa-ay.
Drinking which, one forgets the Master-God, and receives punishment in God’s presence.
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੀਤਿਆਂ ਖਸਮ ਵਿਸਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਝੂਠਾ ਮਦੁ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਪੀਚਈ ਜੇ ਕਾ ਪਾਰਿ ਵਸਾਇ ॥
jhoothaa mad mool na peech-ee jay kaa paar vasaa-ay.
As far as possible, one should never drink liquor, the false intoxicant.
ਐਸਾ ਚੰਦਰਾ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, ਜਿਥੋਂ ਤਕ ਵੱਸ ਚੱਲੇ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਸਚੁ ਮਦੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਇ ॥
naanak nadree sach mad paa-ee-ai satgur milai jis aa-ay.
O’ Nanak, only that person receives the exhilarating Nectar of Naam, who by God’s grace meets and follows the teachings of the true Guru.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ‘ਨਾਮ’-ਰੂਪ ਨਸ਼ਾ (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ।
ਸਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਹੈ ਮਹਲੀ ਪਾਵੈ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥
sadaa saahib kai rang rahai mahlee paavai thaa-o. ||1||
Such a person always remains imbued in God’s love and receives honor in God’s presence. ||1||
ਐਸਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ (ਨਾਮ ਦੇ) ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਇੱਜ਼ਤ) ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Third Guru:
ਇਹੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਜਾ ਇਸ ਨੋ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
ih jagat jeevat marai jaa is no sojhee ho-ay.
When this world (human being) receives divine understanding, then it detaches itself from the Maya while still carrying out its worldly chores.
ਇਹ ਸੰਸਰ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਤਦੋਂ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੀ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਪਰਾਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ), ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਝੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਾ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਸਵਾਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਗਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਧਿ ਹੋਇ ॥
jaa tiniH savaali-aa taaN sav rahi-aa jagaa-ay taaN suDh ho-ay.
Whom God has put in the slumber of the love for Maya, remains asleep; only when God wakes him up then he receives divine understanding.
ਜਦ ਤਾਈਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ) ਸਵਾਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਤਾਈਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਸੂਝ ਤਦੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਜਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
naanak nadar karay jay aapnee satgur maylai so-ay.
O’ Nanak, if God bestows His grace, He unites him with the true Guru.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਤਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥
gur parsaad jeevat marai taa fir maran na ho-ay. ||2||
If by the Guru’s grace, one eradicates one’s ego, as if one has died while still alive; then that one does not go through the cycle of birth and death. ||2||
ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੀ ਮਰਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਉਮੇ ਛਡ ਦੇਂਦਾ) ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਫੇਰ ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥

ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਕੇਰੀ ॥
jis daa keetaa sabh kichh hovai tis no parvaah naahee kisai kayree.
That God does not depends on anyone else, because everything happens by His doing.
ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਕਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਖਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਮੁਹਤਾਜੀ ਕਢੈ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
har jee-o tayraa ditaa sabh ko khaavai sabh muhtaajee kadhai tayree.
O’ my reverent God, all survive on whatever You give them, and all are subservient to You.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਕੱਢਦੀ ਹੈ।
