ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੇ ਚਲਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਇ ॥੭॥
sabad ratay say nirmalay chaleh satgur bhaa-ay. ||7||
Those who are attuned to the Shabad-Guru are immaculate and pure. They live according to the Will of the True Guru.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਦੇ ਰੰਗ) ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ l
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਤੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
har parabh daataa ayk tooN tooN aapay bakhas milaa-ay.
O’ God, You alone are the benefactor of all. Showing Your mercy, forgive us and unite us with Yourself.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਦਾਤ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ।
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੮॥੧॥੯॥
jan naanak sarnaagatee ji-o bhaavai tivai chhadaa-ay. ||8||1||9||
Nanak has come to Your shelter, please save me from the worldly bonds in whatever way you wish.
ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ l

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One unique God. realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਹਲੇ ਮਨ ਪਰਦੇਸੀਆ ਕਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਇ ॥
karhalay man pardaysee-aa ki-o milee-ai har maa-ay.
O my camel like mind, you are a guest in this world. Think how might we meet God, our eternal Mother?
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਪਰਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨ! (ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਇਸ ਵਤਨ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ)। ਕਦੇ ਸੋਚ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਏ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਗੁਰੁ ਭਾਗਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਲਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਆਇ ॥੧॥
gur bhaag poorai paa-i-aa gal mili-aa pi-aaraa aa-ay. ||1||
The person, who through perfect destiny, has met the Guru and has followed his teachings. God has Himself accepted him.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਆ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man karhalaa satgur purakh Dhi-aa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my camel-like mind, meditate on the True Guru, the Primal Being.
ਹੇ ਊਂਠ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
man karhalaa veechaaree-aa har raam naam Dhi-aa-ay.
O’ my camel-like wandering mind, contemplate and lovingly meditate on God’s Name.
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਬਣ, ਤੇ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
ਜਿਥੈ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੨॥
jithai laykhaa mangee-ai har aapay la-ay chhadaa-ay. ||2||
Where the account of your deed is asked, God Himself will get you released.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ (ਉਥੇ) ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਕਰਾ ਲਏਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ (ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ) ਹਿਸਾਬ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਗੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਆਇ ॥
man karhalaa at nirmalaa mal laagee ha-umai aa-ay.
O camel-like mind, you were once very pure; the filth of egotism has now attached itself to you.
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ (ਅਸਲੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਆ ਚੰਬੜੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਤਖਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਇ ॥੩॥
partakh pir ghar naal pi-aaraa vichhurh chotaa khaa-ay. ||3||
Because of this dirt of ego, you are unable to see your beloved God, who is manifest within you. Getting separated from Him you are suffering pains.
ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਤੱਖ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜਿੰਦ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੁੜ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਭਾਲਿ ਭਾਲਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa mayray pareetamaa har ridai bhaal bhaalaa-ay.
O my beloved camel-like mind, search and find God within your own heart.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ- ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਢੂੰਢ ਕਰ।
ਉਪਾਇ ਕਿਤੈ ਨ ਲਭਈ ਗੁਰੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਖਾਇ ॥੪॥
upaa-ay kitai na labh-ee gur hirdai har daykhaa-ay. ||4
God cannot be realized by any other means; only the Guru will show Him within your heart.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੀਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ (ਹੀ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa mayray pareetamaa din rain har liv laa-ay.
O my beloved camel-like mind, day and night, lovingly attune yourself to God.
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਨ! ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ।
ਘਰੁ ਜਾਇ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਰੰਗ ਮਹਲੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾਇ ॥੫॥
ghar jaa-ay paavahi rang mahlee gur maylay har maylaa-ay. ||5||
Upon reaching God’s court , you would find a place of eternal peace for yourself . But only the Guru can unite you with God.
ਉਸ ਆਨੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਮਹਲ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਏਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੀਤੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਖੰਡੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਤਜਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa tooN meet mayraa pakhand lobh tajaa-ay.
O’ my camel-like friendly mind, abandon your hypocrisy and greed.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ (ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ) ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਲਾਲਚ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ ਤੇ ਪਖੰਡ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ।
ਪਾਖੰਡਿ ਲੋਭੀ ਮਾਰੀਐ ਜਮ ਡੰਡੁ ਦੇਇ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੬॥
pakhand lobhee maaree-ai jam dand day-ay sajaa-ay. ||6||
The hypocritical and the greedy persons are tortured by the demon of death.This is the punishment given to him.
ਪਖੰਡੀ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਸਹਮ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਲੁ ਪਾਖੰਡੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa mayray paraan tooN mail pakhand bharam gavaa-ay.
O’ my camel-like mind, my life; rid yourself of the dirt of hypocrisy and doubts.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਨ! ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਤੇ ਪਖੰਡ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ l
ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਰੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰਿਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਮਲੁ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੭॥
har amrit sar gur poori-aa mil sangtee mal leh jaa-ay. ||7||
The Guru has provided the Ambrosial Pool filled with the nectar of God’s Name; join this pool of Holy Congregation, and wash away the dirt of vices.
(ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਨਕਾ-ਨਕ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਏਗੀ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਇਕ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa mayray pi-aari-aa ik gur kee sikh sunaa-ay.
O my dear beloved camel-like mind, listen only to the Teachings of the Guru.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ (ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਣ l
ਇਹੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਇ ॥੮॥
ih moh maa-i-aa pasri-aa ant saath na ko-ee jaa-ay. ||8||
This expanse of the world which you see spread in front of you is just an illusion, and will not accompany you in the end.
ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ-ਜਾਲ ਖਿਲਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਅੰਤ ਵੇਲੇ (ਇਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਭੀ (ਤੇਰੇ) ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਇਗਾ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੀਆ ਪਤਿ ਪਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa mayray saajnaa har kharach lee-aa pat paa-ay.
O’ my camel-like mind, my good friend, the person who has taken God’s Name as his support, has obtained honor.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਸੱਜਣ ਮਨ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਪੱਲੇ ਬੱਧਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਨਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਲਇਆ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਇ ॥੯॥
har dargeh painaa-i-aa har aap la-i-aa gal laa-ay. ||9||
He is honored at God’s court, and God Himself accepts him.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
man karhalaa gur mani-aa gurmukh kaar kamaa-ay.
O’ my camel-like mind, have faith in the Guru, and follow his teachings.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਸਰਧਾ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਕਾਰ ਕਰ।
ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਕਰਿ ਜੋਦੜੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾਇ ॥੧੦॥੧॥
gur aagai kar jod-rhee jan naanak har maylaa-ay. ||10||1||
O’ Nanak, make a humble prayer to the Guru, that he may unite you with God.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਕਰ (ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ), ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖ l

Raag Gauree, by the Fourth Guru:
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਆ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਦੇਖੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥
man karhalaa veechaaree-aa veechaar daykh samaal.
O contemplative camel-like mind, contemplate and look carefully,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਬਣ, ਤੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ, ਤੂੰ ਹੋਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ,
ਬਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਥਕੇ ਬਨ ਵਾਸੀਆ ਪਿਰੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥੧॥
ban fir thakay ban vaasee-aa pir gurmat ridai nihaal. ||1||
-you have grown weary in search of God, like the forest-dwellers wandering in the forests. Follow the Guru’s teachings and realize (behold) God within you.
ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕ ਭਟਕ ਕੇ ਥੱਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹੇ ਜੰਗਲ-ਵਾਸੀ ਮਨ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੇਖ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man karhalaa gur govind samaal. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ my camel-like mind, enshrine God in your heart.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਂਭ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਆ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਫਾਥਿਆ ਮਹਾ ਜਾਲਿ ॥
man karhalaa veechaaree-aa manmukh faathi-aa mahaa jaal.
O’ my camel-like contemplative mind, the self-willed manmukhs are caught in the huge net of worldly attachments.
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਬਣ, (ਵੇਖ,) ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਵੱਡੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੨॥
gurmukh paraanee mukat hai har har naam samaal. ||2||
A Guru’s follower who remembers God’s Name with love and devotion becomes free of this net of worldly attachments.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕੇ (ਇਸ ਜਾਲ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭਾਲਿ ॥
man karhalaa mayray pi-aari-aa satsangat satgur bhaal.
O’ my dear camel-like mind, try to meet the Guru in the holy congregation.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਨ! ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਹ, (ਉਥੇ) ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ।
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਲਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਲੈ ਤੇਰੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੩॥
satsangat lag har Dhi-aa-ee-ai har har chalai tayrai naal. ||3||
Joining the holy congregation, meditate on God’s Name with love and devotion, which would accompany you even after death.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ, ਇਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ (ਸਦਾ) ਸਾਥ ਕਰੇਗਾ ॥
ਮਨ ਕਰਹਲਾ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਏਕ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲਿ ॥
man karhalaa vadbhaagee-aa har ayk nadar nihaal.
O’ my camel-like mind, that person becomes fortunate on whom God casts His glance of grace.
ਹੇ ਬੇ-ਮੁਹਾਰ ਮਨ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
