ਦੁਖ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਸੁਖ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
dukh bisaar sukh antar leenaa. ||1||
By forsaking worldly sorrows, I am absorbed in celestial peace. ||1||
ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ, ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਸੁਖ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥
ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
gi-aan anjan mo ka-o gur deenaa.
The Guru has blessed me with such a spiritual wisdom,
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ (ਐਸਾ) ਸੁਰਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਮਨ ਹੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
raam naam bin jeevan man heenaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
that, O’ my mind, life seems meaningless without lovingly remembering God. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿ ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੀਊਣਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਨਾਮਦੇਇ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥
naamday-ay simran kar jaanaaN.
I, Nam Dev, has realized God by remembering Him with adoration,
ਮੈਂ ਨਾਮਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ,
ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਸਿਉ ਜੀਉ ਸਮਾਨਾਂ ॥੨॥੧॥
jagjeevan si-o jee-o samaanaaN. ||2||1||
and now my mind has merged in God, the life of the world. ||2||1||
ਤੇ ਜਗਤ-ਦੇ-ਆਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧॥

ਰਾਗ ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਤ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ।
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the True Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਦਾਰਿਦੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਭ ਕੋ ਹਸੈ ਐਸੀ ਦਸਾ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥
daarid daykh sabh ko hasai aisee dasaa hamaaree.
People smile looking at others in poverty and adversity; such was my condition too, that everyone laughed at me.
ਹਰੇਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੀ ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ ਤੇ ਠੱਠੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ),
ਅਸਟ ਦਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਰ ਤਲੈ ਸਭ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
asat dasaa siDh kar talai sabh kirpaa tumaaree. ||1||
But now, I hold the eighteen miraculous powers in the palm of my hand; O’ God! all this is because of Your mercy. ||1||
ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਤਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ (ਨੱਚਦੀਆਂ) ਹਨ; ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਤੂ ਜਾਨਤ ਮੈ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਭਵ ਖੰਡਨ ਰਾਮ ॥
too jaanat mai kichh nahee bhav khandan raam.
O’ God, the destroyer of the cycle of births and deaths, You know that I have no power or strength of my own.
ਹੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ-ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਮ! ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਂਇਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਸਗਲ ਜੀਅ ਸਰਨਾਗਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
sagal jee-a sarnaagatee parabh pooran kaam. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God! the fulfiller of the desires of everyone, all human beings come to Your refuge. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਆ ਜੰਤ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਮੈਂ ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਹਾਂ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨਾਗਤਾ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਭਾਰੁ ॥
jo tayree sarnaagataa tin naahee bhaar.
O’ God, all those who come to Your refuge, do not carry any load of sins.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ) ਉੱਤੋਂ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ) ਭਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਤੁਮ ਤੇ ਤਰੇ ਆਲਜੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
ooch neech tum tay taray aalaj sansaar. ||2||
People belonging to high or low status swim across the miserable world-ocean of vices only by Your grace. ||2||
ਚਾਹੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣ, ਚਾਹੇ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਦੇ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਬਖੇੜਿਆਂ-ਭਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ -ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਬਹੁ ਕਾਇ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥
kahi ravidaas akath kathaa baho kaa-ay kareejai.
Ravidass says, O’ God! even if we try our best,Your indescribable virtues are beyond description.
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿਤਨਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰੀਏ, ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਕਹੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ;
ਜੈਸਾ ਤੂ ਤੈਸਾ ਤੁਹੀ ਕਿਆ ਉਪਮਾ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੩॥੧॥
jaisaa too taisaa tuhee ki-aa upmaa deejai. ||3||1||
O’ God! You alone are like Yourself, there is none else in the universe with whom can we compare You. ||3||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਆਪਣੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ; (ਜਗਤ) ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ ॥੩॥੧॥

Raag Bilaaval:
ਜਿਹ ਕੁਲ ਸਾਧੁ ਬੈਸਨੌ ਹੋਇ ॥
jih kul saaDh baisnou ho-ay.
That family, into which a devotee of God is born,
ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ਕੁਲ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਭਗਤ ਜੰਮ ਪਏ,
ਬਰਨ ਅਬਰਨ ਰੰਕੁ ਨਹੀ ਈਸੁਰੁ ਬਿਮਲ ਬਾਸੁ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਜਗਿ ਸੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
baran abran rank nahee eesur bimal baas jaanee-ai jag so-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Whether of high or low social class, whether rich or poor, his immaculate glory spreads all over the world like a fragrance. ||1||Pause||
ਚਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਜਾਤ ਦਾ ਹੈ ਚਾਹੇ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤ ਦਾ, ਚਾਹੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਹੈ ਚਾਹੇ ਧਨਾਢ, ਉਹ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਭਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਨ ਬੈਸ ਸੂਦ ਅਰੁ ਖ੍ਯ੍ਯਤ੍ਰੀ ਡੋਮ ਚੰਡਾਰ ਮਲੇਛ ਮਨ ਸੋਇ ॥
barahman bais sood ar kha-ytaree dom chandaar malaychh man so-ay.
No matter, whether one is a Brahmin, vaish (business man), Shudra (service man), Kshatriya (warrior), a bard or a evil minded person,
ਕੋਈ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਹੋਵੇ, ਖੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਡੂਮ ਚੰਡਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਮਲੀਨ ਮਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ,
ਹੋਇ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਭਜਨ ਤੇ ਆਪੁ ਤਾਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਕੁਲ ਦੋਇ ॥੧॥
ho-ay puneet bhagvant bhajan tay aap taar taaray kul do-ay. ||1||
he becomes immaculate by remembering God with loving devotion; he saves himself and his lineages of his both parents. ||1||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਭੀ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁ ਗਾਉ ਧੰਨਿ ਸੋ ਠਾਉ ਧੰਨਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਭ ਲੋਇ ॥
Dhan so gaa-o Dhan so thaa-o Dhan puneet kutamb sabh lo-ay.
Blessed is that village, blessed is that place in the world and blessed is the immaculate family of the one,
ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੁਲ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਨਿ ਪੀਆ ਸਾਰ ਰਸੁ ਤਜੇ ਆਨ ਰਸ ਹੋਇ ਰਸ ਮਗਨ ਡਾਰੇ ਬਿਖੁ ਖੋਇ ॥੨॥
jin pee-aa saar ras tajay aan ras ho-ay ras magan daaray bikh kho-ay. ||2||
who drinks in the sublime essence of God’s Name and abandons worldly tastes; remaining absorbed in the divine essence, he discards the love for Maya. ||2||
(ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਜੰਮ ਕੇ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਰਸ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ (ਮੰਦੇ) ਰਸ ਛਡੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ (ਵਿਕਾਰ-ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਦਾ) ਜ਼ਹਿਰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਸੂਰ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਰਾਜਾ ਭਗਤ ਬਰਾਬਰਿ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
pandit soor chhatarpat raajaa bhagat baraabar a-or na ko-ay.
Whether one is a Pundit, warrior, or a great king, but none of them is equal to the devotee of God.
ਭਾਰਾ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਚਾਹੇ ਸੂਰਮਾ, ਚਾਹੇ ਛੱਤਰਪਤੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਜੈਸੇ ਪੁਰੈਨ ਪਾਤ ਰਹੈ ਜਲ ਸਮੀਪ ਭਨਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜਨਮੇ ਜਗਿ ਓਇ ॥੩॥੨॥
jaisay purain paat rahai jal sameep bhan ravidaas janmay jag o-ay. ||3||2||
Ravidass says, just as water lily survives only near water; similarly blessed is the advent of those in the world, who spiritually survive in God’s presence. ||3||2||
ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚੁਪੱਤੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹੀ (ਹਰੀ) ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਉਹਨਾ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਜੰਮਣਾ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਊ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੩॥੨॥

ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੰਨਿਆ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨੈ ਇਕੁ ਭਇਆ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ॥
nrip kanniaa kay kaarnai ik bha-i-aa bhaykh-Dhaaree.
To entice the daughter of a king, a person disguised himself as a religious person;
ਇੱਕ ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ (ਧਰਮ ਦਾ) ਭੇਖ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ;
ਕਾਮਾਰਥੀ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਵਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥
kaamaarathee su-aarthee vaa kee paij savaaree. ||1||
O’ God! You saved the honor of even that selfish sex maniac. ||1||
ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਾਮੀ ਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਦਗ਼ਰਜ਼ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਮ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ) ॥੧॥
ਤਵ ਗੁਨ ਕਹਾ ਜਗਤ ਗੁਰਾ ਜਉ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਨਾਸੈ ॥
tav gun kahaa jagat guraa ja-o karam na naasai.
O’ God, the Guru of the world, what is the use of coming to Your refuge, if the effect of my past misdeeds is not going to be erased?
ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਨਾਸ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਗੁਣ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ?
ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨ ਕਤ ਜਾਈਐ ਜਉ ਜੰਬੁਕੁ ਗ੍ਰਾਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
singh saran kat jaa-ee-ai ja-o jaNbuk garaasai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Similarly why should one seek protection from a lion, if one is going to be eaten by a jackal anyway? ||1||Pause||
ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਲਾਭ, ਜੇ ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਗਿੱਦੜ ਖਾ ਜਾਏ? ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਏਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਜਲ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
ayk boond jal kaarnay chaatrik dukh paavai.
O’ God, for the sake of a drop of water, Chatrik (songbird) suffers in pain,
ਪਪੀਹਾ ਜਲ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਕੂਕਦਾ ਹੈ;)
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਗਏ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
paraan ga-ay saagar milai fun kaam na aavai. ||2||
after losing its life, the entire ocean will be of no use to it, similarly after my vices have killed me, then Your help wouldn’t be of any use to me. ||2||
ਪਰ ਉਡੀਕ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਚਲੀ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਭੀ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ; ਤਿਵੇਂ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ ਬੂੰਦ ਖੁਣੋਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਰ ਹੀ ਗਈ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀਹ ਸਵਾਰੇਗਾ? ॥੨॥
ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਜੁ ਥਾਕੇ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੈਸੇ ਬਿਰਮਾਵਉ ॥
paraan jo thaakay thir nahee kaisay birmaava-o.
Now, my life has grown weary, and I shall not last much longer; how can I solace myself?
ਹੁਣ ਜਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਨਾ, ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧੀਰਜ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਬੂਡਿ ਮੂਏ ਨਉਕਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਕਹੁ ਕਾਹਿ ਚਢਾਵਉ ॥੩॥
bood moo-ay na-ukaa milai kaho kaahi chadhaava-o. ||3||
O’ God! if after I am drowned in this worldly ocean of vices and then a boat comes along, tell me how I would ride on it. ||3||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਹੀ ਗਿਆ, ਤੇ ਪਿਛੋਂ ਬੇੜੀ ਮਿਲੀ, ਤਾਂ, ਦੱਸ, ਉਸ ਬੇੜੀ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਂਗਾ? ॥੩॥
ਮੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਛੁ ਹਉ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਆਹਿ ਨ ਮੋਰਾ ॥
mai naahee kachh ha-o nahee kichh aahi na moraa.
O’ God, I am nothing, I have nothing and have no other support,
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਂਇਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ;
ਅਉਸਰ ਲਜਾ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸਧਨਾ ਜਨੁ ਤੋਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
a-osar lajaa raakh layho saDhnaa jan toraa. ||4||1||
I only ask that You please save my honor at this occasion (human life), because Sadna is a devotee of Yours. ||4||1||
(ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਹੀ) ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਸਧਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖ (ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਡੁੱਬਣ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ) ॥੪॥੧॥
