ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਨਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਰਦਾਯਉ ਉਲਟਿ ਗੰਗ ਪਸ੍ਚਮਿ ਧਰੀਆ ॥
har naam rasan gurmukh baraad-ya-o ulat gang pascham Dharee-aa.
By uttering and dispersing God’s Name, Guru Nanak turned people’s mind from materialism towards spiritualism as if he had reversed the flow of river Ganges from east to west.
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਉਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਵਰਤਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਥ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਲਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ l
ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਛਲੁ ਭਗਤਹ ਭਵ ਤਾਰਣੁ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਫੁਰਿਆ ॥੧॥
so-ee naam achhal bhagtah bhav taaran amardaas gur ka-o furi-aa. ||1||
That same undeceivable Name of God which ferries the devotees across the world-ocean of vices became manifest in Guru Amardas. ||1||
ਉਹੀ ਅਛੱਲ ਨਾਮ, ਉਹੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧॥
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਖ੍ ਅਰੁ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਹਰਾ ॥
simrahi so-ee naam jakh-y ar kinnar saaDhik siDh samaaDh haraa.
The gods and heavenly singers, the siddhas and seekers and Shiva lovinglyremember the same Name of God.
ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜੱਖ, ਕਿੰਨਰ, ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਨਖ੍ਯ੍ਯਤ੍ਰ ਅਵਰ ਧ੍ਰੂ ਮੰਡਲ ਨਾਰਦਾਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦਿ ਵਰਾ ॥
simrahi nakh-yatar avar Dharoo mandal naardaad parahlaad varaa.
Many stars (galaxies of Dharoo), sages like Naarad, and exalted devotees like Prehlad remember God’s Name.
ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਨਛੱਤ੍ਰ, ਧ੍ਰੂ ਭਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੰਡਲ, ਨਾਰਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਭਗਤ ਜਪ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਸੀਅਰੁ ਅਰੁ ਸੂਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਲਾਸਹਿ ਸੈਲ ਲੋਅ ਜਿਨਿ ਉਧਰਿਆ ॥
sasee-ar ar soor naam ulaaseh sail lo-a jin uDhri-aa.
The moon and the sun long for God’s Name, which has emancipated a large number of stone hearted people.
ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਉਸੇ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਛਲੁ ਭਗਤਹ ਭਵ ਤਾਰਣੁ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਫੁਰਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਵਰਿ ਨਵ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸਿਵ ਸਨਕਾਦਿ ਸਮੁਧਰਿਆ ॥
so-ee naam sivar nav naath niranjan siv sankaad samuDhri-aa.
The nine yogi masters, god Shiva, and devotees like Sanak were emancipated by focusing their minds on that same immaculate Name.
ਨੌ ਨਾਥ, ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ, ਸਨਕ ਆਦਿਕ ਉਸੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਤਰ ਗਏ;
ਚਵਰਾਸੀਹ ਸਿਧ ਬੁਧ ਜਿਤੁ ਰਾਤੇ ਅੰਬਰੀਕ ਭਵਜਲੁ ਤਰਿਆ ॥
chavraaseeh siDh buDh jit raatay ambreek bhavjal tari-aa.
The eighty-four adepts, other divinely wise persons are imbued with the same Name; italso carried Ambreek across the world-ocean of vices.
ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਸਿੱਧ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਉਸੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ; (ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਅੰਬਰੀਕ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਰ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਧਉ ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰੁ ਤਿਲੋਚਨੁ ਨਾਮਾ ਕਲਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਹਰਿਆ ॥
uDha-o akroor tilochan naamaa kal kabeer kilvikh hari-aa.
The same Name in Kalyug eradicated the sins of devotees like Oodho, Akaroor, Tirlochan, Namdev, and Kabir.
ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਊਧੌ, ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰ, ਤ੍ਰਿਲੋਚਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, (ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੇ) ਕਲਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਕਬੀਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਤਿਤੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਤੇਤੀਸ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਜਤੀ ਤਪੀਸੁਰ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ॥
tit naam laag taytees Dhi-aavahi jatee tapeesur man vasi-aa.
Focusing on God’s Name millions of angels are lovingly remembering Him; God’s Name is enshrined in the minds of the celibates and penitents.
ਤੇਤੀ ਕ੍ਰੋੜ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਤਪੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਗੰਗੇਵ ਪਿਤਾਮਹ ਚਰਣ ਚਿਤ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸਿਆ ॥
so-ee naam simar gangayv pitaameh charan chit amrit rasi-aa.
Bhisham Pitama, the son of the Ganges, got united with God’s Name and the ambrosial nectar of Naam trickled in his mind by remembering God’s Name.
ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਪਤਾਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਚੋਇਆ।
ਤਿਤੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਗਰੂਅ ਮਤਿ ਸਤ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਉਧਰੀਆ ॥
tit naam guroo gambheer garoo-a mat sat kar sangat uDhree-aa.
By remembering that Name and having full faith in the profound and sublime wisdom of the true Guru, the holy congregation is being saved.
ਉਸੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ, ਗੰਭੀਰ ਤੇ ਉਚੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਪੂਰਨ ਸਰਧਾ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ, ਸੰਗਤ ਤਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਉਹੀ ਅਛੱਲ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੪॥
ਨਾਮ ਕਿਤਿ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਣਿ ਰਵਿ ਸੁਰਤਰ ਸਾਖਹ ॥
naam kit sansaar kiran rav surtar saakhah.
Like the rays of the sun and (the fragrance of) the branches of the mythical Elysian tree, the glory of God’s Name has spread in the world,
ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਰਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਪ ਬਿਰਛ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਗਧੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਜਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਉਤਰਿ ਦਖਿਣਿ ਪੁਬਿ ਦੇਸਿ ਪਸ੍ਚਮਿ ਜਸੁ ਭਾਖਹ ॥
utar dakhin pub days pascham jas bhaakhah.
and in the countries of the north, south, east and west, people are uttering the praises of God.
ਉੱਤਰ, ਦੱਖਣ, ਪੂਰਬ, ਪੱਛਮ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਭ ਪਾਸੀਂ) ਲੋਕ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਸ ਉਚਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਨਮੁ ਤ ਇਹੁ ਸਕਯਥੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੈ ॥
janam ta ih sakyath jit naam har ridai nivaasai.
Only that human life is fruitful in which God’s Name gets enshrined in the heart.
ਉਹੀ ਜਨਮ ਸਕਾਰਥਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸੇ।
ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਗਣ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਛਿਅ ਦਰਸਨ ਆਸਾਸੈ ॥
sur nar gan ganDharab chhi-a darsan aasaasai.
The gods, humans, heavenly singers, and the yogis of all six different sects yearn for God’s Name.
ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਗਣ, ਗੰਧਰਬ ਤੇ ਛੇ ਹੀ ਭੇਖ ਲੋਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਲਉ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧੁ ਤੇਜੋ ਤਨੌ ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰ ਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਇਅਓ ॥
bhala-o parsiDh tayjo tanou kal-y jorh kar Dhayaa-i-o.
The son of Tej Bhaan of the Bhalla dynasty is noble and famous, with folded hands Kall meditates on him and says:
ਤੇਜ ਭਾਨ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ, ਭੱਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਲ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਘੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਕਵੀ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਆਰਾਧਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ)-
ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤ ਭਵਜਲ ਹਰਣੁ ਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਤੈ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੫॥
so-ee naam bhagat bhavjal haran gur amardaas tai paa-i-o. ||5||
O’ Guru Amardas, you have attained God’s Name, which eradicates the cycle of the birth and death of the devotees. ||5||
ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ! ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ-ਮਰਨ ਕੱਟਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਤੂੰ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਦੇਵ ਤੇਤੀਸ ਅਰੁ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿਧ ਨਰ ਨਾਮਿ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
naam Dhi-aavahi dayv taytees ar saaDhik siDh nar naam khand barahmand Dhaaray.
The millions of gods meditate on God’s Name, along with the siddhas and seekers; all the continents and the galaxies are supported by God’s Name.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਤੀ ਕਰੋੜ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਸਿੱਧ ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ) ਟਿਕਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਜਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਧਿਓ ਹਰਖੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਸਮ ਕਰਿ ਸਹਾਰੇ ॥
jah naam samaaDhi-o harakh sog sam kar sahaaray.
Those who have remembered God’s Name, have borne sorrow and joy as the same.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਰੋਮਣਿ ਸਰਬ ਮੈ ਭਗਤ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
naam siroman sarab mai bhagat rahay liv Dhaar.
God’s Name is considered the most sublime of all, and the devotees remain attuned to it with single-minded devotion.
(ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਉੱਤਮ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤ ਜਨ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਟਿਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਅਮਰ ਗੁਰ ਤੁਸਿ ਦੀਓ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥੬॥
so-ee naam padaarath amar gur tus dee-o kartaar. ||6||
O’ Guru Amardas, God, in His pleasure, has blessed you with the same wealth of Naam.
ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ! ਉਹੀ ਨਾਮ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਤੈਨੂੰ) ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥
ਸਤਿ ਸੂਰਉ ਸੀਲਿ ਬਲਵੰਤੁ ਸਤ ਭਾਇ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਘਨ ਗਰੂਅ ਮਤਿ ਨਿਰਵੈਰਿ ਲੀਣਾ ॥
sat soora-o seel balvant sat bhaa-ay sangat saghan garoo-a mat nirvair leenaa.
Guru Amardas is truly a hero, powerful yet humble, he is truly even-tempered, holds large congregation, has profound intellect, feels enmity towards none, and is attuned to God.
ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਸੱਤਿ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਹੈ, ਸੀਲਵੰਤ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਿਚ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੈ, ਵੱਡੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਡੂੰਘੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ;
ਜਿਸੁ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਧੁਰਿ ਧਵਲੁ ਧੁਜਾ ਸੇਤਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਬੀਣਾ ॥
jis Dheeraj Dhur Dhaval Dhujaa sayt baikunth beenaa.
From the very beginning, he has been given the white flag of patience, which shows the way toward the bridge to God’s presence.
ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਧੁਰ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਇਆ ਧੀਰਜ ਰੂਪ ਝੰਡਾ ਬੈਕੁੰਠਨੂੰ ਜਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੁਲ ਉਤੇ ਐਨ ਆਰੰਭ ਤੋਂ ਦਿਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਰਸਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਜਿਹ ਕਰਤਾਰਹ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥
parseh sant pi-aar jih kartaareh sanjog.
Guru Amar Das who is united with the Creator-God, the saints meet and follow him with love.
ਜਿਸ (ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਪਿਆਰ-ਸਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਪਰਸਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਅਮਰਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਤਉ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੭॥
satguroo sayv sukh paa-i-o amar gur keeta-o jog. ||7||
They find inner peace by serving and following the true Guru because Guru Amardas has made them worthy of it. ||7||.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਜੋਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ॥੭॥
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਵਣੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸ ਖਾਣੁ ਅਰੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਚਾਯ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਸ੍ਟ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

For Guru Amar Das, God’s Name is the ablution, God’s Name is like partaking of dainty dishes; the delight of God’s Name is always his inspiration and he always utters sweet words from his mouth.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਲਈ) ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਰਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਪੀਣਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਸ ਹੀ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ) ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਮੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ।
ਧਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਓ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਸਾਇ ਗਤਿ ਅਗਮ ਜਾਣੀ ॥
Dhan satgur sayvi-o jis pasaa-ay gat agam jaanee.
Blessed is the true Guru (Angad Dev) by serving whom Guru Amar Dass has come to know the incomprehensible state of God,
ਗੁਰੂ (ਅੰਗਦ ਦੇਵ) ਧੰਨ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ) ਸੇਵਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਕੁਲ ਸੰਬੂਹ ਸਮੁਧਰੇ ਪਾਯਉ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥
kul sambooh samuDhray paa-ya-o naam nivaas.
by virtue of it, he (Guru Amar Das) has realized God’s Name abiding in his heart, and has emancipated all his lineages.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ) ਕਈ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, (ਆਪ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
