ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਇਆਲ ਓਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਮਿਹਰ ਪਾਇ ॥
bhagat tayray da-i-aal onHaa mihar paa-ay.
O’ Merciful God, You bless Your devotees with Your Grace.
ਹੇ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ;
ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਵਡ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਪੋਹੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਾਇ ॥
dookh darad vad rog na pohay tis maa-ay.
Suffering, pain, terrible disease and Maya does not afflict them.
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ, ਕੋਈ ਦੁਖ ਦਰਦ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਰੋਗ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਭਗਤਾ ਏਹੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗਾਇ ॥
bhagtaa ayhu aDhaar gun govind gaa-ay.
This is the support of the devotees, that they sing praises of God.
ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਇਹ (ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ) ਭਗਤਾਂ (ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ) ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ;
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਇਕੋ ਇਕੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥
sadaa sadaa din rain iko ik Dhi-aa-ay.
Forever and ever, day and night, they meditate on the One and Only God.
ਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰ ਸਿਮਰ ਕੇ,
ਪੀਵਤਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਨ ਨਾਮੇ ਰਹੇ ਅਘਾਇ ॥੧੪॥
peevat amrit naam jan naamay rahay aghaa-ay. ||14||
Drinking in the Ambrosial Amrit of the Naam, His humble servants remain satiated with the Naam. ||14||
ਨਾਮ-ਰੂਪ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰੱਜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧੪॥

Shalok, Fifth Guru:
ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਘਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਲਾਗਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਉ ॥
kot bighan tis laagtay jis no visrai naa-o.
Millions of obstacles stand in the way of one who forgets the Naam.
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਘਨ ਆ ਘੇਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਬਿਲਪਤੇ ਜਿਉ ਸੁੰਞੈ ਘਰਿ ਕਾਉ ॥੧॥
naanak an-din bilpatay ji-o sunjai ghar kaa-o. ||1||
O’ Nanak, night and day, he croaks like a raven in a deserted house (always searching for more). ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਅਜੇਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ) ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਇਉਂ ਵਿਲਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੁੰਞੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਂ ਲੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਓਥੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ) ॥੧॥

Fifth Guru:
ਪਿਰੀ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਜਾ ਥੀਐ ਸਾਈ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਰੁਤਿ ॥
piree milaavaa jaa thee-ai saa-ee suhaavee rut.
Beauteous is that season, when I am united with my Beloved.
ਉਹੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਮੇਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਘੜੀ ਮੁਹਤੁ ਨਹ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵੀਐ ਨਿਤ ॥੨॥
gharhee muhat nah veesrai naanak ravee-ai nit. ||2||
I do not forget Him for a moment or an instant; O’ Nanak, I contemplate Him constantly. ||2||
ਸੋ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ, ਕਦੇ ਘੜੀ ਦੋ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਹ ਭੁੱਲੇ ॥੨॥

ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਵਰੀਆਮ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਹੋੜੀਐ ॥ ਫਉਜ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਹਾਠ ਪੰਚਾ ਜੋੜੀਐ ॥
soorbeer varee-aam kinai na horhee-ai. fa-uj sataanee haath panchaa jorhee-ai.
Even brave and mighty men cannot withstand the powerful and overwhelming army which the five passions have gathered.
(ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ) ਬੜੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਤੇ ਬਹਾਦਰ (ਸਿਪਾਹੀ) ਹਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੱਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਬਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਹਠੀਲੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ,
ਦਸ ਨਾਰੀ ਅਉਧੂਤ ਦੇਨਿ ਚਮੋੜੀਐ ॥
das naaree a-uDhoot dayn chamorhee-ai.
The ten organs of sensation attach even detached renunciates to sensory pleasures.
(ਦੁਨੀਆਦਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਰਹੇ) ਤਿਆਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਭੀ) ਇਹ ਦਸ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਚਮੋੜ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਜਿਣਿ ਜਿਣਿ ਲੈਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਰਲਾਇ ਏਹੋ ਏਨਾ ਲੋੜੀਐ ॥
jin jin lainiH ralaa-ay ayho aynaa lorhee-ai.
They seek to conquer and overpower faculties, and so increase their following.
ਇਹ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ) ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਕਰੀ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬੱਸ! ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਲੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਇਨ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਮੋੜੀਐ ॥
tarai gun in kai vas kinai na morhee-ai.
All the mortals swayed by the three instincts (for vice, virtue, and power) are under their control; no one is able to turn them back.
ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਤ੍ਰੈਗੁਣੀ ਜੀਵ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਬਾਉ ਹੇਠ ਹਨ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਭਰਮੁ ਕੋਟੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਖਾਈ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤੋੜੀਐ ॥
bharam kot maa-i-aa khaa-ee kaho kit biDh torhee-ai.
So tell me – how can the fort of doubt and the moat of Maya be overcome?
(ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ) ਭਟਕਣਾ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ) ਖਾਈ। (ਇਹ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ) ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤੋੜਿਆ ਜਾਏ?
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਬਿਖਮ ਦਲੁ ਫੋੜੀਐ ॥
gur pooraa aaraaDh bikham dal forhee-ai.
Meditating on the Guru, this awesome force is subdued.
ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਕਰੜੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਸਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਰਹਾ ਕਰ ਜੋੜੀਐ ॥੧੫॥
ha-o tis agai din raat rahaa kar jorhee-ai. ||15||
I stand before Him, day and night, with my palms pressed together. ||15||
(ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ) ਮੈਂ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਰਹਾਂ ॥੧੫॥

Shalok, Fifth Guru:
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭੇ ਉਤਰਨਿ ਨੀਤ ਨੀਤ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥
kilvikh sabhay utran neet neet gun gaa-o.
All sins are washed away, by continually singing the God’s Glories.
ਰੋਜ਼ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਕੋਟਿ ਕਲੇਸਾ ਊਪਜਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਉ ॥੧॥
kot kalaysaa oopjahi naanak bisrai naa-o. ||1||
Millions of afflictions are produced, O’ Nanak, when the Name is forgotten. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

Fifth Guru:
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਭੇਟਿਐ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ॥
naanak satgur bhayti-ai pooree hovai jugat.
O’ Nanak, meeting the Guru, one comes to know the Perfect Way.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਊਣ ਦੀ ਠੀਕ ਜਾਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਸੰਦਿਆ ਖੇਲੰਦਿਆ ਪੈਨੰਦਿਆ ਖਾਵੰਦਿਆ ਵਿਚੇ ਹੋਵੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ॥੨॥
hasandi-aa khaylandi-aa painandi-aa khaavandi-aa vichay hovai mukat. ||2||
Following that, while living a normal life, laughing, playing, dressing and eating, he is liberated. ||2||
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਖਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਪਹਿਨਦਿਆਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ) ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੇ ਰਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Pauree:
ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਰਮ ਗੜੁ ਤੋੜਿਆ ॥
so satgur Dhan Dhan jin bharam garh torhi-aa.
Blessed, blessed is the Guru, who has demolished the fortress of doubt.
ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਅਸਾਡਾ) ਭਰਮ ਦਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਜੋੜਿਆ ॥
so satgur vaahu vaahu jin har si-o jorhi-aa.
Wonderful and worthy of praise is that Guru who has united me with God.
ਅਚਰਜ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ (ਅਸਾਨੂੰ) ਰੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਖੁਟੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਇ ਦਾਰੂਓ ॥
naam niDhaan akhut gur day-ay daroo-o.
The Guru has given me the medicine of the inexhaustible treasure of the Naam.
ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮੁਕ ਨਾਮ-ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ-ਰੂਪ ਦਵਾਈ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਮਹਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਕਰਾਲ ਤਿਨੈ ਬਿਦਾਰੂਓ ॥
mahaa rog bikraal tinai bidaroo-o.
He has banished the great and terrible disease of ego.
ਤੇ ਇੰਜ ਅਸਾਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਖਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
paa-i-aa naam niDhaan bahut khajaani-aa.
I have obtained the great treasure of the wealth of the Naam.
(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਰੂਪ ਵੱਡਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਤਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਨਿਆ ॥
jitaa janam apaar aap pachhaani-aa.
I have obtained eternal life, recognizing my own self.
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ-ਜਨਮ (ਦੀ) ਅਪਾਰ (ਬਾਜ਼ੀ) ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਹੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਗੁਰ ਸਮਰਥ ਦੇਵ ॥
mahimaa kahee na jaa-ay gur samrath dayv.
The Glory of the all-powerful Divine Guru cannot be described.
ਸੱਤਿਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ,
ਗੁਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧੬॥
gur paarbarahm parmaysur aprampar alakh abhayv. ||16||
The Guru is the himself is Supreme God, the Transcendent, infinite, unseen and unknowable. ||16||
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਹੈ ਅਲੱਖ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਭੇਵ ਹੈ ॥੧੬॥

ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰੇਦਿਆ ਜੀਉ ਤੂੰ ਕਮਾਵਦਿਆ ਸੁਖ ਭੁੰਚੁ ॥
udam karaydi-aa jee-o tooN kamaavdi-aa sukh bhunch.
live your life while making an earnest effort to remember God, and while earning the profit of Naam, enjoy the pleasure of spiritual peace.
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ) ਉੱਦਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ) ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਧਿਆਇਦਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤਰੀ ਚਿੰਤ ॥੧॥
Dhi-aa-idi-aa tooN parabhoo mil naanak utree chint. ||1||
Meditating, you shall meet God, O’ Nanak, and your anxiety shall vanish. ||1||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਈਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

ਸੁਭ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਮਣ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗ ॥
subh chintan gobind raman nirmal saaDhoo sang.
Bless me with sublime thoughts, O’ Lord of the Universe, and contemplation in the immaculate Company of the Holy.
ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ-ਸੰਗ ਕਰਾਂ, ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਲੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਰਉ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥੨॥
naanak naam na visra-o ik gharhee kar kirpaa bhagvant. ||2||
O’ Nanak, may I never forget the Naam, for even an instant; be merciful to me, God. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਹ ਭੁਲਾਵਾਂ ॥੨॥

ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇ ਤ ਕਾਹੇ ਡਰਪੀਐ ॥
tayraa keetaa ho-ay ta kaahay darpee-ai.
Whatever happens is according to Your Will, so why should I be afraid?
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ (ਅਸੀਂ) ਕਿਉਂ (ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ) ਡਰੀਏ?
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੀਉ ਅਰਪੀਐ ॥
jis mil japee-ai naa-o tis jee-o arpee-ai.
Meeting Him, I meditate on the Naam – I offer my soul to Him.
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਜਾਏ, ਉਸ ਅਗੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਇਐ ਚਿਤਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬੇਸੁਮਾਰ ॥
aa-i-ai chit nihaal saahib baysumaar.
When the Infinite God comes to mind, one is enraptured.
ਜੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਪੋਹੇ ਕਵਣੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਲਿ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥
tis no pohay kavan jis val nirankaar.
Who can touch one who has the Formless God on his side?
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੱਖ ਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਉਸ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਦਬਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਵਸਿ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥
sabh kichh tis kai vas na ko-ee baahraa.
Everything is under His control; no one is beyond Him.
ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਸੋ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਹਰਾ ॥
so bhagtaa man vuthaa sach samaaharaa.
God is abiding in the minds of His devotees, and is enshrined in their hearts.
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਸਮਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਧਿਆਇਨਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਤੂੰ ਰਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਆ ॥
tayray daas Dhi-aa-in tuDh tooN rakhan vaali-aa.
Your slaves worship You, and You are their savior.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
