ਇਸ ਹੀ ਮਧੇ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
is hee maDhay basat apaar.
Within this temple is the infinite wealth of Naam.
ਇਸ ਮਨ-ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਨਾਮ-ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਹੀ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸੁਨੀਅਤ ਸਾਹੁ ॥
is hee bheetar sunee-at saahu.
Within it, the great banker-God is said to dwell.
ਇਸ ਮਨ-ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਸ਼ਾਹ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੁਣੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਵਨੁ ਬਾਪਾਰੀ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਊਹਾ ਵਿਸਾਹੁ ॥੧॥
kavan baapaaree jaa kaa oohaa visaahu. ||1||
Who is that trader of Naam who holds the trust with that banker-God? ||1||
ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਨਾਮ-ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨ ਕੋ ਕੋ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੀ ॥
naam ratan ko ko bi-uhaaree.
Rare is the true trader of the jewel- like precious Naam,
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਹੈ,
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਆਹਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
amrit bhojan karay aahaaree. ||1|| rahaa-o.
who has made the ambrosial nectar of Naam as his sustenance. ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਭੋਜਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਹਾਰ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਰਪੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥
man tan arpee sayv kareejai.
Surrendering my body and mind, I would serve him.
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ।
ਕਵਨ ਸੁ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਭੀਜੈ ॥
kavan so jugat jit kar bheejai.
(I would ask him that), what is the way by which God is pleased.
(ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਹਰਿ-ਜਨ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ) ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਢੰਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਤਜਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰੈ ॥
paa-ay laga-o taj mayraa tayrai.
Shedding the notions of your and mine (duality) I would humbly accept him.
ਮੇਰ-ਤੇਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਕਵਨੁ ਸੁ ਜਨੁ ਜੋ ਸਉਦਾ ਜੋਰੈ ॥੨॥
kavan so jan jo sa-udaa jorai. ||2||
Who is that devotee who could help me acquire the wealth of Naam? ||2||
ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ (ਵਿਰਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੀ) ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਦਾ ਕਰਾ ਦੇਵੇ?॥੨॥
ਮਹਲੁ ਸਾਹ ਕਾ ਕਿਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
mahal saah kaa kin biDh paavai.
How can one attain God’s Presence?
ਨਾਮ-ਰਾਸਿ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਮਹਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੇਹੜੇ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਕਵਨ ਸੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥
kavan so biDh jit bheetar bulaavai.
What is the way by which one is accepted by God?
ਉਹ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਢੰਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਜੀਵ-ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੱਦਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਤੂੰ ਵਡ ਸਾਹੁ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੋਟਿ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ॥
tooN vad saahu jaa kay kot vanjaaray.
O’ God, You are the greatest Banker, who has millions of traders.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈਂ, ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਵਨੁ ਸੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਲੇ ਸੰਚਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
kavan so daataa lay sanchaaray. ||3||
Who is the benefactor of Naam? Who can take me to Him? ||3||
ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅਪੜਾ ਦੇਵੇ? ॥੩॥
ਖੋਜਤ ਖੋਜਤ ਨਿਜ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
khojat khojat nij ghar paa-i-aa.
Searching continually, I have realized God in my own heart.
(ਜੀਵ ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਨੇ) ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣਾ (ਉਹ ਅਸਲੀ) ਘਰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ (ਜਿਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਸ਼ਾਹ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।)
ਅਮੋਲ ਰਤਨੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਦਿਖਲਾਇਆ ॥
amol ratan saach dikhlaa-i-aa.
The Guru has made me realize the priceless jewel-like Naam.
ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਨਾਮ-ਰਤਨ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਬ ਮੇਲੇ ਸਾਹਿ ॥
kar kirpaa jab maylay saahi.
whenever the God unites a person with Himself, showing His mercy,
ਜਦੋਂ ਭੀ ਸ਼ਾਹ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਕਿਸੇ ਜੀਵ-ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਵੇਸਾਹਿ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੮੫॥
kaho naanak gur kai vaysaahi. ||4||16||85||
it has happened through the blessing of the Guru, says Nanak. ||4||16||85||
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਹਾਮੀ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੮੫॥
ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ॥
ga-orhee mehlaa 5 gu-aarayree.
Raag Gauree, Fifth Guru, Gwaarayree:
ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਹੈ ਇਕ ਰੰਗਾ ॥
rain dinas rahai ik rangaa.
Night and day, the Guru’s follower remains imbued in the love of God.
(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ (ਮਸਤ) ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਜਾਣੈ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਾ ॥
parabh ka-o jaanai sad hee sangaa.
He knows that God is always with him.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ (ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਕੀਓ ਉਨਿ ਵਰਤਨਿ ॥
thaakur naam kee-o un vartan.
Such persons make God’s Name as a daily necessity in their way of life.
(ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਵਰਤਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਦਰਸਨਿ ॥੧॥
taripat aghaavan har kai darsan. ||1||
Realizing God they always remains satiated. ||1||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ (ਸਦਾ) ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਹਰੇ ॥
har sang raatay man tan haray.
Imbued with the Love of God, the mind and body of those remain rejuvenated,
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਤਨ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur pooray kee sarnee paray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Those who seek the refuge of the perfect Guru ||1||Pause||
ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਆਤਮ ਆਧਾਰ ॥
charan kamal aatam aaDhaar.
God’s immaculate Name is the support of their soul.
ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ,
ਏਕੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਹਿ ਆਗਿਆਕਾਰ ॥
ayk nihaarahi aagi-aakaar.
They see only God pervading everywhere and always follow His Order.
ਉਹ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਏਕੋ ਬਨਜੁ ਏਕੋ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੀ ॥
ayko banaj ayko bi-uhaaree.
They always remain devotees of God and meditate only on Naam.
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਣਜ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਵਪਾਰੀ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੨॥
avar na jaaneh bin nirankaaree. ||2||
They worship no other than the Formless God. ||2||
ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦੇ ॥੨॥
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਦੁਹਹੂੰ ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੇ ॥
harakh sog duhhooN tay muktay.
They are liberated from the effects of pleasure and pain.
(ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਸਦਾ ਅਲਿਪਤੁ ਜੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਜੁਗਤੇ ॥
sadaa alipat jog ar jugtay.
They always remain detached from worldly riches; remain attuned to God and live righteously.
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦੀ ਯਾਦ) ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਰਹਤੇ ॥
deeseh sabh meh sabh tay rahtay.
They live among all, and yet are distinct and detached from all.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਭੀ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ (ਨਿਰਮੋਹ) ਭੀ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਓਇ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਤੇ ॥੩॥
paarbarahm kaa o-ay Dhi-aan Dhartay. ||3||
They always remain attuned to the Supreme God. ||3||
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੩॥
ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਵਨ ਵਖਾਨਉ ॥
santan kee mahimaa kavan vakhaana-o.
What glory of the saints can I describe?
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਕੇਹੜੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰਾਂ?
ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਮਿਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਨਉ ॥
agaaDh boDh kichh mit nahee jaan-o.
Their spiritual wisdom is unfathomable; I cannot estimate their worth.
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਥਾਹ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
paarbarahm mohi kirpaa keejai.
O Supreme God, please shower Your Mercy upon me,
ਹੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ,
ਧੂਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੮੬॥
Dhoor santan kee naanak deejai. ||4||17||86||
and bless with the humble service of the saints, prays Nanak. ||4||17||86||
ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੮੬॥

ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਖਾ ਤੂੰਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੀਤੁ ॥
tooN mayraa sakhaa tooNhee mayraa meet.
O’ God, You alone are my Companion and my best Friend.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਹੀਤੁ ॥
tooN mayraa pareetam tum sang heet.
You are my beloved and with You I am in love.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਗਹਣਾ ॥
tooN mayree pat toohai mayraa gahnaa.
You are my honor; You are my decoration.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਗਹਿਣਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਿਮਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਰਹਣਾ ॥੧॥
tujh bin nimakh na jaa-ee rahnaa. ||1||
Without You, I cannot survive, even for an instant. ||1||
ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਸਮੇ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਾਲਨ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ॥
tooN mayray laalan tooN mayray paraan.
O’ God, You are my beloved and You are my breath of life.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਲਾਲ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ (ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ) ਹੈਂ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਾਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tooN mayray saahib tooN mayray khaan. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You are my Master, You are my chief. ||1||Pause||
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਖ਼ਾਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਿਉ ਤੁਮ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਤਿਵ ਹੀ ਰਹਨਾ ॥
ji-o tum raakho tiv hee rahnaa.
O’ God, I happily live in whatever situation You keep me.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਹਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਰਨਾ ॥
jo tum kahhu so-ee mohi karnaa.
Whatever You say, that is what I do.
ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਜਹ ਪੇਖਉ ਤਹਾ ਤੁਮ ਬਸਨਾ ॥
jah paykha-o tahaa tum basnaa.
Wherever I look, there I see You dwelling.
ਮੈਂ ਜਿਧਰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਧਰ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਸਨਾ ॥੨॥
nirbha-o naam japa-o tayraa rasnaa. ||2||
I keep reciting Your fear-dispelling Name with my tongue, . ||2||
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਡਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੂੰ ਭੰਡਾਰੁ ॥
tooN mayree nav niDh tooN bhandaar.
O’ God, for me You are all my wealth and treasure.
(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਰੰਗ ਰਸਾ ਤੂੰ ਮਨਹਿ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
rang rasaa tooN maneh aDhaar.
For me You are all the worldly pleasures and the support of my mind.
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਰਸ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈਂ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਤੁਮ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਚੀਆ ॥
tooN mayree sobhaa tum sang rachee-aa.
You are my Glory and I remain attuned to You.
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸੋਭਾ-ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਜੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਤੂੰ ਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਤਕੀਆ ॥੩॥
tooN mayree ot tooN hai mayraa takee-aa. ||3||
You are my shelter and You are my support. ||3||
ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥
ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੁਹੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
man tan antar tuhee Dhi-aa-i-aa.
Deep within my mind and body I lovingly meditate on You.
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
ਮਰਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
maram tumaaraa gur tay paa-i-aa.
I have realized Your secret from the Guru.
ਤੇਰਾ ਭੇਦ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਲੱਭਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਿਆ ਇਕੁ ਏਕੈ ॥
satgur tay darirhi-aa ik aykai.
One who has received God’s Name from the Guru and has enshrined it in his heart,
ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਟੇਕੈ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੮੭॥
naanak daas har har har taykai. ||4||18||87||
O’ Nanak, that devotee always has the Support of God’s Name. ||4||18||87||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੮੭॥
