ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ik-oNkaar satgur parsaad.
One eternal God, realized by the grace of the true Guru:
ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜੀਉ ॥
har jee-o kirpaa karay taa naam Dhi-aa-ee-ai jee-o.
If the reverend God shows mercy, only then one can meditate on Naam.
ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਸਹਜਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਐ ਜੀਉ ॥
satgur milai subhaa-ay sahj gun gaa-ee-ai jee-o.
If one meets the true Guru, only then one can lovingly sing God’s praises in a state of poise.
ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ, ਤਾਂ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ) ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਿਚ (ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ) ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕ ਕੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਵਿਗਸੈ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾ ਆਪਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਭਾਵਏ ॥
gun gaa-ay vigsai sadaa an-din jaa aap saachay bhaav-ay.
When it so pleases the eternal God, only then one always remains delighted by singing His praises.
ਜਦੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪ ਭਾਵੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਖਿੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ l
ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵਏ ॥
ahaNkaar ha-umai tajai maa-i-aa sahj naam samaav-ay.
He forsakes arrogance, egotism and love for worldly riches, and intuitively merges in Naam.
ਉਹ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ, ਹਉਮੈ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਤਿਆਗ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ,ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੋਈ ਆਪਿ ਦੇਇ ਤ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
aap kartaa karay so-ee aap day-ay ta paa-ee-ai.
Only that happens what the Creator does; when He Himself blesses us with this gift of Naam, only then we receive it.
(ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ) ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ (ਇਹ ਦਾਤਿ) ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

ਜਦ ਮਾਣਨੀਯ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੈ ਜੀਉ ॥
andar saachaa nayhu pooray satigurai jee-o.
The perfect true Guru has enshrined an eternal love for God within me.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵੀ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਮੈ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਜੀਉ ॥
ha-o tis sayvee din raat mai kaday na veesrai jee-o.
I remember that God day and night and I never forget Him.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ।
ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵਿਸਾਰੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੀ ਜਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਲਈ ਤਾ ਜੀਵਾ ॥
kaday na visaaree an-din samHaaree jaa naam la-ee taa jeevaa.
Yes, I never forget Him, I always remember Him; I spiritually rejuvenate only when I meditate on Naam.
ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੁਲਾਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਦੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਤ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਾ ॥
sarvanee sunee ta ih man tariptai gurmukh amrit peevaa.
When I listen God’s praises with my ears, this mind of mine becomes satiated; I partake the ambrosial nectar of Naam through the Guru’s teachings.
ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ (ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ) ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਦੋਂ (ਮੇਰਾ) ਇਹ ਮਨ ਰੱਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ l
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਚਰੈ ॥
nadar karay taa satgur maylay an-din bibayk buDh bichrai.
When God shows His grace, He unites one with the true Guru and only then one’s discerning intellect always prevails.
ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ) ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤਦੋਂ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਕਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੈ ॥੨॥

The perfect true Guru has enshrined an eternal love for God within me. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਆਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥
satsangat milai vadbhaag taa har ras aav-ay jee-o.
O’ my friend, when by great good fortune one is blessed with holy congregation, only then he starts to savor the nectar of God’s Name.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ਤ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥
an-din rahai liv laa-ay ta sahj samaav-ay jee-o.
He always remains lovingly focused on God and merges in celestial poise.
ਉਹ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਵਿਚ) ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸਦਾ ਅਤੀਤੁ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ॥
sahj samaavai taa har man bhaavai sadaa ateet bairaagee.
When one merges in celestial poise, he becomes pleasing to God’s mind, and forever becomes detached from Maya, the worldly riches and power.
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ,ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਜਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥
halat palat sobhaa jag antar raam naam liv laagee.
He remains focused on God’s Name and receives honor both here and hereafter.
ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ,ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਖ ਸੋਗ ਦੁਹਾ ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤਾ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਭਾਵਏ ॥
harakh sog duhaa tay muktaa jo parabh karay so bhaav-ay.
He remains unaffected by both pleasure and sorrow; he is pleased by whatever God does.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਆਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਜਮਿ ਜੋਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
doojai bhaa-ay dukh ho-ay manmukh jam johi-aa jee-o.
O’ my friend, the love of duality (worldly riches), brings misery; the demon of death eyes the self-willed person.
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਆਪਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜਮ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਤੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,
ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ ਕਰੇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੁਖਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
haa-ay haa-ay karay din raat maa-i-aa dukh mohi-aa jee-o.
Caught in the pain of Maya, the worldly riches, he moans day and night.
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ‘ਹਾਇ ਹਾਇ’ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ।
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੁਖਿ ਮੋਹਿਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਹਿਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਤ ਵਿਹਾਵਏ ॥
maa-i-aa dukh mohi-aa ha-umai rohi-aa mayree mayree karat vihaava-ay.
He remains miserable in the love of Maya, ego provokes anger in him and his entire life passes crying: it is mine, that is mine.
ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਾਤੁਰ ਭੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ‘ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ, ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇਆ’ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਇ ਤਿਸੁ ਚੇਤੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਤਿ ਗਇਆ ਪਛੁਤਾਵਏ ॥
jo parabh day-ay tis chaytai naahee ant ga-i-aa pachhutaava-ay.
He doesn’t remember that God who gives everything and in the end he departs from the world regretting.
ਜੇਹੜਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਆਖ਼ਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਥੋਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਛੁਤਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹਿਆ ॥
bin naavai ko saath na chaalai putar kaltar maa-i-aa Dhohi-aa.
Except Naam, no one goes with the mortal and one is deceived by the love for the family the worldly riches and power.
ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਆਦਿਕ) ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ) ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ, ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛਲ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਮਿ ਜੋਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥
doojai bhaa-ay dukh ho-ay manmukh jam johi-aa jee-o. ||4||

!ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿਆਪਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਜਮ ਨੇ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਤੱਕ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ॥੪॥
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਮਹਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
kar kirpaa layho milaa-ay mahal har paa-i-aa jee-o.
O’ God, showing mercy, whom You unite with Yourself, realizes Your presence.
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਦਾ ਰਹੈ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
sadaa rahai kar jorh parabh man bhaa-i-aa jee-o.
Such a person always remains present before God with folded hands; God becomes pleasing to that person’s mind.
(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਸਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
parabh man bhaavai taa hukam samaavai hukam man sukh paa-i-aa.
When God becomes pleasing to one’s mind, then he accepts God’s will; by obeying God’s command he enjoys divine peace.
ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ, ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਤ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
an-din japat rahai din raatee sehjay naam Dhi-aa-i-aa.
He always keeps chanting God’s Name; day and night he intuitively remembers God.
ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਏ ॥
naamo naam milee vadi-aa-ee naanak naam man bhaav-ay.
O’ Nanak, Naam becomes pleasing to his mind and he attains glory by meditating on Naam.
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਨਾਮ-ਸਿਮਰਨ (ਹੀ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਮਿਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਲੇਹੁ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਮਹਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥੧॥
kar kirpaa layho milaa-ay mahal har paav-ay jee-o. ||5||1||
O’ God, bestowing mercy, whom You unite with Yourself, realizes Your presence. ||5||1||
ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! (ਆਪਣੀ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੫॥੧॥
