ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੈ ਹੋਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥
jaa kai keenHai hot bikaar.
Many vices well up in the mind while amassing those worldly possessions,
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ) ਵਿਕਾਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਸੇ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਗਵਾਰ ॥੫॥
say chhod chali-aa khin meh gavaar. ||5||
leaving them in an instant, the fool departs from this world. ||5||
ਮੂਰਖ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ) ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ (ਇਥੋਂ) ਤੁਰ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਬਹੁ ਭਰਮਿਆ ॥
maa-i-aa mohi baho bharmi-aa.
One has been immensely strayed by his love for materialism,
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਟਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਕਿਰਤ ਰੇਖ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਮਿਆ ॥
kirat raykh kar karmi-aa.
and based on his preordained destiny, he keeps doing more of the similar deeds.
(ਪਿਛਲੇ) ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ ( ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ) ਕਰਮ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਆਪਿ ॥
karnaihaar alipat aap.
However God Himself, the real doer of everything, is detached.
ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੈ ।
ਨਹੀ ਲੇਪੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪਿ ॥੬॥
nahee layp parabh punn paap. ||6||
God is not affected by any virtues or sins. ||6||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਜਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਅਸਰ ਨਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ॥੬॥
ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
raakh layho gobind da-i-aal.
O’ merciful God of the Universe! please save me,
ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ! ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ।
ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥
tayree saran pooran kirpaal.
I have come to Your refuge, O’ the all pervading compassionate God.
ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ! ਹੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀ ਠਾਉ ॥
tujh bin doojaa nahee thaa-o.
Except for You, there is no other (safe) place for me.
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਹੁ ਨਾਉ ॥੭॥
kar kirpaa parabh dayh naa-o. ||7||
O’ God! please bestow mercy and bless me with Your Name. ||7||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ॥੭॥
ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੂ ਕਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
too kartaa too karanhaar.
O’ God, You are the creator and capable of doing everything.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ (ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ l
ਤੂ ਊਚਾ ਤੂ ਬਹੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥
too oochaa too baho apaar.
You are the highest of the high and totally infinite.
ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈਂ l
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੜਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
kar kirpaa larh layho laa-ay.
Please bestow mercy and keep us united with Your Name.
ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ (ਸਾਨੂੰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥੮॥੨॥

O’ Nanak, the devotees remain in God’s refuge. ||8||2||

One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਕੈ ਹੋਹੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਭਾਈ ॥
har kaa naam Dhi-aa-ay kai hohu hari-aa bhaa-ee.
O’ my brother, lovingly remember God’s Name and rejuvenate spiritually.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾ l
ਕਰਮਿ ਲਿਖੰਤੈ ਪਾਈਐ ਇਹ ਰੁਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਈ ॥
karam likhantai paa-ee-ai ih rut suhaa-ee.
This pleasant season (the human life to meditate on Naam) is received only because of the preordained destiny of God’s grace.
(ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਸਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਲਿਖੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੇਖ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣੁ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਈ ॥
van tarin taribhavan ma-oli-aa amrit fal paa-ee.
Just as the woods, vegetation and the entire world are in bloom, similarly you too receive the ambrosial fruit of Naam and bloom spiritually.
ਜਿਵੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ ਫਲ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਖਿੜ ਜਾ l
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੁਖੁ ਊਪਜੈ ਲਥੀ ਸਭ ਛਾਈ ॥
mil saaDhoo sukh oopjai lathee sabh chhaa-ee.
Peace wells up within the heart and the dirt of sins from the mind is erased by meeting the Guru (and by following his teachings).
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਧਾਈ ॥੧॥
naanak simrai ayk naam fir bahurh na Dhaa-ee. ||1||
Nanak lovingly remembers God’s Name, because of which one does not wander through the reincarnations. ||1||
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਪੰਜੇ ਬਧੇ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਕਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਢੋਆ ॥
panjay baDhay mahaabalee kar sachaa dho-aa.
One who has sought the support of the eternal God, has brought under control all the five powerful demons (lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego)
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਹੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਬਲੀ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਣ ਜਪਾਇਅਨੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਦਯੁ ਖੜੋਆ ॥
aapnay charan japaa-i-an vich da-yu kharho-aa.
The merciful God has caused him to meditate on His immaculate Name, as if He Himself has come to stand with him.
ਦਿਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਖਲੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਟਿਕਾਏ ਭਾਵ ਆਪ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਨਿਤ ਨਵਾ ਨਿਰੋਆ ॥
rog sog sabh mit ga-ay nit navaa niro-aa.
All his afflictions and sorrows have vanished and every day he feels fresh and healthy.
(ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ) ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਰੋਗ ਤੇ ਸਹਸੇ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ-ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਅਰੋਗ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਪਾਇ ਨ ਮੋਆ ॥
din rain naam Dhi-aa-idaa fir paa-ay na mo-aa.
He always lovingly remembers God’s Name and does not go through the rounds of birth and death.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ।
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸੋਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਹੋਆ ॥੨॥
jis tay upji-aa naankaa so-ee fir ho-aa. ||2||
O’ Nanak, he has become one with God, from whom he was created. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ,ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਕਿਥਹੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਕਹ ਰਹੈ ਕਹ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥
kithhu upjai kah rahai kah maahi samaavai.
The question is where does one come from, where did he live (before coming into this world) and ultimately where does he merge?
(ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿ) ਜੀਵ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਥੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਕਿਥੇ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਖਸਮ ਕੇ ਕਉਣੁ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
jee-a jant sabh khasam kay ka-un keemat paavai.
The answer is that all creatures and beings are created by God; who can estimate the worth of the creator?.
ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ (ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ) ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਕਹਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ਸੁਣਨਿ ਨਿਤ ਸੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੁਹਾਵੈ ॥
kahan Dhi-aa-in sunan nit say bhagat suhaavai.
Exalted and righteous is the life of those devotees who always utter, contemplate and listen to the virtues of God.
ਜੋ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਣੇ (ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਹਨ।
ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸਾਹਿਬੋ ਦੂਸਰੁ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਵੈ ॥
agam agochar saahibo doosar lavai na laavai.
The Master-God is inaccessible and incomprehensible and no one is equal Him.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਸਚੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥੩॥੧॥
sach poorai gur updaysi-aa naanak sunaavai. ||3||1||
Nanak preachees that true sermon to the world, which his perfect Guru (Ggod) has given to him ||3||1||

The earth and the sky is in bloom with the Divine Light.
ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨਾਲ) ਖਿੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਆਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥੧॥
ghat ghat ma-oli-aa aatam pargaas. ||1||
Each and every heart is bloomed with the divine light of God. ||1||
ਹਰੇਕ ਘਟ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਮਉਲਿਆ ਅਨਤ ਭਾਇ ॥
raajaa raam ma-oli-aa anat bhaa-ay.
God, the sovereign king, is blooming (illuminating the universe) in limitless ways.
(ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ) ਜੋਤ-ਸਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਆਪਣੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਹ ਦੇਖਉ ਤਹ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jah daykh-a-u tah rahi-aa samaa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Wherever I look I experience Him pervading there. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਧਰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਧਰ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਭਰਪੂਰ (ਦਿੱਸਦਾ) ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਦੁਤੀਆ ਮਉਲੇ ਚਾਰਿ ਬੇਦ ॥
dutee-aa ma-ulay chaar bayd.
Secondly (I see that because of His light) all the four Vedas came into existence.
ਦੂਜੀ ਗੱਲ (ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਨਿਰੀ ਧਰਤ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ) ਚਾਰੇ ਵੇਦ ਵੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ l
ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਮਉਲੀ ਸਿਉ ਕਤੇਬ ॥੨॥
simrit ma-ulee si-o katayb. ||2||
The Simritis along with Koran and the Bible also came into existence because of God’s light. ||2||
ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨੀ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕ-ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਸੰਕਰੁ ਮਉਲਿਓ ਜੋਗ ਧਿਆਨ ॥
sankar ma-uli-o jog Dhi-aan.
Even the lord Shiva, who remains meditating in yoga, is also rejoicing.
ਜੋਗ-ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਭੀ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਜੋਤ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਖਿੜਿਆ।
ਕਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭ ਸਮਾਨ ॥੩॥੧॥
kabeer ko su-aamee sabh samaan. ||3||1||
The Master-God of Kabir is equally pervading in all. ||3||1||
ਕਬੀਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ (-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਸਭ ਥਾਂ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਖਿੜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥੧॥
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਜਨ ਮਾਤੇ ਪੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਪੁਰਾਨ ॥
pandit jan maatay parhH puraan.
The Pandits have become arrogant by reading the Puraanas (Hindu scriptures).
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਲੋਕ ਪੁਰਾਨ (ਆਦਿਕ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ) ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ;
ਜੋਗੀ ਮਾਤੇ ਜੋਗ ਧਿਆਨ ॥
jogee maatay jog Dhi-aan.
The Yogis are intoxicated in Yoga and meditation.
ਜੋਗੀ ਜੋਗ-ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਵਿਚ ਮੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,
ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਮਾਤੇ ਅਹੰਮੇਵ ॥

The recluses are intoxicated in egotism.
ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ (ਸੰਨਿਆਸ ਦੇ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ;
ਤਪਸੀ ਮਾਤੇ ਤਪ ਕੈ ਭੇਵ ॥੧॥
tapsee maatay tap kai bhayv. ||1||
The penitents are intoxicated with the thought that, they have found the mystery of penance. ||1||
ਤਪੀ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮਸਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਪ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸਭ ਮਦ ਮਾਤੇ ਕੋਊ ਨ ਜਾਗ ॥
sabh mad maatay ko-oo na jaag.
Everyone is intoxicated in the ego of one thing or the other, and nobody is awake and aware of their vices.
ਸਭ ਜੀਵ (ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ) ਮੱਤੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ (ਦਿੱਸਦਾ)।
ਸੰਗ ਹੀ ਚੋਰ ਘਰੁ ਮੁਸਨ ਲਾਗ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sang hee chor ghar musan laag. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The thieves (vices) are robbing them of their virtues. ||1||Pause||
ਤੇ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੀ (ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਚੋਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ (ਹਿਰਦਾ-ਰੂਪ) ਘਰ ਲੁੱਟ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਾਗੈ ਸੁਕਦੇਉ ਅਰੁ ਅਕੂਰੁ ॥
jaagai sukday-o ar akoor.
The sages like Sukdev and Akrur are awake and aware of the ill effects of materialism.
(ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜਾਗੇ, ਵਿਰਲੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ); ਜਾਗਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੁਕਦੇਵ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਅਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਭਗਤ;
