ਮਾਈ ਸੁਨਤ ਸੋਚ ਭੈ ਡਰਤ ॥
maa-ee sunat soch bhai darat.
O’ my mother, I become dreadful when I listen and think of death,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਤਾ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਮੌਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚਦੀ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤ੍ਰਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ,
ਮੇਰ ਤੇਰ ਤਜਉ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ਸਰਨਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਪਰਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
mayr tayr taja-o abhimaanaa saran su-aamee kee parat. ||1|| rahaa-o.
therefore, renouncing ‘mine and yours’ and egotism, I have sought the refuge of the Master-God. ||1||Pause||
ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਆਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਈ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਉ ਨਾਹਿ ਨ ਕਾ ਬੋਲ ਕਰਤ ॥
jo jo kahai so-ee bhal maan-o naahi na kaa bol karat.
Whatever my Husband-God says, I deem it as the best thing; I cheerfully obey His order and never say anything against His command.
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭਲਾ ਮੰਨਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਉਲਟ ਬੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਦੀ।
ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਬਿਸਰਉ ਹੀਏ ਮੋਰੇ ਤੇ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਜਾਈ ਹਉ ਮਰਤ ॥੧॥
nimakh na bisara-o hee-ay moray tay bisrat jaa-ee ha-o marat. ||1||
O’ my Master, do not go out of my mind even for an instant; forgetting You, I spiritually die. ||1||
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਪਰੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੋ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾਇਆਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਇਆਨਪ ਜਰਤ ॥
sukh-daa-ee pooran parabh kartaa mayree bahut i-aanap jarat.
That peace giving, all pervading Creator-God tolerates my lots of ignorance.
ਉਹ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਞਾਣਪੁਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਰਗੁਨਿ ਕਰੂਪਿ ਕੁਲਹੀਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਉ ਅਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਭਰਤ ॥੨॥੩॥
nirgun karoop kulheen naanak ha-o anad roop su-aamee bharat. ||2||3||
O’ Nanak, I am unvirtuous, not good looking and of low social status; but my Husband-God is the embodiment of bliss. ||2||3||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਣ-ਹੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਝੀ ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਕੁਲ ਭੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ; ਪਰ, ਮੇਰਾ ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੩॥

ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਸਦਹੂੰ ॥
man har keerat kar sadahooN.
O’ my mind, always sing praises of God.
ਹੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ! ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ।
ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਜਪਤ ਉਧਾਰੈ ਬਰਨ ਅਬਰਨਾ ਸਭਹੂੰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gaavat sunat japat uDhaarai baran abranaa sabhahooN. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Whether a person belongs to high or low social status, God emancipates all those who sing or listen to His praises and remember Him. ||1||Pause|
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਗਾਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਜਾਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋਣ ਜਾਂ ਨੀਵੀਂ ਜਾਤਿ ਵਾਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਤਹੀ ਸਮਾਇਓ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨੀ ਤਬਹੂੰ ॥
jah tay upji-o tahee samaa-i-o ih biDh jaanee tabahooN.
When a person keeps singing God’s praises then he understands that soul ultimately merges into the One from which it originated.
(ਜਦੋਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੀਏ) ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਧੀ ਸਮਝ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਂ ਜੀਵ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਹਾ ਜਹਾ ਇਹ ਦੇਹੀ ਧਾਰੀ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਕਬਹੂੰ ॥੧॥
jahaa jahaa ih dayhee Dhaaree rahan na paa-i-o kabahooN. ||1||
When ever the body was created, the soul has never been able to stay in that body forever. ||1||
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਥੇ ਠਹਿਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ॥੧॥
ਸੁਖੁ ਆਇਓ ਭੈ ਭਰਮ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹੂਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਬਹੂ ॥
sukh aa-i-o bhai bharam binaasay kirpaal hoo-ay parabh jabhoo.
When God becomes merciful, fears and doubts are dispelled and spiritual peace comes to dwell in the heart.
ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਨੰਦ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਭਰਮ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਜਿ ਲਬਹੂੰ ॥੨॥੪॥
kaho naanak mayray pooray manorath saaDhsang taj labahooN. ||2||4||
Nanak says, all my objectives have been fulfilled by renouncing greed in the holy congregation. ||2||4||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਲਚ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ॥੨॥੪॥

ਮਨ ਜਿਉ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਉ ॥
man ji-o apunay parabh bhaava-o.
O’ my mind, do only those things by which I may become pleasing to my God,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਵਾਂ!
ਨੀਚਹੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਅਤਿ ਨਾਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਬੁਲਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
neechahu neech neech at naanHaa ho-ay gareeb bulaava-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
even if I have to pray before Him in utmost humility by becoming the lowliest of the lowly and an extremely helpless. ||1||Pause||
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਨੀਵਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ, ਬਹੁਤ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਗ਼ਰੀਬ ਬਣ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਅਨਿਕ ਅਡੰਬਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬਿਰਥੇ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਘਟਾਵਉ ॥
anik adambar maa-i-aa kay birthay taa si-o pareet ghataava-o.
The many ostentatious shows of Maya, the worldly riches and power, are useless; I withhold my love for these.
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਖਿਲਾਰੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ ਇਹਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਜਿਉ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥
ji-o apuno su-aamee sukh maanai taa meh sobhaa paava-o. ||1||
Whatever pleases my Master-God, I feel honored in accepting that. ||1||
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ॥੧॥
ਦਾਸਨ ਦਾਸ ਰੇਣੁ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਵਉ ॥
daasan daas rayn daasan kee jan kee tahal kamaava-o.
I serve the devotees of God by becoming the humblest servant of His devotees.
ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨ-ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਬਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਵਉ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਬੁਲਾਵਉ ॥੨॥੫॥
sarab sookh badi-aa-ee naanak jeeva-o mukhahu bulaava-o. ||2||5||
O’ Nanak, I spiritually rejuvenate and receive all comforts and glory when I chant His Name with my mouth. ||2||5||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਲਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ ਤੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥੫॥

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤਉ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਡਾਰਿਓ ॥
parabh jee ta-o parsaad bharam daari-o.
O’ revered God, by Your grace, I have eradicated my doubt.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਅਪਨਾ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਇਹੈ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tumree kirpaa tay sabh ko apnaa man meh ihai beechaari-o. ||1|| rahaa-o.
By Your Mercy, I have resolved in my mind that everyone is my own. |1|Pause||
ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧ ਮਿਟੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਓ ॥
kot paraaDh mitay tayree sayvaa darsan dookh utaari-o.
O’ God, millions of my sins have been erased by performing Your devotional worship and I have driven away misery by Your blessed vision.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਪ ਮਿੱਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਲਾਹ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥
naam japat mahaa sukh paa-i-o chintaa rog bidaari-o. ||1||
I have enjoyed the supreme bliss by meditating on Naam and have dispelled the ailment of anxiety from my mind.||1||
ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਬੜਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਓ ॥
kaam kroDh lobh jhooth nindaa saaDhoo sang bisaari-o.
O’ God, in the company of the Guru, I have forsaken lust, anger, greed, falsehood, and slander.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਾਮ, ਕ੍ਰੋਧ, ਲੋਭ, ਝੂਠ, ਨਿੰਦਾ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਭੁਲਾ ਹੀ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਧ ਕਾਟੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਉਧਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥੬॥
maa-i-aa banDh kaatay kirpaa niDh naanak aap uDhaari-o. ||2||6||
O’ Nanak, God, the treasure of mercy, has cut away my bonds of Maya (the worldly riches and power) and has saved me from vices. ||2||6||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੬॥

ਮਨ ਸਗਲ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਰਹੀ ॥
man sagal si-aanap rahee.
O’ my mind, all the cleverness of a person ends,
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
karan karaavanhaar su-aamee naanak ot gahee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
who takes the support of that Master-God who is the doer and the cause of causes, O’ Nanak. |1||Pause||
ਜੋ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਕਰਾ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ!॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਆਪੁ ਮੇਟਿ ਪਏ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਇਹ ਮਤਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਕਹੀ ॥
aap mayt pa-ay sarnaa-ee ih mat saaDhoo kahee.
Those who followed the Guru’s teachings of abandoning their cleverness, erasing their self-conceit, they entered God’s refuge.
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਹ (ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ-ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ) ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਆ ਪਏ,
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਾਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਅਧੇਰਾ ਲਹੀ ॥੧॥
parabh kee aagi-aa maan sukh paa-i-aa bharam aDhayraa lahee. ||1||
By obeying God’s command, they enjoyed spiritual peace and their darkness of doubt is removed.||1||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਭਰਮ-ਰੂਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ॥੧॥
ਜਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਅਹੀ ॥
jaan parbeen su-aamee parabh mayray saran tumaaree ahee.
O’ sagacious Master-God, I have sought Your refuge.
ਹੇ ਸੁਜਾਨ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।
ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਹੀ ॥੨॥੭॥
khin meh thaap uthaapanhaaray kudrat keem na pahee. ||2||7||
O’ God, You have the power to establish and disestablish anything in an instant; the worth of Your almighty creative power cannot be estimated. ||2||7||
ਹੇ ਇਕ ਖਿਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਤੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੨॥੭॥

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥
har paraan parabhoo sukh-daatay.
O’ God, the giver of life and spiritual peace,
ਹੇ ਜਿੰਦ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਾਹੂ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur parsaad kaahoo jaatay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
by the Guru’s grace only a rare person has come to realize You. ||1||Pause||
ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਸੰਤ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਾਲ ਨ ਖਾਤੇ ॥
sant tumaaray tumray pareetam tin ka-o kaal na khaatay.
O’ God, Your saints are dear to You; they are not consumed by the fear of death.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਗਲਦੀ।
ਰੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਲਾਲ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਿ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੧॥
rang tumaarai laal bha-ay hai raam naam ras maatay. ||1||
They are imbued with Your deep Love and they remain absorbed in the sublime essence of Your Name. ||1||
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਲ ਹੋਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
