ਸਤਗੁਰਿ ਦਯਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜੑਾਯਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਵਸਿ ਪੰਚ ਕਰੇ ॥
satgur da-yaal har naam darirh-aa-yaa tis parsaad vas panch karay.
The merciful true Guru Amardas has firmly implanted God’s Name within Guru Ramdas and by God’s grace he has controlled the five evil impulses.
ਦਇਆਲ ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ); ਉਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ) ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਵਿ ਕਲ੍ ਠਕੁਰ ਹਰਦਾਸ ਤਨੇ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਰ ਅਭਰ ਭਰੇ ॥੩॥
kav kal-y thakur hardaas tanay gur raamdaas sar abhar bharay. ||3||
O’ poet Kall! Guru Ramdas, the son of Thakur Hardas, fills the empty hearts with the nectar of Naam. ||3||
ਹੇ ਕਲ੍ ਕਵੀ! ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ) ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਰੋਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਅਨਭਉ ਉਨਮਾਨਿ ਅਕਲ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਸਹਜ ਘਰੇ ॥
anbha-o unmaan akal liv laagee paaras bhayti-aa sahj gharay.
Guru Ramdas has received divine wisdom through experience and he is focused on God; he has met Guru Amardas who is like a paras (mythical philosopher’sstone), and has attained a state of spiritual poise.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, (ਆਪ ਦੀ) ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ) ਪਾਰਸ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਸਹਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਪੜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਯਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਭਰੇ ॥
satgur parsaad param pad paa-yaa bhagat bhaa-ay bhandaar bharay.
By the grace of the true Guru (Amardas), Guru ramdas has attained supreme spiritual state and his treasures are filled with the love for devotional worship.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਭਰੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਮੇਟਿਆ ਜਨਮਾਂਤੁ ਮਰਣ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਰੇ ॥
mayti-aa janmaaNt maran bha-o bhaagaa chit laagaa santokh saray.
Guru Ramdas has eradicated his cycle of birth and death, his fear of death has disappeared and his mind is attached to God, the ocean of contentment.
ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣਾ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਮਿਟਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ) ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਚੁਕਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਚਿੱਤ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਕਵਿ ਕਲ੍ ਠਕੁਰ ਹਰਦਾਸ ਤਨੇ ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਸਰ ਅਭਰ ਭਰੇ ॥੪॥

ਹੇ ਕਲ੍ ਕਵੀ! ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ (ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਰੂਪ) ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਸਰੋਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ॥੪॥
ਅਭਰ ਭਰੇ ਪਾਯਉ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਓ ॥
abhar bharay paa-ya-o apaar rid antar Dhaari-o.
Guru Ramdas has realized and enshrined in his heart that infinite God who fills the empty hearts with Naam,
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ) ਖ਼ਾਲੀ ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹਰੀ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਆਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ॥
dukh bhanjan aatam parboDh man tat beechaari-o.
and has reflected in his mind on God who destroys our sorrows and spiritually awakens us.
(ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਉਸ) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ (ਜੋ) ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਜਗਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਦਾ ਚਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਣਇ ॥
sadaa chaa-ay har bhaa-ay paraym ras aapay jaan-ay.
Guru Ramdas always remains delighted with God’s love and only he himself knows the bliss of this love.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਨਿੱਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ), ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ (ਮਸਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ) ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਹਜ ਸੇਤੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣਇ ॥
satgur kai parsaad sahj saytee rang maan-ay.
By the grace of the true Guru (Amardas), Guru Ram das is enjoying the bliss of God’s love in the state of spiritual poise.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਸਤਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅੰਗਦ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਮਰਿ ਅਮਰੁ ਵਰਤਾਇਓ ॥
naanak parsaad angad sumat gur amar amar vartaa-i-o.
Guru Amardas has executed God’s command through Guru Nanak’s grace and the sublime intellect blessed by Guru Angad.
(ਗੁਰੂ) ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ) ਅੰਗਦ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ, ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਲੵੁਚਰੈ ਤੈਂ ਅਟਲ ਅਮਰ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੫॥
gur raamdaas kal-yuchrai taiN atal amar pad paa-i-o. ||5||
Bart Kall says, O’ Guru Ramdas, you have attained the eternal and immortal status of the Divine Guru.||5||
ਕਲ੍ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ) ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀਅਬਿਨਾਸੀਪਦਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਰੋਵਰਿ ਬਸੈ ਅਮਿਅ ਰਸੁ ਰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੈ ॥
santokh sarovar basai ami-a ras rasan parkaasai.
Guru Ramdas always remains so pleased, as if he abides in a pool of contentment and his tongue reveals the taste of the ambrosial nectar of Naam.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਸੰਤੋਖ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ) ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਿਲਤ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਉਪਜੈ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਦੂਰੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
milat saaNt upjai durat doorantar naasai.
Upon visualizing his blessed vision, peace wells up and sin flees far away.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਠੰਢ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਹੀ (ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਪਾਇਅਉ ਦਿੰਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਗਿ ਨ ਹੁਟੈ ॥
sukh saagar paa-i-a-o binn har mag na hutai.
Guru Ramdas has realized God, an ocean of spiritual peace, and he never feels tired of walking the path of God.
ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਗਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਥੱਕਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਜਮੁ ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਸੀਲ ਸੰਨਾਹੁ ਮਫੁਟੈ ॥
sanjam sat santokh seel sannahu mafutai.
Guru Ramdas never loses self-restraint, truth, contentment and humility, as if he wears the armor of these virtues which cannot be penetrated.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ) ਸੰਜਮ ਸਤ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਤੇ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ-ਰੂਪ ਸੰਜੋਅ (ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ) ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ l
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੁ ਬਿਧ ਨੈ ਸਿਰਿਉ ਜਗਿ ਜਸ ਤੂਰੁ ਬਜਾਇਅਉ ॥
satgur parmaan biDh nai siri-o jag jas toor bajaa-i-a-o.
The Creator has created Guru Ramdas as an exemplary Guru, and has sounded the trumpet of his glory in the world.
ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੀਕਗੁਰੂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀਸੋਭਾ ਦਾ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਜਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਲੵੁਚਰੈ ਤੈ ਅਭੈ ਅਮਰ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥੬॥
gur raamdaas kal-yuchrai tai abhai amar pad paa-i-a-o. ||6||
Bart Kall says, O’ Guru Ramdas, you have attained the state of fearlessness and immortality. ||6||
ਕਲ੍ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ “ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ! ਤੂੰ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ” ॥੬॥
ਜਗੁ ਜਿਤਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਯਉ ॥
jag jita-o satgur parmaan man ayk Dhi-aa-ya-o.
Guru Ramdas lovingly remembered God in his mind and conquered the world like the exemplary true Guru Amardas.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ) ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਵਾਂਗ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇੱਕ (ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ) ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਧਨਿ ਧਨਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਮਰਦਾਸੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਯਉ ॥
Dhan Dhan satgur amardaas jin naam darirhaa-ya-o.
Extremely praise-worthy is the true Guru Amardas who has firmly implanted God’s Name in Guru Ramdas.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਧੰਨਤਾਯੋਗ, ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਦਾਸੀ ॥
nav niDh naam niDhaan riDh siDh taa kee daasee.
Guru Ramdas has attained the wealth of Naam which is like the nine treasures of the world, all the prosperity and miraculous powers are his servants.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਮਾਨੋ) ਨੌ ਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਭ ਰਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਸਹਜ ਸਰੋਵਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
sahj sarovar mili-o purakh bhayti-o abhinaasee.
Guru Ramdas has realized the all pervading eternal God, the ocean of spiritual poise.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ) ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹਰੀ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਬਿਨਾਸ਼ੀ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਆਦਿ ਲੇ ਭਗਤ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਗਿ ਤਰੇ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਅਉ ॥
aad lay bhagat jit lag taray so gur naam darirhaa-i-a-o.
Guru Amardas has firmly implanted Naam in Guru Ramdas, attached to which the devotees have crossed over the world-ocean of vices since ancient times.
ਜਿਸ (ਨਾਮ) ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਭਗਤ ਤਰਦੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਰੂ (ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਨੇ (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ) ਨੂੰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਲੵੁਚਰੈ ਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥੭॥
gur raamdaas kal-yuchrai tai har paraym padaarath paa-i-a-o. ||7||
Kall says! O’ Guru Ramdas, you have received the wealth of God’s love. ||7||
ਕਲ੍ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ! ‘ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ! ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ (ਉੱਤਮ) ਪਦਾਰਥ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ’ ॥੭॥
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਪੁਬਲੀ ਨ ਹੁਟਇ ॥
paraym bhagat parvaah pareet publee na hut-ay.
The streams of loving devotional worship are flowing within the heart of Guru Ramdas, his love for God which began ages ago never ceases.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਪਿਆਰ-ਭਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ) ਪੂਰਬਲੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ (ਹੈ ਉਹ) ਮੁੱਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ;
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਅਮਿਅ ਧਾਰਾ ਰਸੁ ਗੁਟਇ ॥
satgur sabad athaahu ami-a Dhaaraa ras gut-ay.
Guru Ramdas is enjoying the unfathomable word of the true Guru, as if he is drinking the ambrosial nectar of Naam in big gulps.
ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਅਥਾਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਗਟ ਗਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਤਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਰਿ ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਯਉ ॥
mat maataa santokh pitaa sar sahj samaa-ya-o.
Guru Ramdas is so wise and is always content, as if wisdom were his mother and contentment his father, and he is merged in the ocean of spiritual poise.
ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਸੰਤੋਖੀ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਮੱਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਮਾਤਾਤੇ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਸਦਾਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਵਿਚ ਚੁੱਭੀ ਲਾਈ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਜੋਨੀ ਸੰਭਵਿਅਉ ਜਗਤੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਤਰਾਯਉ ॥
aajonee sambhvi-a-o jagat gur bachan taraa-ya-o.
Guru Ramdas is the embodiment of God who is beyond incarnations and is self-revealed; he has emancipated the world through the Guru’s word.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਜੂਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਤੇ ਸੁਤੇ-ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪ ਨੇ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਬਿਗਤ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਅਪਰਪਰੁ ਮਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸਾਇਅਉ ॥
abigat agochar aparpar man gur sabad vasaa-i-a-o.
Guru Ramdas has enshrined the Guru’s word in his mind, and he is the embodiment of the invisible, incomprehensible, and limitless God.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ) ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। (ਆਪ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਲੵੁਚਰੈ ਤੈ ਜਗਤ ਉਧਾਰਣੁ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥੮॥
gur raamdaas kal-yuchrai tai jagat uDhaaran paa-i-a-o. ||8||
Kall says! O’ Guru Ramdas, you have realized God, the savior of the world. ||8||
ਕਲ੍ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ! ‘ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ! ਤੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ’ ॥੮॥
ਜਗਤ ਉਧਾਰਣੁ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਭਗਤਹ ਭਵ ਤਾਰਣੁ ॥
jagat uDhaaran nav niDhaan bhagtah bhav taaran.
God’s Name, which is like the nine treasures of the world, can emancipate the entire world, carries the devotees across the world-ocean of vices,
ਜੋ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਾਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ, ਜੋ ਨਿਧਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਮ੍ਰਥ ਹੈ,
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੂੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਸੁ ਕੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਨਿਵਾਰਣੁ ॥
amrit boond har naam bis kee bikhai nivaaran.
and can rid the entire world of its evils which are the poison for spirituality; Guru Ramdas has the drop of that ambrosial nectar of God’s Name.
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਹੁ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਹਰੀ- ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੂੰਦ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ) ਹੈ,
ਸਹਜ ਤਰੋਵਰ ਫਲਿਓ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲ ਲਾਗੇ ॥
sahj tarovar fali-o gi-aan amrit fal laagay.
Guru Ramdas is like a tree of spiritual poise, which has come to fruition and is laden with the ambrosial fruits of divine knowledge.
ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਦਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਫਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ਧੰਨਿ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਬਡਭਾਗੇ ॥
gur parsaad paa-ee-ah Dhan tay jan badbhaagay.
It is only by the Guru’s grace that we obtain these fruits, and blessed are those who have received it.
(ਇਹ ਫਲ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ, (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ)।
ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੇ ਭਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਚਾ ਪਾਇਅਉ ॥
tay muktay bha-ay satgur sabad man gur parchaa paa-i-a-o.
Those people who have developed love for Guru Ramdas in their mind, are emancipated by following the Guru’s word.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਲੵੁਚਰੈ ਤੈ ਸਬਦ ਨੀਸਾਨੁ ਬਜਾਇਅਉ ॥੯॥
gur raamdaas kal-yuchrai tai sabad neesaan bajaa-i-a-o. ||9||
Kall says, O’ Guru Ramdas, you have beaten the drum of the divine word. ||9||
ਕਲ੍ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ! ਤੂੰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਨਗਾਰਾ ਵਜਾਇਆ ਹੈ’ ॥੯॥
