Siree Raag, na Guru wa tatu:

ਪੰਖੀ ਬਿਰਖਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੜਾ ਸਚੁ ਚੁਗੈ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਇ ॥
pankhee birakh suhaavrhaa sach chugai gur bhaa-ay.
The soul-bird in the beautiful tree of the body pecks at Truth with love for the Guru.
Roho kama ndege katika mti mzuri wa mwili anapekua Ukweli na upendo kwa Guru.

ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਰਹੈ ਉਡੈ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
har ras peevai sahj rahai udai na aavai jaa-ay.
He drinks the nectar of God’s Name, and resides in spiritual peace and does not wander around for Maya and is thus saved from the cycle of birth and death.
Anakunywa nekta ya Jina la Mungu, na kuishi katika amani ya kiroho na hazururi kwa Maya na kisha anakombolewa kutoka mzunguko wa kuzaliwa na kufa.

ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥
nij ghar vaasaa paa-i-aa har har naam samaa-ay. ||1||
This way, he realizes God within himself. He remains absorbed in God’s Name.
Kwa njia hii, anagundua Mungu ndani mwake. Anabaki amezama katika Jina la Mungu.

ਮਨ ਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ॥
man ray gur kee kaar kamaa-ay.
O’ my mind, follow the Guru’s teachings.
Ee akili yangu, fuata mafundisho ya Guru.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਜੇ ਚਲਹਿ ਤਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਚਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur kai bhaanai jay chaleh taa an-din raacheh har naa-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
If you act according to the Guru’s Will, you shall always remain immersed in God’s Name.
Iwapo utende kulingana na Wasia wa Guru, daima utabaki umetumbukizwa katika Jina la Mungu.

ਪੰਖੀ ਬਿਰਖ ਸੁਹਾਵੜੇ ਊਡਹਿ ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
pankhee birakh suhaavrhay oodeh chahu dis jaahi.
The soul-birds who even look beautiful in their body-trees wanders around in all four directions in search of food (Maya)
Roho kama ndege ambye hata anakaa vizuri katika mwili-mti wake anazurura katika pande zote nne akitafuta chakula (Maya)

ਜੇਤਾ ਊਡਹਿ ਦੁਖ ਘਣੇ ਨਿਤ ਦਾਝਹਿ ਤੈ ਬਿਲਲਾਹਿ ॥
jaytaa oodeh dukh ghanay nit daajheh tai billaahi.
The more they wander around, the more they suffer and burn in worldly desires and bewail.
Wanavyozidi kuzunguka kote, ndivyo wanavyozidi kuteseka na kuchomeka katika hamu za kidunia na kuomboleza.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਪਈ ਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਹਿ ॥੨॥
bin gur mahal na jaap-ee naa amrit fal paahi. ||2||
Without the Guru’s teachings, they do not find God’s presence in their heart, and they do not obtain the Ambrosial Fruit of God’s Name.
Bila mafundisho ya Guru, hawapati uwepo wa Mungu mioyoni mwao, na hawapati Tunda lenye Ambrosia ya Jina la Mungu.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਹਰੀਆਵਲਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
gurmukh barahm haree-aavlaa saachai sahj subhaa-ay.
The Guru’s follower is like God’s evergreen tree. he always remain absorbed in His love and devotion in a state of intuitive peace and poise.
Mfuasi wa Guru ni kama mti ulio kijani kibichi daima wa Mungu, daima anabaki amezama katika upendo na kujitolea kwake katika hali ya amani angavu na utulivu.

ਸਾਖਾ ਤੀਨਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੀਆ ਏਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
saakhaa teen nivaaree-aa ayk sabad liv laa-ay
By always remaining immersed in God’s praises, he conquers all the three modes of Maya (vice, virtues and power).
Kwa kujihusisha daima katika sifa za Mungu, anatawala mbinu zote tatu za Maya (dhambi, fadhila na mamlaka).

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਫਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਖਵਾਇ ॥੩॥
amrit fal har ayk hai aapay day-ay khavaa-ay. ||3||
God’s Name alone is the Ambrosial Fruit, He Himself blesses the mortal with It.
Jina la Mungu pekee ni Tunda lenye Ambrosia, Yeye mwenyewe anabariki binadamu nalo.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਊਭੇ ਸੁਕਿ ਗਏ ਨਾ ਫਲੁ ਤਿੰਨਾ ਛਾਉ ॥
manmukh oobhay suk ga-ay naa fal tinnaa chhaa-o.
The self-willed people are of no help to anybody. They are like those trees which wither away standing; they neither bear fruit nor yield Shade.
Watu wenye wasia wa kibinafsi hawana manufaa kwa mtu yeyote. Wao ni kama miti hiyo ambayo inanyauka ikiwa imesimama; hawazai matunda wala kutoa kivuli.

ਤਿੰਨਾ ਪਾਸਿ ਨ ਬੈਸੀਐ ਓਨਾ ਘਰੁ ਨ ਗਿਰਾਉ ॥
tinnaa paas na baisee-ai onaa ghar na giraa-o.
Don’t even bother to sit near them, they have no spiritual support.
Usijisumbue hata kukaa katibu nao, hawana nguzo yoyote ya kiroho.

ਕਟੀਅਹਿ ਤੈ ਨਿਤ ਜਾਲੀਅਹਿ ਓਨਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਨਾਉ ॥੪॥
katee-ah tai nit jaalee-ah onaa sabad na naa-o. ||4||
They always remain unhappy and miserable, they have neither the Guru’s word, nor God’s Name.
Daima wanabaki wamenuna na wenye taabu, hawana neno la Guru wala Jina na Mungu.

ਹੁਕਮੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਣੇ ਪਇਐ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਫਿਰਾਉ ॥
hukmay karam kamaavnay pa-i-ai kirat firaa-o.
They act according to God’s command and wander in the cycles of birth and death, in accordance with their destiny based on the past deeds.
Wanatenda kulingana na amri ya Mungu na kuzurura katika mizunguko ya kuzaliwa na kufa, kulingana na hatima zao ambazo misingi yake ni vitendo vya awali.

ਹੁਕਮੇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਜਹ ਭੇਜਹਿ ਤਹ ਜਾਉ ॥
hukmay darsan daykh-naa jah bhayjeh tah jaa-o.
While others by God’s Command, are Blessed with His Vision. They live in obedience to God’s will.
Ilhali wengine kwa amri ya Mungu, wanabarikiwa kwa Maono yake. Wanaishi kwa kutiii wasia wa Mungu.

ਹੁਕਮੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਉ ॥੫॥
hukmay har har man vasai hukmay sach samaa-o. ||5||
By Your Command, God dwells within their minds; by Your Command theyremain merged in Truth.
Kwa amri yako, Mungu anaishi akilini mwao; kwa amri yako wanabaki wameunganishwa na Ukweli.

ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਬਪੁੜੇ ਭੂਲੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਗਵਾਰ ॥
hukam na jaaneh bapurhay bhoolay fireh gavaar.
The wretched people do not understand God’s Will; these ignorants wander around lost in doubts.
Watu wa kudharauliwa hawaelewi Wasia wa Mungu; hao wajinga wanazurura wakipotea katika shaka.

ਮਨਹਠਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਹੋਹਿ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥
manhath karam kamaavday nit nit hohi khu-aar.
They go about their business stubborn-mindedly; each and every day they suffer disgrace and distress.
Wanaendelea na biashara yao na akili kaidi; kila siku wanateseka kwa aibu na dhiki.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਨਾ ਸਚਿ ਲਗੈ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੬॥
antar saaNt na aavee naa sach lagai pi-aar. ||6||
They neither attain peace of mind, nor embrace love for God.
Hawapati amani akilini, wale kukumbatia upendo kwa Mungu.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀਆ ਮੁਹ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
gurmukhee-aa muh sohnay gur kai hayt pi-aar.
Beauteous are those Guru’s followers, who bear love and affection for the Guru.
Wazuri ni wale wafuasi wa Guru, ambao wana upendo na mapenzi kwa Guru.

ਸਚੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਸਚਿ ਰਤੇ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚਿਆਰ ॥
sachee bhagtee sach ratay dar sachai sachiaar.
Through true devotional worship, they are imbued with Truth; and are judged True at God’s court.
Kupitia ibada ya kujitolea kwa kweli, wanajawa na Ukweli; na wanahukumiwa kuwa wa kweli katika mahakama ya Mungu.

ਆਏ ਸੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਕੁਲ ਕਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੭॥
aa-ay say parvaan hai sabh kul kaa karahi uDhaar. ||7||
Blessed is their coming into the world, because they not only save themselves but also save their entire lineage.
Kumebarikiwa kuja kwao duniani humu, kwa sababu hawajikomboi pekee yao tu bali wanakomboa ukoo wao wote.

ਸਭ ਨਦਰੀ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਨਦਰੀ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
sabh nadree karam kamaavday nadree baahar na ko-ay.
All do their deeds under God’s Glance of Grace; no one is outside His command.
Wote wanafanya vitendo vyao chini ya mtazamo wa Mungu wa Neema; hakuna mtu yu nje ya amri yake.

ਜੈਸੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਸਚਾ ਤੈਸਾ ਹੀ ਕੋ ਹੋਇ ॥
jaisee nadar kar daykhai sachaa taisaa hee ko ho-ay.
Whatever kind of Grace God bestows on any one, so does that person becomes.
Aina yoyote ya neema ambayo Mungu anatawaza kwa my yeyote, ndivyo mtu huyo anavyokuwa.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਾਈਆ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੮॥੩॥੨੦॥
naanak naam vadaa-ee-aa karam paraapat ho-ay. ||8||3||20||
O’ Nanak, all honors come through devotion to God’s Name, which is obtained only by His Mercy.
Ee Nanak, heshima zote zinakuja kupitia ibada kwa Jina la Mungu, ambalo linapatwa tu kwa Huruma yake.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
gurmukh naam Dhi-aa-ee-ai manmukh boojh na paa-ay.
The self-willed people do not understand that meditation on God’s Name can be done only through the Guru’s teachings.
Watu wenye wasia ya kibinafsi hawaelewi ya kwamba kutafakari kuhusu Jina la Mungu unaweza tu kufanywa kupitia mafundisho ya Guru.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
gurmukh sadaa mukh oojlay har vasi-aa man aa-ay.
The Guru’s followers are always honored (here and at God’s Court) because Godhas come to dwell within their minds.
Wafuasi wa Guru daima wanaheshimiwa (humu na mahakamani pa Mungu) kwa sababu Mungu anakuja kuishi akilini mwao.

ਸਹਜੇ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਹਜੇ ਰਹੈ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥
sehjay hee sukh paa-ee-ai sehjay rahai samaa-ay. ||1||
Peace is obtained through intuitive understanding and intuitively they remain absorbed in God’s Name.
Amani inapatwa kupitia uelewa angavu na kiangavu wanabaki wamezama katika Jina la Mungu.

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
bhaa-ee ray daasan daasaa ho-ay.
O’ brother, serve the God’s devotees with humility.
Ee ndugu, tumikia wafuasi wa Mungu kwa unyenyekevu.

ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
gur kee sayvaa gur bhagat hai virlaa paa-ay ko-ay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Service to the Guru is worship of the Guru by following his teachings.Rare are those who understand it.
Huduma kwa Guru ni ibada kwa Guru kwa kufuata mafundisho yake. Nadra ni wale wanaoyaelewa.

ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗੁ ਸੁਹਾਗਣੀ ਜੇ ਚਲਹਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਇ ॥
sadaa suhaag suhaaganee jay chaleh satgur bhaa-ay.
The soul-bride always remains united with God, if she acts in accordance with the Will of the True Guru.
Roho kama bi harusi daima anabaki ameungana na Mungu, iwapo atatenda kulingana na Wasia wa Guru wa kweli.

ਸਦਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਨਾ ਓਹੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
sadaa pir nihchal paa-ee-ai naa oh marai na jaa-ay.
She attains her Eternal, Husband-God, who never dies or goes away.
Anapata Mume-Mungu wake wa milele, ambaye kamwe hafi wala kumwacha.

ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਨਾ ਵੀਛੁੜੈ ਪਿਰ ਕੈ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੨॥
sabad milee naa veechhurhai pir kai ank samaa-ay. ||2||
United through the Guru’s teachings, she shall not be separated again. She is merged with her groom-God
Akiunganishwa kupitia mafundisho ya Guru, hatatenganishwa tena. Ameungana na bwana harusi-Mungu wake.

ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਅਤਿ ਊਜਲਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
har nirmal at oojlaa bin gur paa-i-aa na jaa-ay.
God is extremely immaculate; He cannot be realized without the Guru’s word.
Mungu ni mwenye weupe zaidi; hawezi kugunduliwa bila neno la Guru.

ਪਾਠੁ ਪੜੈ ਨਾ ਬੂਝਈ ਭੇਖੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਇ ॥
paath parhai naa boojh-ee bhaykhee bharam bhulaa-ay.
God cannot be understood by reading scriptures; the deceitful pretenders remain deluded in doubt.
Mungu hawezi kueleweka kwa kusoma maandishi; waongo wanaojifanya wanabaki wamedanganywa kwa shaka.

ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥
gurmatee har sadaa paa-i-aa rasnaa har ras samaa-ay. ||3||
God is realized only through the Guru’s Teachings, and one remains permeated with the Sublime Essence of God’s Name.
Mungu anagunduliwa tu kupitia mafundisho ya Guru, na mtu anabaki amepenyezwa na kiini tukufu ya Jina la Mungu.

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
maa-i-aa moh chukaa-i-aa gurmatee sahj subhaa-ay.
The person who follows the Guru’s instructions sheds love for worldly riches andintuitively remains imbued with God’s love.
Mtu anayefuata maagizo ya Guru anajitenga na upendo kwa utajiri wa kidunia na anabaki amejawa na upendo angavu wa Mungu.
