The Japji Sahib is a hymn written by Guru Nanak, and is the first of the Sikh Gurus. It is a prayer that is taken with great spiritual importance among Sikhs. The Japji Sahib is not included in the Guru Granth Sahib but appears as the preface suned with the salok which has two lines, thirty-eight pauris or stanzas which follow afterward.
