ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਉਪਜੀ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸ ॥
kar kirpaa leenay kar apunay upjee daras pi-aas.
O’ my mother, by His grace, those whom God has made His own, a yearning for His vision arises in them.
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਆਸ ॥੧॥
satsang mil har gun gaa-ay binsee dutee-aa aas. ||1||
Joining the congregation of holy persons, those human beings sing the glorious praises of God; except for God, all other desires vanish from within them.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ) ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਟੇਕ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਮਹਾ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਅਟਵੀ ਤੇ ਕਾਢੇ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੰਤ ਕਹਿਓ ॥
mahaa udi-aan atvee tay kaadhay maarag sant kahi-o.
Those whom the righteous path of life was revealed by the saints, which pulled them out of the dense forest of worldly problems.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੇ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-) ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਜੰਗਲ (ਵਰਗੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਬਨ) ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ।
ਦੇਖਤ ਦਰਸੁ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਨਾਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਤਨੁ ਲਹਿਓ ॥੨॥੧੦੦॥੧੨੩॥
daykhat daras paap sabh naasay har naanak ratan lahi-o. ||2||100||123||
O’ Nanak, upon visualizing God, all their sins were destroyed and they found the jewel like the precious Name of God.||2||100||123||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ॥੨॥੧੦੦॥੧੨੩॥

Raag Sarang, Fifth Guru:
ਮਾਈ ਰੀ ਅਰਿਓ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਖੋਰਿ ॥
maa-ee ree ari-o paraym kee khor.
O’ my mother, my mind is obsessed and elated with the love of God.
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! (ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਦਰਸਨ ਰੁਚਿਤ ਪਿਆਸ ਮਨਿ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸਕਤ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਤੋਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
darsan ruchit pi-aas man sundar sakat na ko-ee tor. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The craving for His blessed vision remains in my mind and no one can break this beautiful lthought.||1||pause||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ (ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ) ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਕੋਈ ਤੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਮਾਨ ਪਤਿ ਪਿਤ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਧਨ ਮੋਰ ॥
paraan maan pat pit sut banDhap har sarbas Dhan mor.
O’ my mother, for me God is my life breath, honor, pride, father, son, relative, and everything.
ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਹੈ, ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ, ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਸਨਬੰਧੀ ਹੈ, ਧਨ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਹੀ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਅਸਤ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਨਤ ਹੋਰ ॥੧॥
Dharig sareer asat bistaa kiram bin har jaanat hor. ||1||
Accursed is that body of that person who recognizes anybody else except God, and is nothing but bones, filth and worms. ll1ll
ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਫਿਰ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਿਰਾ) ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਗੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਮ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਪਰਾ ਪੂਰਬਲਾ ਜੋਰ ॥
bha-i-o kirpaal deen dukh bhanjan paraa poorbalaa jor.
It must be the power of some divine blessings in one’s past life that God, the destroyer of sorrows of the meek, becomes kind to him,
ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਮੁੱਢ-ਕਦੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਬਿਨਸਿਓ ਆਨ ਨਿਹੋਰ ॥੨॥੧੦੧॥੧੨੪॥
naanak saran kirpaa niDh saagar binsi-o aan nihor. ||2||101||124||
O’ Nanak, that is why he takes refuge in God, the ocean of mercy; and all his subservience to others finishes. ||2||101||124||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ (ਸਾਰੀ) ਮੁਥਾਜੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੦੧॥੧੨੪॥

Raag Saarang, Fifth Guru:
ਨੀਕੀ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਧੁਨਿ ਸੋਇ ॥
neekee raam kee Dhun so-ay.
O’ my friends, the devotion to God and singing His praises is excellent.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਣਾ), ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ-ਇਹ ਇਕ ਸੋਹਣੀ (ਕਾਰ) ਹੈ।
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਅਨੂਪ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਪਤ ਸਾਧੂ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
charan kamal anoop su-aamee japat saaDhoo ho-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
By remembering God’s immaculate Name with devotion, one becomes saintly and virtuous. ||1||Pause||
ਸੋਹਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਲਾ ਨੇਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਚਿਤਵਤਾ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਲਮਲਾ ਕਢੁ ਧੋਇ ॥
chitvataa gopaal darsan kalmalaa kadh Dho-ay.
By creating the desire for the blessed vision of God, the sustainer of the world, you may wash off the sprouting seeds of all the sinful thoughts from within you;
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ (ਭਾਵ, ਵਸਾ ਕੇ) (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ) ਪਾਪ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈ।
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਅੰਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਛਾਡੇ ਖੋਇ ॥੧॥
janam maran bikaar ankur har kaat chhaaday kho-ay. ||1||
then God will destroy from within you all the sinful sprouting seeds which is the cause of the cycle of birth and death.||1||
ਤਾਂ)ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ (ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਬੀਜ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਪਰਾ ਪੂਰਬਿ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਰਲਾ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਇ ॥
paraa poorab jisahi likhi-aa birlaa paa-ay ko-ay.
This gift is bestowed upon a rare human being who has been so preordained:
ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਕੋਈ ਉਹ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੂਰਬਲੇ ਸਮੇ ਤੋਂ (ਇਹ ਲੇਖ) ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਰਵਣ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਕਰਤੇ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਚੁ ਜੋਇ ॥੨॥੧੦੨॥੧੨੫॥
ravan gun gopaal kartay naankaa sach jo-ay. ||2||102||125||
O’ Nanak, he sings the glorious praises of God who is the creator and is eternal ||2||102||125||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣੇ (ਇਹ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਕਾਰ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥੧੦੨॥੧੨੫॥

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਰ ॥
har kay naam kee mat saar.
The intellect of remembrance of God’s Name is superior compared to the intellects motivated towards other deeds.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ (ਵਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨ) ਵਾਲੀ ਅਕਲ (ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਕਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਜੁ ਆਨ ਰਾਚਹਿ ਮਿਥਨ ਸਭ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har bisaar jo aan raacheh mithan sabh bisthaar. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Those human beings who forsake God and are always engaged in other activities, all their ostentations eventually go in vain. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਆਹਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਰੇ (ਆਖ਼ਿਰ) ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਮਿ ਭਜੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਾਪ ਹੋਵਤ ਖਾਰ ॥
saaDhsangam bhaj su-aamee paap hovat khaar.
By staying in the congregation of the holy persons and singing the praises of God, all the sins get destroyed.
ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕ ਕੇ) ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਚਰਨਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਬਸਾਇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਾਰ ॥੧॥
charnaarbind basaa-ay hirdai bahur janam na maar. ||1||
O’ my friends, enshrine God’s Name in your heart, and you will not be caught in the cycle of birth and death again. ||1||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਮੁੜ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
ਕਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਏਕ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰ ॥
kar anugrah raakh leenay ayk naam aDhaar.
Those human beings, whom God protects by His grace, are supported by His Name alone.
ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਿਨ ਰੈਨਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥੨॥੧੦੩॥੧੨੬॥
din rain simrat sadaa naanak mukh oojal darbaar. ||2||103||126||
O’ Nanak, while meditating on Him day and night, their faces become radiant in the presence of God.||2||103||126||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਜਲੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੦੩॥੧੨੬॥

ਮਾਨੀ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਮ ਕੈ ਦਰਿ ਮਾਨੀ ॥
maanee tooN raam kai dar maanee.
O’ mortal, (if you sing the praises of God), you will receive honor in God’s presence,
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੇਂ, ਤਾਂ) ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਤਕਾਰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰੇਂਗੀ
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਸਭ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saaDhsang mil har gun gaa-ay binsee sabh abhimaanee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
One who sang the praises of God in the company of saints, all his sense of ego has vanished. ||1||Pause||
(ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ) ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹਉਮੈ ਵਾਲੀ ਮੱਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਨੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੂਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
Dhaar anoograhu apnee kar leenee gurmukh poor gi-aanee.
Bestowing mercy whom God accepted His own, by following the Guru’s teachings that person became fully knowledgeable about the spiritual life;
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਜਿਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਨੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਦਰਸ ਧਿਆਨੀ ॥੧॥
sarab sookh aanand ghanayray thaakur daras Dhi-aanee. ||1||
that person enjoyed all comforts and immense bliss, by focusing mind on the blessed vision of God.||1||
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਆਨੰਦ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ॥੧॥
ਨਿਕਟਿ ਵਰਤਨਿ ਸਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਸਾਈ ਜਾਨੀ ॥
nikat vartan saa sadaa suhaagan dah dis saa-ee jaanee.
O’ my friends, one who always remembers God’s Name with love and devotion, has become eternally blissful and known all over.
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦੇ! ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਸੁਹਾਗ-ਭਾਗ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਉਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੀ ਨਾਰਾਇਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥੨॥੧੦੪॥੧੨੭॥
pari-a rang rang ratee naaraa-in naanak tis kurbaanee. ||2||104||127||
O’ Nanak, I am dedicated to that one who remains imbued with the love of the beloved God’s wonders.||2||104||127||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੦੪॥੧੨੭॥

Raag Saarang, Fifth Guru:
ਤੁਅ ਚਰਨ ਆਸਰੋ ਈਸ ॥
tu-a charan aasro ees.
O’ God, for us human beings, Your immaculate Name is our only support.
ਹੇ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ! (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਹੀ) ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਮਹਿ ਪਛਾਨੂ ਸਾਕੁ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰ ਤੁਮੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tumeh pachhaanoo saak tumeh sang raakhanhaar tumai jagdees. rahaa-o.
O’ the Master of the universe, You are our acquaintance, our relative and the companion; You are our only savior in this world .||1||pause||
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਜਾਣੂ-ਪਛਾਣੂ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਮੇਲ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਤੂ ਹਮਰੋ ਹਮ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਕਹੀਐ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
too hamro ham tumray kahee-ai it ut tum hee raakhay.
O’ God, every human being says that You are ours and we are Yours, and You are our protector both here and hereafter.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਇਹੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਖੈ ॥੧॥
too bay-ant aprampar su-aamee gur kirpaa ko-ee laakhai. ||1||
O’ God and Master, You are infinite and beyond limits; only a rare human being has understood this by the Guru’s grace.||1||
ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈਂ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਮਝੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਬਿਨੁ ਬਕਨੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਹਨ ਕਹਾਵਨ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
bin baknay bin kahan kahaavan antarjaamee jaanai.
O’ my friends, God is omniscient; without our speaking and without our utterance, He knows our needs.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਆਖਣ-ਅਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਸਾਡੀ ਲੋੜ) ਜਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੇ ॥੨॥੧੦੫॥੧੨੮॥
jaa ka-o mayl la-ay parabh naanak say jan dargeh maanay. ||2||105||128||
Nanak says, those human beings whom God unites with Himself, are honored in His presence.||2||105||128||
ਨਾਨਕ (ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੧੦੫॥੧੨੮॥
