ਕਹਾ ਕਰੈ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਚਾਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾ ਬਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥
kahaa karai ko-ee baychaaraa parabh mayray kaa bad partaap. ||1||
The power of my God is so great, what can these vices do to me? ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੜੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੈ, (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਵਿਗਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ? ॥੧॥
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਰਖੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
simar simar simar sukh paa-i-aa charan kamal rakh man maahee.
By enshrining God’s immaculate Name within my mind and always remembering Him with adoration, I have received celestial peace.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੯੮॥
taa kee saran pari-o naanak daas jaa tay oopar ko naahee. ||2||12||98||
Devotee Nanak has sought the refuge of God, there is none greater than Him. ||2||12||98||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੯੮॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਪੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮ ॥
sadaa sadaa japee-ai parabh naam.
O’ my friend, we should always remember God’s Name with adoration;
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਰਾ ਮਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਆਗੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
jaraa maraa kachh dookh na bi-aapai aagai dargeh pooran kaam. ||1|| rahaa-o.
by doing so, no pain of old age or death afflict and hereafter all affairs are successfully resolved in God’s presence. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਢੇਪਾ, ਮੌਤ ਜਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਕੁੱਝ ਭੀ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਪਰੀਐ ਨਿਤ ਸਰਨੀ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਈਐ ਏਹੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
aap ti-aag paree-ai nit sarnee gur tay paa-ee-ai ayhu niDhaan.
We should forsake our self-conceit and always follow the Guru’s teachings, because it is from him only that we receive this treasure of Naam.
ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਕਟੀਐ ਫਾਸੀ ਸਾਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਕਾ ਨੀਸਾਨੁ ॥੧॥
janam maran kee katee-ai faasee saachee dargeh kaa neesaan. ||1||
The noose of birth and death is snapped with the help of Naam; Naam is the insignia to be in the presence of eternal God. ||1||
ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ; ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੈ, ॥੧॥
ਜੋ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਉ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੈ ਸਗਲ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥
jo tumH karahu so-ee bhal maan-o man tay chhootai sagal gumaan.
(O’ God, bestow mercy so that) whatever You do, I may accept as good and my mind may become free of all egotistical pride.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਤਾਂਕਿ) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਏ l
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਸਗਲ ਜਹਾਨੁ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੯੯॥
kaho naanak taa kee sarnaa-ee jaa kaa kee-aa sagal jahaan. ||2||13||99||
Nanak says, we should remain in the refuge of that God who created the entire universe. ||2||13||99||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੯੯॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਹੀ ॥
man tan antar parabh aahee.
O’ my friend, one who realizes the presence of God within his mind and heart,
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਨਿਤ ਤਿਸੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਕਾ ਮੋਲੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
har gun gaavat par-upkaar nit tis rasnaa kaa mol kichh naahee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
he always sings the Praises of God and always does good for others; his tongue is priceless. ||1||Pause||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜੀਭ੍ਹਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕੁਲ ਸਮੂਹ ਉਧਰੇ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਹੀ ॥
kul samooh uDhray khin bheetar janam janam kee mal laahee.
All their generations also sing the praises of God and are emancipated in an instant, and the filth of sins of countless births is washed away from their mind;
ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਧੋਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ;
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਅਨਦ ਸੇਤੀ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਨੁ ਗਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
simar simar su-aamee parabh apnaa anad saytee bikhi-aa ban gaahee. ||1||
they blissfully pass through the worldly forest of Maya, worldly riches and power, by always remembering their Master-God with adoration ||1||
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ- ਜੰਗਲ ਤੋਂ ਬੜੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਚਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੇ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਪਾਏ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਹੀ ॥
charan parabhoo kay bohith paa-ay bhav saagar paar paraahee.
God’s immaculate Name is like a ship, those who receive Naam (from the Guru), cross over the terrifying world-ocean of vices.
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੰਤ ਸੇਵਕ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਹੀ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੧੦੦॥
sant sayvak bhagat har taa kay naanak man laagaa hai taahee. ||2||14||100||
O’ Nanak, they alone are the saints and devotees of God, whose mind remains attuned to Him. ||2||14||100||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਹਨ, ਭਗਤ ਹਨ, ਸੇਵਕ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੧੪॥੧੦੦॥

ਧੀਰਉ ਦੇਖਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
Dheera-o daykh tumHaaray rangaa.
O’ God, I find solace beholding Your wondrous plays.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਚੋਜ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਭੀ) ਹੌਸਲਾ ਬਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ l
ਤੁਹੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਤੂਹੀ ਵਸਹਿ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tuhee su-aamee antarjaamee toohee vaseh saaDh kai sangaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
O’ God, You alone are the omniscient Master; it is You alone who always dwell with Your saints. ||1||Pause||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਧੂ-ਜਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨੀਚ ਕੀਟ ਤੇ ਕਰਹਿ ਰਾਜੰਗਾ ॥੧॥
khin meh thaap nivaajay thaakur neech keet tay karahi raajangaa. ||1||
O’ God, in an instant, You establish and exalt a person and turn a worm- like a lowliest person into a king. ||1||
ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਤੂੰ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਕੀੜਿਆਂ (ਵਰਗੇ ਨਾਚੀਜ਼ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ) ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ (ਨੀਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਥਾਪਣਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮਾਣ-ਆਦਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ॥੧॥
ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਹੀਏ ਮੋਰੇ ਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਇਹੀ ਦਾਨੁ ਮੰਗਾ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੧੦੧॥
kabhoo na bisrai hee-ay moray tay naanak daas ihee daan mangaa. ||2||15||101||
O’ God, Your devotee Nanak begs only this blessing, that You may never be forgotten from my mind. ||2||15||101||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਖ਼ੈਰ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਾਹ ਭੁੱਲੇ ॥੨॥੧੫॥੧੦੧॥

ਅਚੁਤ ਪੂਜਾ ਜੋਗ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥
achut poojaa jog gopaal.
The eternal God, the master of the universe, is worthy of devotional worship.
ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਦਾ ਹੱਕਦਾਰ ਹੈ।
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਰਖਉ ਹਰਿ ਆਗੈ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man tan arap rakha-o har aagai sarab jee-aa kaa hai partipaal. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I surrender my mind and body before God; He is the sustainer of all beings. ||1||Pause||
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ (ਹੀ) ਰਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸਰਨਿ ਸਮ੍ਰਥ ਅਕਥ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਬਡੋ ਦਇਆਲ ॥
saran samrath akath sukh-daata kirpaa sinDh bado da-i-aal.
God is all-powerful to protect those who seek His refuge, He is indescribable, He is the provider of comforts, an ocean of mercy and very compassionate.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਦਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਬੜਾ ਹੀ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਇ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਤਾਤੀ ਬਾਲ ॥੧॥
kanth laa-ay raakhai apnay ka-o tis no lagai na taatee baal. ||1||
God keeps His devotee so close to Him, that even the slightest misery and anxiety cannot touch him. ||1||
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ-ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਰਤਾ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਦਾਮੋਦਰ ਦਇਆਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਧਨ ਮਾਲ ॥
daamodar da-i-aal su-aamee sarbas sant janaa Dhan maal.
O’ my friend, God is Merciful, He is the Master of all; He is the spiritual wealth, property and everything to His humble saints.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਮਾਲ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਦਰਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਗੈ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਰਵਾਲ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੧੦੨॥
naanak jaachik daras parabh maagai sant janaa kee milai ravaal. ||2||16||102||
Like a beggar, Nanak asks for the blessed vision of God and prays that he may be blessed with the most humble service of saintly persons. ||2||16||102||
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਦਰ) ਦਾ ਮੰਗਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦਾ ਖ਼ੈਰ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹੈ (ਅਤੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ) ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੧੦੨॥

Raag Bilaaval, Fifth Guru:
ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਕੋਟਿ ਜਤਨ ਭਏ ॥
simrat naam kot jatan bha-ay.
By remembering God’s Name with adoration one feels as if millions of efforts have been accomplished.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਉੱਦਮ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ਜਮਦੂਤਨ ਕਉ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਅਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
saaDhsang mil har gun gaa-ay jamdootan ka-o taraas ahay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The demons of death become afraid of that person who starts singing God’s praises in the company of the Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਜਮਦੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਪੈਂ ਗਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੇਤੇ ਪੁਨਹਚਰਨ ਸੇ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਗਹੇ ॥
jaytay punahcharan say keenHay man tan parabh kay charan gahay.
One who enshrines God’s immaculate Name in the mind and heart, feels as if he has performed all the deeds of atonement.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾ ਲਏ, ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਮਿਟਾਣ ਲਈ, ਮਾਨੋ) ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕਰਮ ਕਰ ਲਏ।
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਨਾਠਾ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਦਹੇ ॥੧॥
aavan jaan bharam bha-o naathaa janam janam kay kilvikh dahay. ||1||
His cycle of birth and death ended, doubt and dread vanished and sins of many births burnt down. ||1||
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੇੜ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਭਰਮ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਸੜ ਗਏ ॥੧॥
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹੋਇ ਭਜਹੁ ਜਗਦੀਸੈ ਏਹੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਲਹੇ ॥
nirbha-o ho-ay bhajahu jagdeesai ayhu padaarath vadbhaag lahay.
O’ my friend, become fearless and remember the God of the universe; this wealth of Naam is received only by great good fortune
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰੋ। ਇਹ ਨਾਮ-ਪਦਾਰਥ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
