ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
naanak je gurmukh karahi so parvaan hai jo naam rahay liv laa-ay. ||2||
O’ Nanak, because the Guru’s followers always remain attuned to Naam, so whatever they do is acceptable in God’s presence. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥

ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਕੰਉ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਿਖਾ ॥
ha-o balihaaree tinn kaN-u jo gurmukh sikhaa.
I am dedicated to those disciples who follow the Guru’s teachings.
ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਿਖਾ ॥
jo har naam Dhi-aa-iday tin darsan pikhaa.
I wish to behold the blessed vision of those who remember God with adoration.
ਜੋ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਜੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਾਂ,
ਸੁਣਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਮਨਿ ਲਿਖਾ ॥
sun keertan har gun ravaa har jas man likhaa.
By listening to God’s praises from them, I may utter God’s praises and may enshrine God’s glory in my mind.
(ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ-ਜਸ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਉੱਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ,
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੀ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕ੍ਰਿਖਾ ॥
har naam salaahee rang si-o sabh kilvikh krikhaa.
By singing God’s praises with love and devotion, I may uproot all my sins.
ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ ਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦਿਆਂ।
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਸੋ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਧਰੇ ਵਿਖਾ ॥੧੯॥
Dhan Dhan suhaavaa so sareer thaan hai jithai mayraa gur Dharay vikhaa. ||19||
Very blessed is that body in which abides my Guru’s teachings and love. ||19||
ਉਹ ਸਰੀਰ-ਥਾਂ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ, ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪੈਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੯॥

Shalok, Third Guru:
ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਨਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
gur bin gi-aan na hova-ee naa sukh vasai man aa-ay.
Without the Guru’s teachings, neither divine knowledge develops, nor peace comes to abide in the mind.
ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਾਹ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ-ਬੋਧ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਮਨਮੁਖੀ ਜਾਸਨਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੧॥
naanak naam vihoonay manmukhee jaasan janam gavaa-ay. ||1||
O Nanak, devoid of the wealth of Naam, the self-willed persons depart from the word after having wasted their lives. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣੇ (ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ-ਜਨਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਗਵਾ ਜਾਣਗੇ ॥੧॥

Third Mehl:
ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਨਾਵੈ ਨੋ ਸਭਿ ਖੋਜਦੇ ਥਕਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
siDh saaDhik naavai no sabh khojday thak rahay liv laa-ay.
All the ascetics and adepts seek Naam and they exhaust themselves trying to attune to God,
ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਧ ਤੇ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਖੋਜਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਗਏ l
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥
bin satgur kinai na paa-i-o gurmukh milai milaa-ay.
No one has ever received Naam without the true Guru; yes, Naam is received only through the Guru by following his teachings.
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਕੇਵਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਖਾਣੁ ਸਭੁ ਬਾਦਿ ਹੈ ਧਿਗੁ ਸਿਧੀ ਧਿਗੁ ਕਰਮਾਤਿ ॥
bin naavai painan khaan sabh baad hai Dhig siDhee Dhig karmaat.
All the delicious food and expensive clothes are worthless without remembering Naam; devoid of Naam, accursed are the supernatural and miraculous powers.
ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਨਣਾ ਸਭ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ, (ਜੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ) ਉਹ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਤੇ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਿ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ।
ਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਸਾ ਕਰਮਾਤਿ ਹੈ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਦਾਤਿ ॥
saa siDh saa karmaat hai achint karay jis daat.
That indeed is the supernatural power and miracle, when the carefree God bestows the gift of Naam on someone.
ਇਹੀ (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਸਿੱਧੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹਰੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਦਾਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਏਹਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਏਹਾ ਕਰਮਾਤਿ ॥੨॥
naanak gurmukh har naam man vasai ayhaa siDh ayhaa karmaat. ||2||
O’ Nanak, this alone is the astonishing deed and the miracle when the presence of God in the mind is realized through the Guru’s teachings. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! “ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ”-ਇਹੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਤੇ ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

ਹਮ ਢਾਢੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਖਸਮ ਕੇ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਵਹ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਛੰਤਾ ॥
ham dhaadhee har parabh khasam kay nit gaavah har gun chhantaa.
We are the minstrel of the Master-God and we always sing the hymns of His praises.
ਅਸੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਖਸਮ ਦੇ ਢਾਢੀ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਕਰਹ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਣਹ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਵਲਾ ਕੰਤਾ ॥
har keertan karah har jas sunah tis kavlaa kantaa.
Yes, we sing the praises of God and listen to the praises of God, the Master of the goddess of wealth.
ਉਸ ਕਮਲਾਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਸ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਭਿਖਾਰੀਆ ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
har daataa sabh jagat bhikhaaree-aa mangat jan jantaa.
God alone is the benefactor and the entire world is the beggar; yes, all beings and creatures are beggars.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਿਖਾਰੀ ਹੈ, ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੋਇ ਵਿਚਿ ਪਾਥਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਮ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
har dayvhu daan da-i-aal ho-ay vich paathar kiram jantaa.
O’ God, becoming gracious, You give sustenance even to the insects and worms in rocks.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਕੀੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਦਿਆਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ॥੨੦॥
jan naanak naam Dhi-aa-i-aa gurmukh Dhanvantaa. ||20||
O’ Nanak, those who lovingly remember God through the Guru’s teachings are truly spiritually wealthy. ||20||
ਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ (ਅਸਲ) ਧਨੀ ਹਨ ॥੨੦॥

Shalok, Third Guru:
ਪੜਣਾ ਗੁੜਣਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥
parh-naa gurh-naa sansaar kee kaar hai andar tarisnaa vikaar.
Reading and reflecting on the scriptures with fire of worldly desires and vices in the mind are just worldly pursuits.
ਜੇਕਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਨਾ ਨਿਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ l
ਹਉਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਭਿ ਪੜਿ ਥਕੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥
ha-umai vich sabh parh thakay doojai bhaa-ay khu-aar.
People have grown weary of reading scriptures in egotism and are ruined through the love of duality.
ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਥੱਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਖ਼ੁਆਰ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸੋ ਪੜਿਆ ਸੋ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਬੀਨਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
so parhi-aa so pandit beenaa gur sabad karay veechaar.
Only that person is truly learned, sagacious, and a wise scholar who reflects on the Guru’s word.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਹੈ , ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਅੰਦਰੁ ਖੋਜੈ ਤਤੁ ਲਹੈ ਪਾਏ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
andar khojai tat lahai paa-ay mokh du-aar.
He who reflects on his inner self, understand the reality and finds a way to freedom from the yearning for worldly desires and vices;
ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਦਾ ਹੈ (ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਰਸਤਾ ਲਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
gun niDhaan har paa-i-aa sahj karay veechaar.
he reflects on the divine word in a state of equipoise and realizes God, the treasure of virtues.
ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ, ਹਰੀ, ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਧੰਨੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
Dhan vaapaaree naankaa jis gurmukh naam aDhaar. ||1||
O’ Nanak, blessed is that true merchant of Naam, who through the Guru receives Naam as his support. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Third Guru:
ਵਿਣੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰੇ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਿਝਈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕੋ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
vin man maaray ko-ay na sijh-ee vaykhhu ko liv laa-ay.
Let anyone focus his attention and find out that, without conquering the mind, no one ever succeeds in fulfilling the purpose of life.
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਵੇਖ ਲਵੋ, ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿੱਝਿਆ (ਭਾਵ, ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਘਾਲਿ ਥਾਇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਈ)।
ਭੇਖਧਾਰੀ ਤੀਰਥੀ ਭਵਿ ਥਕੇ ਨਾ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
bhaykh-Dhaaree teerthee bhav thakay naa ayhu man maari-aa jaa-ay.
The recluses in holy garbs are tired of making pilgrimages to sacred shrines; the mind cannot be conquerd this way.
ਭੇਖ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ (ਸਾਧੂ ਭੀ) ਤੀਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ, (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਇਹ ਮਨ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਏਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵਤੁ ਮਰੈ ਸਚਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
gurmukh ayhu man jeevat marai sach rahai liv laa-ay.
Only through the Guru’s teachings the mind gets detached from Maya, as if it has died while still living and remains attuned to the eternal God.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਜੀਊਂਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਮਲੁ ਇਉ ਉਤਰੈ ਹਉਮੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇ ॥੨॥
naanak is man kee mal i-o utrai ha-umai sabad jalaa-ay. ||2||
O Nanak, this is how the filth of vices from the mind is removed; the Guru’s word burns away the ego. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਸ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ (ਮਨ ਦੀ) ਹਉਮੈ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜੀ ਜਾਏ ॥੨॥

har har sant milhu mayray bhaa-ee har naam darirhaavahu ik kinkaa.
O’ Saints of God, my brothers, please meet with me and implant within me a bit of God’s Name.
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋਂ! ਇਕ ਕਿਣਕਾ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ) ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਾਵੋ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਨਾਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਪੜੁ ਪਹਿਰਹੁ ਖਿਮ ਕਾ ॥
har har seegaar banaavahu har jan har kaaparh pahirahu khim kaa.
O’ dear devotees of God, decorate your selves with the Name of God and wear the dress of forgiveness.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ ਜਨੋਂ! ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਵੋ, ਤੇ ਖਿਮਾ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਪਹਿਨੋ।
ਐਸਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਮ ਕਾ ॥
aisaa seegaar mayray parabh bhaavai har laagai pi-aaraa parim kaa.
This is the kind of decoration which pleases my God and He loves a devotee embellished with love.
ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰਿਆ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕਾਟੈ ਇਕ ਪਲਕਾ ॥
har har naam bolhu din raatee sabh kilbikh kaatai ik palkaa.
Day and night, utter God’s Name, which will destroy all the sins in an instant.
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੋ, ਇਕ ਪਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੱਟ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਉਪਰਿ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਿਣਕਾ ॥੨੧॥
har har da-i-aal hovai jis upar so gurmukh har jap jinkaa. ||21||
That Guru’s follower, unto whom God becomes merciful, wins the game of life by remembering God with loving devotion. ||21||
ਜਿਸ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਉਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਜਿੱਤ (ਕੇ) ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੧॥
