ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਤੀ ਕੋਟਿ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥
tan meh hotee kot upaaDh.
Before I realized God, there were millions of afflictions in my body.
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਬਖੇੜੇ ਸਨ;
ਉਲਟਿ ਭਈ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ॥
ulat bha-ee sukh sahj samaaDh.
By being intuitively attuned to Naam, these have turned into a source of peace.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਲਟ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਨੈ ਆਪੈ ਆਪ ॥
aap pachhaanai aapai aap
My mind has recognized its true self and it now sees God pervading everywhere,
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਲ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ l (ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਿੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ;
ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਤੀਨੌ ਤਾਪ ॥੨॥
rog na bi-aapai teenou taap. ||2||
and is no longer afflicted by any of the three kinds of maladies (physical, psychological, or social). ||2||
ਰੋਗ ਤੇ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਤਾਪ (ਹੁਣ) ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ ॥੨॥
ਅਬ ਮਨੁ ਉਲਟਿ ਸਨਾਤਨੁ ਹੂਆ ॥
ab man ulat sanaatan hoo-aa.
My mind has now been restored to its original purity.
ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਲੋਂ) ਹਟ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ;
ਤਬ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਜਬ ਜੀਵਤ ਮੂਆ ॥
tab jaani-aa jab jeevat moo-aa.
It was realized only when my mind became detached from worldly affairs.
(ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ) ਤਦੋਂ ਸਮਝ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ (ਇਹ ਮਨ) ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਉ ॥
kaho kabeer sukh sahj samaava-o.
Kabeer says, I am now intuitively immersed in peace and poise.
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਵਿਚ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਆਪਿ ਨ ਡਰਉ ਨ ਅਵਰ ਡਰਾਵਉ ॥੩॥੧੭॥
aap na dara-o na avar daraava-o. ||3||17||
I do not fear anyone, and I do not strike fear into anyone else. ||3||17|
ਨਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਆਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੩॥੧੭॥

Raag Gauree, Kabeer Jee:
ਪਿੰਡਿ ਮੂਐ ਜੀਉ ਕਿਹ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
pind moo-ai jee-o kih ghar jaataa.
When the attachment to one’s body dies, where does the soul go?
ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਟਿਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਸਬਦਿ ਅਤੀਤਿ ਅਨਾਹਦਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
sabad ateet anaahad raataa.
by virtue of the Guru’s word it remains imbued in the love of infinite God.
ਤਦੋਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਤੋ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਪਛਾਨਿਆ ॥
jin raam jaani-aa tineh pachhaani-aa.
One who has realized God, only he understands Him.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗੇ ਸਾਕਰ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
ji-o goongay saakar man maani-aa. ||1||
just as a mute person’s mind is convinced about the sweet taste of candy but can’t explain it to others. ||1||
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗੁੰਗੇ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਸ਼ੱਕਰ ਵਿਚ ਪਤੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) ॥੧॥
ਐਸਾ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਕਥੈ ਬਨਵਾਰੀ ॥
aisaa gi-aan kathai banvaaree.
Such spiritual wisdom is revealed only by God Himself.
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ
ਮਨ ਰੇ ਪਵਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਸੁਖਮਨ ਨਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man ray pavan darirh sukhman naaree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my mind meditate on His Name with every breath instead of holding breath using the Sukhman way of Yogis. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਸ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ, ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਸੁਖਮਨਾ ਨਾੜੀ ਦਾ ਅੱਭਿਆਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਜਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
so gur karahu je bahur na karnaa.
Seek out such a Guru so that you don’t have to seek another Guru again.
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੇ; (ਭਾਵ, ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਲੱਗੋ);
ਸੋ ਪਦੁ ਰਵਹੁ ਜਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਰਵਨਾ ॥
so pad ravhu je bahur na ravnaa.
Dwell in such a state of bliss so that you don’t have to seek another form of peace.
ਉਸ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣੋ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੁਆਦ ਦੇ ਮਾਣਨ ਦੀ ਚਾਹ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੇ।
ਸੋ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਹੁ ਜਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਧਰਨਾ ॥
so Dhi-aan Dharahu je bahur na Dharnaa.
Embrace such a form of meditation that you don’t have to switch to another.
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਜੋੜੋ ਕਿ ਫਿਰ (ਹੋਰਥੇ) ਜੋੜਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਾਹ ਰਹੇ;
ਐਸੇ ਮਰਹੁ ਜਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਮਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
aisay marahu je bahur na marnaa. ||2||
Die to yourself by eradicating your ego so that you don’t have to go through the cycles of birth and death. ||2||.
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰੋ (ਭਾਵ, ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੂਰ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ) ਫਿਰ (ਜਨਮ) ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਣਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਪਏ ॥੨॥
ਉਲਟੀ ਗੰਗਾ ਜਮੁਨ ਮਿਲਾਵਉ ॥
ultee gangaa jamun milaava-o.
I have so turned my thoughts away from the rituals and have directed them toward meditation on Naam as if I have reversed the natural flow of the rivers Ganges and Yamuna.
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਪਰਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਗੰਗਾ ਤੇ ਜਮਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਬੇਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਗਮ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ);
ਬਿਨੁ ਜਲ ਸੰਗਮ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਵਉ ॥
bin jal sangam man meh nHaava-o.
I am so enjoying the meditation on God, as if I am bathing in my spiritually stable mind without the water of the three rivers.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਮਨ-ਰੂਪ (ਤ੍ਰਿਬੇਣੀ-) ਸੰਗਮ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ (ਗੰਗਾ, ਜਮਨਾ, ਸਰਸ੍ਵਤੀ ਵਾਲਾ) ਜਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਲੋਚਾ ਸਮਸਰਿ ਇਹੁ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ ॥
lochaa samsar ih bi-uhaaraa.
Now this is the way of my life that I view everyone with same respect.
(ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ) ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਸਭ ਨੂੰ) ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ-ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਵਰਤਣ ਹੈ।
ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ਕਿਆ ਅਵਰਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੩॥
tat beechaar ki-aa avar beechaaraa. ||3||
After Contemplating on God, what else is there to contemplate? ||3||
ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ ॥੩॥
ਅਪੁ ਤੇਜੁ ਬਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ ਆਕਾਸਾ ॥ ਐਸੀ ਰਹਤ ਰਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਸਾ ॥
ap tayj baa-ay parithmee aakaasaa. aisee rahat raha-o har paasaa.
Just as the virtues of water, fire, air, earth, and sky are the same for all, attuning myself to God, I am living a way of life like water, fire, air, earth, and sky which treat all alike.
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ, ਅੱਗ, ਹਵਾ, ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਣੀ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥
kahai kabeer niranjan Dhi-aava-o.
Kabir says, I am meditating on the immaculate God;
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਮੈਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਉ ਜਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਆਵਉ ॥੪॥੧੮॥
tit ghar jaa-o je bahur na aava-o. ||4||18||
by doing that I will attain that divine abode from where I wouldn’t have to come back. ||4||18||
ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ) ਉਸ ਘਰ (ਸਹਿਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ) ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਫਿਰ (ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਉਥੋਂ) ਆਉਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਏਗਾ ॥੪॥੧੮॥
ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਤਿਪਦੇ ॥
ga-orhee kabeer jee tipday.

ਕੰਚਨ ਸਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਹੀ ਤੋਲਿ ॥
kanchan si-o paa-ee-ai nahee tol.
God cannot be attained even in exchange for gold.
ਸੋਨਾ ਸਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਲ ਕੇ ਵੱਟੇ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਤਿਆਂ ਰੱਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
ਮਨੁ ਦੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਲੀਆ ਹੈ ਮੋਲਿ ॥੧॥
man day raam lee-aa hai mol. ||1||
I have realized God by surrendering my mind to Him. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੁੱਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰੱਬ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
ab mohi raam apunaa kar jaani-aa.
Now I consider God as my own and
ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰੱਬ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ;
ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥.
sahj subhaa-ay mayraa man maani-aa. ||1||
rahaa-o. my mind has intuitively come to believe in this. ||1||Pause||.
ਸੁਤੇ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਗੰਢ ਬੱਝ ਗਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੈ ਕਥਿ ਕਥਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
barahmai kath kath ant na paa-i-aa.
The angel Brahma could not find His limit by continually reflecting on His virtues.
ਜਿਸ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਦੱਸ ਦੱਸ ਕੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਨੇ (ਭੀ) ਅੰਤ ਨਾਹ ਪਾਇਆ,
ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਬੈਠੇ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
raam bhagat baithay ghar aa-i-aa. ||2||
Because of devotional worship, God has come to dwell in my heart. ||2||
ਉਹ ਰੱਬ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਜਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਹਜਿ-ਸੁਭਾਇ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਚੰਚਲ ਮਤਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ॥
kaho kabeer chanchal mat ti-aagee.
Kabir says, I have abandoned all my mercurial intellect and
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਮੈਂ ਛੋਹਰ-ਛਿੰਨਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਕੇਵਲ ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਜ ਭਾਗੀ ॥੩॥੧॥੧੯॥
kayval raam bhagat nij bhaagee. ||3||1||19||
now it is my destiny to worship God only. ||3||1||19||.
(ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ) ਨਿਰੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਆਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੧॥੧੯॥
ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ॥
ga-orhee kabeer jee.

ਜਿਹ ਮਰਨੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਸਿਆ ॥
jih marnai sabh jagat taraasi-aa.
The death which has terrified the entire world,
ਜਿਸ ਮੌਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਡਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਸੋ ਮਰਨਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸਿਆ ॥੧॥
so marnaa gur sabad pargaasi-aa. ||1||
The reality of that death has been revealed to me through the Guru’s word. |1|
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਅਬ ਕੈਸੇ ਮਰਉ ਮਰਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥
ab kaisay mara-o maran man maani-aa.
Now I shall not fall into the cycle of birth and death because my mind has already been convinced about dying to the self by living detached from Maya.
ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ? (ਭਾਵ, ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵਾਂਗਾ) (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਤੀਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਤੇ ਜਿਨ ਰਾਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mar mar jaatay jin raam na jaani-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Those who do not realize God, fall in the cycles of birth and death. |1||Pause||
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮਰਨੋ ਮਰਨੁ ਕਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ॥
marno maran kahai sabh ko-ee.
Everyone talks about death again and again.
(ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ) ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ‘ਮੌਤ, ਮੌਤ’ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਘਾਬਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ),
ਸਹਜੇ ਮਰੈ ਅਮਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਈ ॥੨॥
sehjay marai amar ho-ay so-ee. ||2||
He alone becomes immortal who lives in a state of equipoise rising above the worldly desires. ||2||
ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਾਹਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਮਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦਾ ॥
kaho kabeer man bha-i-aa anandaa.
Kabeer says, my mind is filled with bliss;
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਗਇਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥੩॥੨੦॥
gaiaa bharam rahi-aa parmaanandaa. ||3||20||
my doubt has vanished and God dwells in my mind. ||3||20||.
ਮੇਰਾ ਭੁਲੇਖਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਸੁਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੨੦॥
ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ॥
ga-orhee kabeer jee.
Raag Gauree, Kabeer Jee:
ਕਤ ਨਹੀ ਠਉਰ ਮੂਲੁ ਕਤ ਲਾਵਉ ॥
kat nahee tha-ur mool kat laava-o.
There is no special place where pain of separation arises; where should I apply the balm?
ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਦਵਾਈ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਲਾਵਾਂ ?
ਖੋਜਤ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
khojat tan meh tha-ur na paava-o. ||1||
I have searched the body but I have not found such a place. ||1||
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਦੀ ਢੂੰਡ ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਐਸੀ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ। ॥੧॥
ਲਾਗੀ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਪੀਰ ॥
laagee ho-ay so jaanai peer.
Only the person who has experienced the pain of separation from God knows the intensity of such pain,
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਦੀ ਦਰਦ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੀੜ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਰਾਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਨੀਆਲੇ ਤੀਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raam bhagat anee-aalay teer. ||1|| rahaa-o.
because This pain of devotion of God is like suffering the pain of sharp arrows. ||1||Pause|
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਅਣੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਅਜਿਹੇ) ਤੀਰ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਏਕ ਭਾਇ ਦੇਖਉ ਸਭ ਨਾਰੀ ॥
ayk bhaa-ay daykh-a-u sabh naaree.
I see that all the soul-brides are in love with God,
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ,
ਕਿਆ ਜਾਨਉ ਸਹ ਕਉਨ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥੨॥
ki-aa jaan-o sah ka-un pi-aaree. ||2||
how can I know which one is most dear to the Husband-God?||2|.
ਮੈਂ ਕੀਹ ਜਾਣਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜੀ (ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਹੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥
kaho kabeer jaa kai mastak bhaag.
Kabee says, one who has such preordained destiny,
ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੇਖ ਹਨ
ਸਭ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਹਾਗੁ ॥੩॥੨੧॥
sabh parhar taa ka-o milai suhaag. ||3||21||
the Husband-God, forsaking all, comes to meet with her. ||3||21||.
ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੨੧॥
